I saw Bob perform that same Disney strike routine live while in the audience of the Tonight Show just a few weeks before this. Getting to see him live was a privilege and I certainly miss him today. RIP, Bob!

I'm so old, when I was little I had a vinyl LP with the Driving Instructor on the A side. It's still funny. Loved Bob Newhart. RIP.

A real performer, he didn't turn his back to the audience moving toward his seat. Some hosts don't like that, but real performer prefer the audience. You can feel this slight in the tone of the host for the rest of the show.
