Funny thing is, Vince McMahon had to purchase the rights to "The Undertaker" in 1990 because there was an indie team called "The Undertakers" that existed BEFORE WWF's The Undertaker.

There was a wrestler in 1995 that called himself the "gravedigger" and came out with a manager called the "Embalmer" who looked just like Paul Bearer, complete with urn. This was at an I.W.A. Indy show in 1995 with special guest Matt Borne, who that night wrestled as Doink against Tarantula.

Those tribute shows in the UK are kind of polarising. On one hand, I've heard folks say they kept the UK indy scene alive during the late 90's and the 2000's. On the other hand, they have been blamed for the long time stagnation of the scene before it started to regain it's footing in the late 2000's/early 2010's.

The N-Word Taker, why haven’t I looked up this dude for that? 😂 There’s also a “Gravedigger” in East Europe, but had nothing to do with the Undertaker knockoffs or pro wrestling entirely. There’s this guy named “Hrobník Wane” (I don’t know if his name is pronounced as “Vain or Wayne”). He’s a masked Horrorcore rapper and content creator from Czechia, Hrobník means “Gravedigger” or “Undertaker” in Czech but he’s an original in his name. He’s a really good video editor and makes really sick tracks. 🤘🏻😈

I bench twice what Taker copycat 1 was doing, and idk wtf copycat 2 was doing with the skull on. A preacher bar to do behind the head overhead presses? Bro you missed the dopest one! He appeared in an old Bollywood movie as a side character. You can simply search it online! But this clone of him was surprisingly dope! He looked pretty similar with the first version of undertaker when he made his first appearance in WCW alongside Paul. But this clone of undertaker was no joke at all!! TakerUK isn't a wrestler but a cosplayer, he does tons of conventions and even has met Undertaker himself as well as go to Wrestlemania a few years ago and was spotted by Stephanie McMahon in her vlog. You should see his proper accurate outfits/attires, he's done 1991-1994 Taker, 1994-1997 Taker and 2004-2020 Taker too!

And the only thing the OG Taker stole was “Hell’s Gate.” It’s a shitty triangle choke, so yet another move stolen from real fighting to be demonstrated regularly incorrectly. i went to a event as a kid and it was advertised that the real undertaker would be there it sold out it was a car lot show a good bit of people actually came to see the deadman me and my grandma took a picture with him and got it autographed they where selling flyers shirts and everything i looked back at the picture when i got older and that man is definetly not the undertaker was just some big tall dude that half assed looked like him trying to impersonate him to make money i bet if wwe woudve found out they wouldve sued his ass i still have the pic to this day
