I'm moving to the UK this year from the US. I had bad symptoms at just over 15ng/l at 3 pm. So I've been on trt ever since. Even though my levels were somewhat high for my age, I had depression and weight gain. I'm doing fantastic now. This gives me hope that I can continue my treatment in the UK, even though I don't qualify in a textbook case.
That's great to hear that you're doing fantastic now! It's important to prioritize your health and finding the right treatment for your symptoms. Feel free to reach out to our consultants at +44-2039003209 for personalized guidance and assistance.
Hi, Could I have some advice, I take Testosterone via NHS. After 6 weeks my blood test says its 14 nmol. I take it every 6 weeks, Endocrinologist told me after 1 year today, thats a mistake its should have been every 12 weeks not every 6 weeks. Endocrinologist didn't ask me how im feeling or symptoms. Endocrinologist said as long as your in normal ranges thats what matters. I tried to get him to see my logic in how its exactly at the correct levels for me personally?!?!. Endocrinologist just shut down the conversation by saying "look its normal at 46 to not feel great & im not having you coming back to me in 5 years with accusations of making you sick and health complications from high levels of Testosterone....its not worth it to just feel good etc" Endocrinologist at this point ended meeting. Im frustrated......
It's concerning that your endocrinologist is dismissive of your concerns. Consider seeking a second opinion from a healthcare provider who values your input and considers your symptoms alongside test results. Personalised care is crucial in hormone therapy. Prioritise your well-being and find a healthcare professional who listens and collaborates with you. To learn more, please visit our website at www.balancemyhormones.co.uk.
