Harry Potter because I read all the books and watched all the movies and he was scary at first but now, Professor Snape is one of my favorite professors and I love re-watching all the movies.
Always. Alan's turn as Colonel Brandon is one of my favourite performances of his, since he's unanimously a heroic character. Since the wedding scene was the first scene he filmed, he joked that he got married before even saying a single line.
Alan Rickman was an brilliant actor. He could make even the most mundane acting part memorable. And his voice is unforgettable. He was absolutely the best part of the Robin Hood movie.
How, HOW, do you not mention Colonel Brandon!? I will forever say I loved him as Snape, but I fell in love with him as Brandon ❤️ I cried multiple times the day he passed, and that’s no small thing for me. He truly is an icon.
I discovered Alan Rickman back in 1999 with *_Truly, Madly, Deeply_* and have loved him ever since. His work with Emma Thompson is always great because their chemistry is so strong. RIP dear Alan. My heart goes out to your family ❤️🩹
I loved him most in Sense and Sensibility as the wonderful Colonel Brandon. And, this was the first time I thought about the actor, "That Alan Rickman is pretty darn sexy!!" haha. If only more men were like that character. Brandon was so kind and would do anything for the woman he loved including allowing her to marry someone else if that was what would make her happy. Rickman portrayed the character with charm and sensitivity. His acting when he first laid eyes on Marianne let us all know it was love at first site. I'm just glad that she saw in the end what a prince she had in Brandon.
Rest In Peace Alan Rickman. Brilliant actor, excelled at all he appeared in. Gone way too soon. Glad you included Galaxy Quest. As a ‘star trek geek’ I adored that hilarious and loving spoof
He totally outshined the much bigger star at that time, Kevin Costner, when he played the most iconic Sheriff of Nottingham of all time in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. I consider Alan Rickman one of the greatest actors of all time.
The fact that the notification of this video cropped up when I was reading the infamous Harry Potter scene where everybody finds out Snape's true colours is downright terrifying. Msmojo, are you watching me? 😳😂❤
I absolutely adored this man from when I first saw him in Die Hard. Both incredibly handsome and quite cheeky, and an incredibly talented actor. He was taken way too soon😢
When I first heard his voice in Die Hard, I thought he was German or from some other European country until I watched one of his interviews that he's British.
Loved alan rickman in Sense and sensibility Die hard and in the harry potter films and dogma that film is so underrated he truly was a gifted actor ❤❤❤
Alan Rickman was always an incredible actor and a really nice person. I hope I get to meet him someday. Until then, I'll take all the HP marathons I can get! RIP Alan Rickman, you will ALWAYS be the best Professor Snape 🙏🙌
I love Alan Rickman (for more than just Snape; my goodness, man has an amazing, solid HISTORY of work and that's all people bring up). I literally have not been able to bring myself to watch anything with him in it since he died. Same for Robin Williams and Chadwick Boseman. It's like, I know I'll cry my eyes out, so I just don't go there, lol. In fact, I'm not going to watch this video because just seeing him in Prince of Thieves in the first second, which was the first movie I ever saw him in as a kid, has me starting up, but I had to leave a comment in respect.
Alan u will always beloved and missed and one of many entertainers thats up in heaven and now in our hearsts❤ but yall Legacy lives own in yall work and our hearts ❤
To me, it’s not Professor Snape. I don’t watch Harry Potter. It’s Judge Turpin from Sweeney Todd. Even though it was his first time singing, he did an amazing job!
The only villain I know of him is Hans Gruber in Die Hard. I watched it earlier last year during my Christmas break. I think he did great a job as the villain
If I Were Win an Oscar For a Movie It'd Be Blood In Blood Out (1993) If were to win a Razzie for a movie It'd be Clockstoppers (2002) don't want nothing to do with Nickelodeon
Y'all didn't even touch on his role as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility. I very much dislike all things Hairy Potty, but very much love all things Jane Austen.
The thing that fascinates me about his performances is he tried to somehow add a bit of humor that served the characters and stories. He knew what kind of humor to use and how much to dial it up.
Sweeney Todd - such an EPIC singing voice Severus Snape - made the unlikable likeable Metattron in Dogma - proof a serious actor can make you laugh Absolem - a fitting finale to his amazing career
Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. He really excelled at playing villains, and was apparently a gentleman in real life. Now, let's turn to page 394 in his honour. ❤😇
Add to my favorite Rickman roles that of Rev. Obadiah Slope in Anthony Trollope’s Barchester Towers. Rickman plays the bishop’s scheming chaplain, in cahoots with the fearsome Mrs. Proudie, the bishop’s wife. 😃👍
The role of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in the movie “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves” was one of my favorite things about Alan Rickman. He was evil but funny at the same time. I loved the line when he was yelling at Robin Hood, “I’m going to cut your heart out with a spoon!”
Alan Rickman was a true actor to his art. Seeing him in anything brings out the quality of any film. And I was afraid of what this video might entail about him.
Hans Gruber is one of the best action film villains ever, and in large part to Rickman, he was charming. It's easy to play smug, it's harder to make a part of you to want him to win. 'Die Hard' is my all-time favorite film, so Hans Gruber is Rickman's role that I'll cherish the most.
That Rickman was as much in the dark as the fans IS the rumour. The truth (which Rowling and Rickman themselves confirmed in several interviews) is that Rickman accepted to play Snape after Rowling divulged Snape’s story and his destiny - which she had already in her mind - with him.
