TigerKitty 2 question, when you record on Snapchat and the volume is up does it lower while using CarPlay ? Or no?

I understand that it’s not an hd display, but is the screen decent ?

I'm thinking about this one for my Tacoma too! How's the Android auto? I bought a Boss unit on sale a few months ago and already want to throw it in the garbage. The apple carplay works fine but the Android auto is terrible.

I installed it recently, does this head unit hold up long term or does it get laggy?

@@nautical1078 -Had for over a Year and 6 months ,bought 2 days after it came out, works the same as when i bought it ,Flawless, once you figure out how you like your music, there is always improvement, I got mine to exactly how i like it and i Love this head unit and the price ain't bad either.

Do alpine head units slow down?

@@nautical1078 No. It still works great. I have a IVA-W505 and I love it.

hows the sound quality? do you notise any hiss or distortion when volume is max?

@@nyusufffff none at all, I replaced the factory speakers and bought better ones and sounds great. Adjust the eq settings to your liking .👍

@@Tempe401 I returned it, because it was not properly working. I was unable to get the Android Auto to work. It was an excellent unit, and I wish I would have kept it. I was really impressed with the unit, but functionality was not as I thought it would be, expecially for an Alpine. Great price and worth every penny.

How do you like not so far? Thinking of switching from a kenwood ddx374

I got it from Crutchfield and it is the best place for that since they offer discounts on installation gear required for your specific vehicle.

@@salvadorvega9202 Got everything installed but still working on the speakers. I soldered this unit to the Alpine KTA-450 amp and it was super easy. The nightmare has started with putting new Infinity speakers in my truck...but I do have everything figured out and all the correct mounting kits for my truck. I have the back speakers in which was officially the ONLY true plug and play so far, lol...believe it or not it is an absolute nightmare getting the front tweeters and 6x9’s connected together correctly with this black box that all speaker wires go too. I just need to get off my lazy but and sweat it out in my garage and finally finish this install. Only thing I do no like about this unit so far...when I finally gave the speakers ready to go I have to leave the whole system out of the dashboard so I can get to the amp’s gain level controls. I am not looking forward to eq’ing because there is so much of that to do, lol This unit better sound way better than my stock ‘05’s original cheap system. Wish me luck. :)

ProTech Mech yes, all but xm since I don’t use it. I also don’t have the rear seat screen but the rear radio controls do still work with the alpine. The factory mic does not work through the kit and the alpine mic does not pickup best in the factory spot. I am still very happy with this radio and the install kit.

We did one in Subaru the other day, radio power. It sounds good. We did not check the memory.

Should be nice, iLx-007 fit well. This is basically the same

You have to switch connection in the back of radio. Very easy to do
