I took all the stock stuff out, cut the lines and put in a real air management system with remote control. Works like a charm now.

Hi , I have customer with same problem., I couldn't find any information , I scoped the pump and seemed good and was good enough to raise and lower vehicle , pressure seemed good , I also had issue with a rear height sensor , as I scoped it just like you would a throttle pedal and found one wave form faulty, compared to a known good ,I replaced height sensor, but was fine but the inactive warning came back on and fault came on front left this time , I tried to calibrate suspension as Well but this fault came back , the left side seems to drop 20mm , the others are fine , so I think I may have a leak on the front left or maybe module problem like yours , I'm so glad u did a video on this , I didn't have any wiring diagrams to help or values , thanks again I look forward to your fix Rob mobile man

EXCELLENT Diagnostics ... I have made up some little boxes with various linear potentiometers of differing values which I use to simulate the sensors .. they will effectively act as the voltage divider varying the 5v ref ( or 12v ref) as does the sensor in normal use ... speeds up testing of the circuit integrity ... you did well with this one ...

No vehicle is "unfixable" but some folk are certainly unable to effect repair due to time/costs / attitude etc

Hello, I am French and I use an automatic translator so sorry if there are any errors .. I replaced my 4 air cushions (e53 4.8is) but the front suspension remains very very hard! I cannot compressed them by hand, I have 12.5bars in the pressure accumulator. you know why? I have only one fault that sometimes happens: accumulator pressure remains constant, filling has been requested. Compressor ok, trim sensor ok Thank you

Fantastic video! I have the exact same problem with my car. Where did you get the module repaired from? I ask because they cost a small fortune for a brand new one.

Great video, you da real MVP!! Only thing I would avoid is shorting the 5V directly to signal, I would use a fixed or a variable resistor, especially on an unknown circuit, you really don't know what type of an input you are dealing with. Cheers!

Hi!maybe u can give me some advice,i have 1,5V on LR wheel,others have some about 3V,car is sitting lower on LR,no error on IC,i put new sensor and no change,in LSZ module i have error of HVA control device,tommorow i go step by step of your trilogy :D

Hi mate. I got the same prob on a 55 4.8 e53. I’ve checked for leaks in the pipes and the bags. No leak. I’ve checked the pump, works perfect. But when I turn the car off the left side dips after about 30 mins and if I leave it longer the whole front end drops. Soon as I start up the car raises to the correct level. But when I park the car and leave it in the highest suspension setting it stays up all night which must mean no leak. BMW said change the bag there might be a leak, but I don’t trust them, plus I have had three of theses cars in the past with all the same probs, and the trial and error process in ridiculous on the pocket with no fix. Please any one, any ideas.

I went thru this too this guy very good mechanic I love 4.8 is but one thing after another this SUV costs 72000 shame on bmw for making them so unreliable can bmw make a reliable car !?!?!

A lot of my friends are telling me that BMW X3 from around 2012-2013 (the facelift) with the 2.0 petrol engine is a very good and reliable car. What is your opinion on that? They say only the X3 with the 2.0 petrol engine.

my e39 really had me stuck for over a year with what was wrong, and in the end, i put a potentiometer on one of the sensor wires, and looked at inpa to see what was happening, and it was working ok. I then binned teh chineese sensor i had, and bought a genuine one, and it worked ! thanks for the vids.. No more progress on the victory?
