Especially after them using Jokic’s playoff resume as the reason. Embiid is 0-5 in the second round and 0-3 in game 7’s. Funny how they never mention that part lol
@@siniister710 They will also use the reason why embiid has a lot of FT is because he is unguardable and teams are forced to foul him. Well playoffs tell a different story, Embiid is pretty easy to guard
@@dumbassdude8372 "easy to guard" my man, theres a difference between playing disappointingly for superstar standards and being easy to guard. matisse thybulle is easy to guard, embiid is not.
I’m a sixers fan and most of us totally respect Jokic but unfortunately the loud ones as usual get the attention. I don’t know what you want from us otherwise in terms of supporting him. Fans support hometown players. If we didn’t then we’d get called horrible Philly fans and people would bring up stupid crap like an out of context Santa story from the 60’s.
Giannis after game 5 elimination: "There is no failure just steps on our journey to improving as a team." Durant after Game 6 elimination: "It's all my fault, I need to do better and ingratiate myself into this teams style." Draymond Green after Game six elimination: "I'm proud of the guys I rode in with, this ain't over! We are gonna retool and come back stronger." *Embiid after game 7 elimination:* "You see my team mates stinking it up out there? You can't expect me do it all alone! Haha want a picture with me and my MVP trophy?"
The first 3 say different things but the commonality is that they believe that the team is key for success. They never threw their teammates under the bus. Unlike Emchoker 😂
only "mvp" to never even make the conference finals and everyone in nba media is still making excuses for him. meanwhile they ignore how good jokic is playing and instead talk about how it's really the suns who "lost" the series and not the nuggets who bullied them into submission.
Meanwhile the "PLAYOFF CHOKER" Jokic putting a triple double and even higher numbers than the ones he was putting on regular season...reaching his 2nd conference finals in 4 years

This is the true story ofcourse you guys are not going to admit it that's why your basketball team and the player you keep sticking up for, is going thru what they are going thru. Karma
--- MVP is a regular season award. But in the playoffs, that's where names are made. Jokic turned it up by increasing his scoring by +6.2ppg -- just shows how much better Jokic actually is. In Embiid's defense, Doc has blown three 3-1 leads -- THREE. Harden does not show in the biggest games in the playoffs. Simmons was M.I.A. for the last 3 seasons, and well, Embiid should shoulder majority of the blame b/c he is a Superstar MVP. NOTE: If Dirk can turn around the narrative (it took him 5 years from 2006 to 2011), Embiid has a few more years to rewrite the script.
@@jlui21 "doc has blown" delusional. Nah doc isnt a great coach but the pieces he depends on play like DOGSHIT in the playoffs. No coach could make them better harden has been a playoff choker since the dawn of time and embiid is clearly following in his footsteps directly, from being an infamous foul merchant, to blaming injuries teammates, and the cherry on top being a fuckin playoff 🦆. DONT EVER COMPARE EMBIID TO DIRK LOL
@Justin Lui So now is regular season award huh?!? No matter that Embiid didn't deserve MVP. What Embiid did is indefensible. The guy is absolute fraud. You are probably the only 1 guy who is actually probably 76ers fan and not black that is trying to defend this fraud. (judging by the name)
@@jlui21 even in regular season Jokić was better at everything except scoring. In regular season or in the play-offs Jokić is better and more successful than this Crybaby
Joel Embiid stats when facing elimination, 24 PPG on 39,32 %, 10,67 rebounds, 2,33 assists, 0,67 steals, 2 blocks, 4,67 turnovers, and he has 0-6 record when facing elimination. Nikola Jokic stats when facing elimination, 26,17 ppg on 52,59 %, 12,08 rebounds, 6,58 asissts, 1 steal, 1,47 blocks, 3,17 turnovers, and his record is 8-4 in elimination games.
Sixers fans were obsessed with pointing out how much better Embiid is on defense compared to Jokić, but frankly he could be the second coming of Ben Wallace and I would still take Jokić because he actually knows how to punish a double-team instead of getting absolutely paralyzed by one.
Theetruth, Jokic has made the conference finals twice in he’s career now. Embiid has never got out of the second round. So no they haven’t achieved exactly the same in the playoffs.
Y’all know what’s worse than giving up an easy lay up or not shooting? Throwing team mates under the bus. Simmons not shooting annoys the shit out of me but the way 76ers were content to throw him under the bus was far more pathetic than anything. Now it’s become clear with embiid “James and I can’t do it alone” quote.
As someone who started watching basketball again because of Jokic, this was satisfying. I have no problem with Embiid winning MVP. Arguably, Jokic even gave it to him as a way of demonstrating to us, and much more importantly, to his team that what he really cared about was Nuggets postseason success. And I kinda wanted to see Embiid vs Jokic in the finals a la Hakeem vs Robinson (I know that was WCF, but still). Even so, this was just as good, and more predictable given Embiid's obvious postseason issues.
Couldn't have put it better myself. Embiids attitude and approach lead to this result. I also would've liked to see Jok vs Embiid finals but you reap what you sow
Jokic is going to change the game as he will force the spacing to narrow. We had 6 players on plus 30 points this year, 14 in total on +25, the scoring is out of control and needs to be addressed. People are using scoring to imply the game is much better now and the players are better which is wrong.
@@theetruth8626 Jokić averages better stats in the playoffs, whilst having made it to the WCF twice now. Both times he has a healthy team, he brings them there. And this year, they’re gonna win a ring. Jokić is averaging a 30 point triple double in these playoffs while Denver has immaculate defense, and you’re saying he hasn’t done anything. You Embiid stans must really hate looking at numbers and watching basketball, because everything shows Jokić is a beast and Embiid is a fraud.
I remember months ago there was an article about how Embiid hates post and thinks that post is an outdated skill. He also mentioned that people who talk about post have no basketball IQ. And now seeing him get crushed because of his weak low post skill is funny as hell ngl.
Thought this as well. He's just too big to play on the outside when shit gets real. Man's wasting his size and strength. He keeps playing like a freaking point guard but that stops working in the playoffs once smaller dudes are continuously hounding him. He kept getting picked or stripped it was horrible to watch such a big dude on the outside like that.
@@ChuckwaldMartin he doesn't need one. Dude's a contributor to every team he's been to, and is on the verge of having another shot at the championship. Unlike your fake MVP who needed to cry just to get his shitty ass trophy, without even getting a sniff of the conference finals 😂
The 6ers had a 3 - 1 record in PLAYOFF games that Simmons played when Embiid was out. They are 2 - 2 in PLAYOFF games were Harden played and Embiid was out. And they were 0 - 4 in PLAYOFF games where Embiid played and Simmons was out. Who was/is the real problem on that squad again?
And Joel screened Ben out the Kawai Leonard shot that put them out against the raptors. Ben had him covered till the big bumbling oaf got in the way. He would rather the team have no glory, than have the spotlight be shined on someone else. And the fact he didn't start balling till late really hurts his IQ. He has always ruined offensive sets by just coming up to the three point line and demanding the ball. Would be a nightmare to coach
One of the reasons why Embiid is bad is that the referees give him free throws for any contact. Any contact with Embiid is a foul like he's a ballerina on a basketball court. He got used to that kind of officiating in the regular season and now has blockage when the refs let tight defense and more contact in the playoffs. Since a large part of his points come from free throws, there are no fouls, no free throws, and without them, there are not so many points.
The problem with embiid is that he is too one dimensional. Lack of variety in his game allows good defenders to take away his tendencies, plus his inability to make the correct pass hurts him in the long run.
@@aquatazer Giannis maybe one dimensional but he is great what he does...He so dominant in the paint... Meanwhile Embidd didn't have anything significant skill despite having one dimensional type of play
It's ironic how Embiid needed to win MVP for everybody to realise he's not that great of a player. Dude's been throwing his teammates under the bus for years now.
MVP dude was playing hide and seek in last quarter and was choking during the entire game. Blocked and robbed few times by Celtic defense only to nail it in his interview after the defeat.
@@theetruth8626 it hurts you, people who laugh are not hurt, unlike people who cry, or even better players who cry every year for an mvp :D and after they get it, they shit the bed :D
@@theetruth8626 bullshit. Jokic won more or basicly the same amount of games with faaar less help. He did this while scoring more effecienctly playmaking and rebounding better. Last year when jokic lost to warriors, people was blaming that jokic as a two time mvp can't even make it to second round but ignore jokic 31points and 13.2 rebounds, this kind of stat still become the evidence of jokic playing bad, but when it comes to embiid, James harden sucks, doc rivers sucks, Tobias Harris sucks.........double standard
He was up and down a lot in the regular season but still way better than expected, but he was locked in against the 76ers. Missed shots are missed shots but not playing defense is never okay. Al did good.

@@TomCruz54321 he has a post up game even better than Jokic but the problem is he has forgotten that because he adjusted his game to be perimeter player which is a big mistake.
I know Embiid is horrible but those who said he is great and deserves the MVP are worse and should reflect on themselves. Seriously what are you guys watching and thinking? Imagine if it is Jokic doing this he would be treated 100x worse than Embiid. Well i guess the world is unfair
The world is unfir and always will be unfair. That is how it is. What our mission in life is to drive through that unfairness. Greatness beats unfairness and the odds.
@@nickunterhuber3189 I afraid I couldn't agree with you, everyone knows a lot of voter still factor in previous years playoffs performance in their vote in private. And how do you justify Joel is playing better in regular seasons, his rebounds and assist are not as good, the team ranking is lower. Well you could argue the number of wins are similar but Joel is in the east man. He goes no show when facing nuggets. I know you would say Joel's defense is better but he can't even guard all the smaller guards like steph and get exposed for all their layups during regular games. Well he does block once in a while when he feels like it but he doesnt do it in a consistent basis especially during big games when it matters. He always get lazy. Mentally Joel is always soft during big stage and blame his teammates. I don't see any value added if you wanna classify him as 'Most valuable player. This video is the best reflection of what he is.
@@chunhoumooi9259 Im a Joker fan, I never liked how Embiid plays. But. The reaction all over the internet is ridiculous, he definitely played on MVP level the whole season. Its an award for the season and now you are saying the voters are stupid because he didn't play well in the playoffs? you are stupid. You can make a case for Jokic and Embiid and in the end I think never getting the MVP and Jokic already has 2, was the reason everyone picked him.
If anyone who has watched basketball in Shaq and Yao’s era, he would know how bad Joel is. Real centres in that era aims to score using body strength, shooting skills and low post skills. Not like Embiid tried to bully his way in, then guess what, try to draw a foul. He will struggle badly when those calls are not called in the playoffs. For those who claim Joel has mid range, I recommend watching Yao’s clips. For those who claim Joel has low post and has strength, I recommend watching Hakeem and Shaq’s videos.
Great video as usual. So many people releasing basketball videos around this time that are just filled with empty claims, but you show why you're a pro at this, always providing numbers and breakdowns of gameplay footage.
Embiid is a playoff choker, there is a big difference between reg season and playoffs. Embiid cried his way to getting his MVP award (even though Jokić is CLEARLY a much better player, especially in the playoffs) and it seems that was his main focus. But putting up big numbers during reg season when you have ton of irelevant games where intensity is not that high and playing in playoffs where you have 7 straight games against the same team that designed their defense specifically to stop you is a massive difference. And thats where good or decent players are separated from truly great players. And Embiid is obviously not that great and certainly not worthy of being in the discussion as one of the best players in the league since this is not the first time this happened and his playoff chokes have become something you can regularly count on,g7 was just another day in the office for him. If you look at Jokić on the other hand and the way he performed so far, it is completely opposite of Embiid. He raised his game even higher and managed to put up ridiculous numbers to keep his team in a series where they faced team with 2 great allstar players that both played incredible (Booker literally could not miss a shot for a few games in a row). The moment KD and Booker had a little slip up and did not perform amazing in game 6, Joker and DEN capitalized and are now in CF. Now thats the mark of a truly great player worthy of an MVP award, not somebody who stinks it up every single year and then blames everybody else
As soon as the MVP was made about race, the real- and obvious MVP had no chance, but the truth is coming out now while Embiid is sitting on his couch and Joker laughs his way to a finals championship.
What bothers me is that this fraud had to lobby to get his MVP and took history away from Jokic who is probably the best player in the world right now. But that's okay, this year the nuggets are winning it all
@@shawnleider I did but was focused only on my favourites, Ben and Matisse. But yeah casually watched it coz only focused with my favourites. Nice that i found out about this video. :)
All that talk about Jokic's defense being a liability *specifically* against the PNR only for the Sixers to get blown out in game 7 because Embiid got HUNTED AND COOKED IN THE PNR while Jokic leads his team to another WCF. You can't make this stuff up lmao
Finally people are starting to take off the rose tinted glasses with Embiid. Let's be real here: the only reason Jokic isn't a 3 time MVP is because Kendrick Perkins went in national TV and played the race card. He put his thumb in the scale and there is nothing that anyone could tell me that would convince me that every single voter wasn't thinking about that when casting their vote.
If they gave Giannis the MVP after leading his team to the 1st seed in the East putting up better numbers I could understand... but Embiid I just can't, he's not a top 3 player in that league never mind the MVP, Giannis and Jokic are clearly the 2 best players in that league and when they are injured their teams suck, whereas Philly actually play better without Embiid as he just wants to put up inefficient shots to get his numbers
The way you view basketball combined with a good sense of humour and fun commentary makes your content extremely entertaining for me! Amazing stuff keep them coming! Hope your channel gets the recognition it deserves soon...
I'm tired of people talking about context on the Embiid quote. It doesn't matter how many times you say "I need to be better" if you follow it up with "I can't do it alone." ESPECIALLY when the two stars were the worst players in their starting lineup this game.
Exactly after his performance and lack and effort the fact that his only comments weren't aboht himself is absurd, in thay situation it is all his fault
Joel’s game doesn’t translate well in the playoffs. He’s trying to foulbait so much in the playoffs when refs usually let the game go for silly floppers. He’s also not trying to get the offensive rebounds and doesn’t sprint up the floor when he or his teammates miss shots. He’s usually the last guy up the floor. I wanted the 76ers to win against Boston so bad but Embiid wasn’t hungry for that title. It felt like he just wanted to get the MVP and not the ring. A lot of big men who has won the championship won it with rebounds and trying to get the ball in the basket, not by free throws. Joel just isn’t cut for it. It’s a shame because I really wanted a 7 game series between him and Joker. I doubt that will ever happen when he’s trying to get an extra 12-15 points from the free throw line every game instead of dunking that ball.
He's a regular season player. Plenty of those in the league he's far from the only one. I think his struggles with injuries and conditioning have always hurt his potential and his bad habit of flopping (which gets rewarded in the regular season but then not so much in the post season) mean he is ill prepared for what the post season brings. He also sadly has never had a coach that held him accountable the way he clearly needs to be. If I were Philly I'd be blowing it up and building around Maxey. Even if his value has dropped Embid would still get a massive haul in a trade.
Hahaha that intro was gold! Love that you're back uploading regularly on this channel covering many different teams!! (Not to take away from the Warriors vids on 7man ofc)
Embid is such an embarrassment. The audacity to blame lack of help from teammates in post game interview. You can use that card when u scored 40 on 60% shooting not with a performance like yours. Biggest mvp misfire ever, even Nash's mvp looks hundred percent legit comparing to that one
7 footers when they make their move should put the ball on the floor only once to establish their pivot foot. You dribble it around like a guard, every decent defender is going to strip you. You don’t see Jokic do that. One dribble and then he goes up. Even if it means going up early and trusting the floater. Keeping the ball low is a good way to lose it when you’re that tall.
THEY ARE!!! You ain't seen them putting ALL the blame on Harden??? "He needs to shave his beard to avoid being recognised in public" - SAS Well Embiid best stay his ass home cos you can't hide 7'2!!!
This is the definition of a Stat Pad. What good is that if it doesn’t help the teammates or the team win? Take responsibility and no more excuses Embiid.
Love your content bro, have for a while now. Always bringin facts and stats w your opinions, something that unfortunately very few do anymore. Especially Philly fans, they hate seein statistics, which un ironically is how you keep track of who wins and loses games! Keep it up, can’t wait to see your content after a Nuggets Championship!! Go Nuggets
Excellent vid. I've been saying this for years. He's Dak Prescott of the NBA. Pads stats against the WIzzards and Hornets etc and shows up small against good teams and in the playoffs. Plus he can't pass and gives you hardly no assists. He hurts the team so he can get 30 garbage points.
4:00 the fact that 3 of the top 4 scorers have "N/A" next to their name should be enough to tell people that scoring =/= greatness or success. and being the top scorer does NOT make you the MVP. of course we know that isn't he only reason Embiid won MVP this year. Perkins spelled it out for everyone. re-name it the Affirmative Action Award.
Horford is amazing a stretch big who can contain most post players... but that being said, Joel Embiid the MVP should be miles ahead of Al Horford and should atlest be putting up 20+ a night with Al guarding him.
@@sb17146 I mean his style of play has limitations. ISO ball and midrange can help you score in tough matchups but can’t help you win games. As good as KD and Booker who’re both shooting 50+% in isolation can’t beat the Nuggets team who can generate much more efficient shots. Not to mention Embiid is not as good as them and have major flaws in his reads and handles. Honestly his focus on developing his perimeter skills in recent years makes sense cuz it utilizes his biggest strengths but he should really learn some low post skills with his size.
Embiid is not good enough, simple, Jokic is breaking NBA records left right and centre dropping triple doubles everywhere, getting to conferance finals and finishing as the 1st seed and pouring in a huge amount of points when he needs to do it for the team. Embiid is half the player Jokic is, and he was absolutely terrible in the playoffs against 36 year old al horford
Thank you for this :) So much Embiid band wagoning -- and then all these foolish tv analysts saying that Joker can't be MVP because of his playoffs performance... look at this parallel. COME ONE ESPN !!!! What a bunch of whimps not acknowlding the objective MVP
These Playoff are so revealing. People will have a massive Joker hangover next year. There's no reason to cast any shade at the man, while Joel just got himself out of the conversation
