Not to happy about the pounce update it makes no sense for someone not to be injured by a direct bite or tail attack etc but hope they fix that soon doubt it because alderon never really listens
the chat accessibility features are HUGE. i'm living with vision loss, and on some days reading the chat was impossible. especially because the default chat colours are so similar. i'm beyond happy to see these changes after using an external program to upscale the chat window. really hoping this paves the way for even more accessibility features!
@@Sevenma i'm doing good! currently receiving eye injections which have greatly improved my visual acuity :) additions like this are so important especially for people worse off than me. i appreciate your concern!
@@HashknightGaming how so? what in particular has broken for you? i haven't experienced any issues directly relating to the chat features. could it potentially be something else that has caused the game to break? we did just get the struthi tlc. have you filed a bug report?
Pounce update is really infuriating. The possibility of damage that a big Dino could do to a pounced raptor was realistic and very situational. For example if an Achillo pounced on the back of a stego, it could get hit with the tail, however if it pounced from the front, the tail wouldn't hit it..this was realistic and also needed a bit of skill from the raptor to position itself better. But now an Achillo killed my stego in 2 pounces. It completely ignored my tail swing when it jumped to pounce on my back. It got me to half health while I helplessly spammed the shrug button. It then safely went 50ft away, regenerated it's stamina, came back and finished my stego. Now how is this balanced, fun???
So many map changes, tinting changes on the biomes, the lighting on sunset and sunrise has changed, all the new biome upgrades… YES I am so darn excited! Time to explore! Beautiful new spots to frame into a documentary for sure, love how the dev’s are rolling out updates so frequent. 😃🚀🥳 I wonder is the mud and reeds that we can pick up is designed to eventually build your nest with on the places nesting spots? 👀
The update to pounce is just straight up unbalanced. They can deal to damage to me, but I can’t deal damage to them. They either need to drastically increase the amount it takes to pounce or make it so the one pouncing takes increased damage from other Dino’s.
@@unfaircatt I agree, its so frustrating. The devs don't listen to feedback. I heard they turned off the feedback channel due to so many people complaining.
I wish they would change the rainbow hills completely to somerhing else I never ever see players at the rainbow hills and any time I accidentally go there while walking around I go off it immediately as it breaks immersion for me and no one ever plays in that location, might as well use it for a different kind of biome something like thick jungle
I play on pt: realism and a lot of Dino’s go there, it has mass amounts of food for herbivores? It has water, and next door at rockfall has an entire fresh water lake? It’s an extremely cool biome. Idk if you play on officials or where but realism servers get players all over the map and by far is so much more fun
surprised the devs havent tinkered around with IC, that part needs some tlc for little cave systems, hide holes for smaller creatures, more rock formations etc
They are trying to draw players away from ic so it will get no love for a while, notice how all map updates have happened in most places other than the main known hotspots.
Its crazy and scary that if i see 2 little, tiny raptor as an iggy... i know im done. Im way bigger but my thumb only kicks to the left with just 40 damage(if its opponent same weight class) and have no abilitys to save my sides. U can jump on me, deal damage, let felt off and pounce again. I cant do nothing. Its like 2 chickens kill an kangal.
@@articdialationcold3913it isn't that bad man, they still don't do much damage i focus on the ones that are waiting to pounce once the one thats pounced runs out of stamina, ran into acouple packs doing that strat where they hop on as soon as the other hops off but they're still no match for a EO
New pounce update is horrible. I hate how they ignored the 90% of players who literally said "No, we don't want this." Now raptor gameplay is completely skilless and braindead and they're just so unfun to play anymore. I used to be a raptor main, however I have switched completely to cera JUST so I could have an actual challenge while playing the game, instead of the devs holding my hand and giving me crutch after crutch like they do for the raptors.
Bro, i like your videos, i really do, but it's the third time you made a Showcase on struthi's TLC, nearly nothing changed since it came to the PTB, doing it after it's release in the main branch is ok, but why do it again? Again, your videos are good, but sometimes you show the exact same thing over and over, wouldn't be easier to do it only when it's necessary? One last time: i'm trying to make a constructive criticism, I think I have to make this clear one more time Hope you understand
I was so confused when I played first and the tail attacks WEREN'T directional. Every dinosaur game I'd play before let you choose which side to swing your tail
I my opinion this update is disappointing, kentro for example it’s unable to hit things half the time due to its attack being delayed or phasing through your opponent. The two things I’d say that are good about this update other then the small map changes are the Struthi tlc and Achillo shred nerf. I was hopeful we would get a balancing patch to fix the some of the changes from lambs update
@@CRose9205 actually no lambs fine as it is since it’s made to be in a group with combat herbs, what I mean is they need to balance the existing problems like nerfing bone break, nerfing claw barrage, nerfing Thals collision and buffing the playables that need buffs like Alio and Kent that way all dinos will be playable instead of them working on adding things like new foliage or 200 player servers as yes though it will be great to have better looking environments and better server performance I think the roster being balanced so people can actually play as whatever they want should take priority. Priority should be balancing the roster/tlcs and fixing bugs then server preference and foliage and the once that’s done they can add new playables snd game modes. Sorry for the paragraph I just wanted to put it all into one reply rather then multiple lol
this new update messed up the chat for playstation users (at least)😭 every time i press triangle to open the chat box and type it opens the social menu for some reason? i have to scroll all the way down and select the chat box to chat now 😓
I feel like this raptor update is a bit op. I understand what it accomplished because if you're tiny af and pounced prepatch, if you got bit (which you could avoid by pouncing on specific areas) you'd be almost dead already. They could've just made it so either you take reduced damage or could move on the pounced dino. That way it isn't completely op
If we're talking logic in terms of game mechanics (not balance), I saw being damaged while pouncing as a bug... An example, stego has two pounce locations; one towards the head you can't be damaged on, and one on the flank that you CAN. Why have the one on the flank if you're not meant to be damaged, or the one by the head if you are?
Hot take, the pounce change is hardly any different than how it was before. Things weren't meant to hit you off, they were meant to buck you off. This isn't a buff, it's just fixing a mechanic that is already fine- Albeit quite strong. I don't understand why people think this is a crazy change. Most things couldn't do damage to you while pounced anyway.
To the Wilderness Peak not having a nest, I beg to differ. If you go down the side of the mountain that borders White Cliffs (using the water pond as a direct marker), you will find a skeletal structure with a nest FULL of edible carnivore eggs.
My brothers in Panjura: CAN YOU NOT SHAKE EMOTE THE LATCHED PLAYER OFF???? I keep hearing everyone say you can’t damage them, but if shaking gets rid of them, how is being this update any worse than a Sarco handbagging you???
I feel tail attackers would need upwards tail options to hit things easier. An example is that a kentro can only hit an allo if it is bitting its hips because, well, the tail attack can't hit its body and head. At least make it a separate attack slot, so let's say a stego would need to sacrifice or its charge or its normal attack to equip it.
@@BeegRanho I was under the impression that the charge attack did as much damage as two regular attacks, if not less than two a regular tax. So there's no point in spending time charging an attack and wasting stamina and the charge when it takes so long to charge it. Just spam regular attacks
@@CoreyandCrew the thing is.. it can hit apex bodies better, because the normal tail is to short on the ground, and the bleed is still much bigger, so you can regen health while they are dying. That's why it only works on apexes with no stam left tho
@@BeegRanho fair points on the bleed and angle of attack. Didn't really notice the animation being much different aside from the winding up. Makes sense though man
I actually find modded to be worse as most modded dinos are extremely overtuned like Austro which causes people to play them, you won’t believe how annoying a pack of Austros are and I see them everywhere
Yeah modded servers are so much better. Implemented rules where there are servers for everyone’s different tastes. Not to mention passive growth. I don’t have the time of day to waste away growing a Dino that doesn’t naturally grow throughout the game. Way too time consuming. As much shit as officials get about its toxicity, I want to see it myself it sounds chaotic lol. That growth system they have for officials is a no no.
Hopefully the directional attack comes to all animal tail attacks in future but another idea though of when in fight with another player or in future A.I lock on target will be a thing as well as switch between targets for those pesky group 1v2 or that shit. Another cool mod or official animal that could benefit too would be Gallimimus and Stygimoloch
When u were in your settings i saw u had cinematic mode on for some settings, whenever i put it on i get a warning, but what happens if u ignore the warning?
Nothing much will happen, nothing stopping you from selecting the settings but if you don't meet the system requirements for cinematic your game will be laggy and possibly crash
About a year ago, I was a free demo player on mobile. I wished raptors, campto and struthi wouldn't be so forgotten. Idk if the new pounce update was what I meant by wishing that.
They will probably revert the pounce change but geeze people calm down lol. I’m still clapping with my ducc. Dropped 3 Achillos earlier even with the update so it’s clearly not the end of the world
The autorun change would be nice if it were optional. I used to steer with my mouse but also did wish i could free look sometimes. Could even pull a Rust or Dayz where holding another key enters freelook.
I hate the pounce one because if ur pounced onto their head obviously u can hit him? Should rather be that the pouncer takes less damage like they use the hiss ability while pounced could be a sense or something.
Velocci you're a gem with all that updates. Im glad to have you and i watch every video, sometimes you upload at the hour im at work and i just get excited whenever i come back, update the game and check mod/feature etc
How good is new DB Acro? Is it just a visual change or is it stronger than the old version? Is it stronger/better than Absentia stat and ability wise or is Absentia still better overall aside from visuals?
Pounce was already insane and now it's worse. I lost my adult sucho to one achillo cos it pounced me and shredded all of my health in one go. Literally nothing I could have done other than not been in the area
Every update on this game makes me want to play it less and less. Like the devs dont know whats fun. They just cater to raptors only. I remember when everyone was complaining about rex that it could just face tank every dino and requires no skill. So they nerfed rex. But raptors dont get this treatment. People express raptors are op and what they do? Make them more op what fun that is. I mean they even changed slick scales so you couldent negate there pounce anymore. Honestly this game needs to change its name from path of titans to path of raptors because thats all this game is about now.
so you still need to actually hold shift to trot in autorun? If so its a shame, id preffer if it was a toggle. My pinky finger has its days of holding shift for minutes behind it, i cant do thsi anymore. I also dislike the other changes to be honest, autorun let me take my hand off me keyboard for longer treks across the map when my wrist started hurting (mm carpal tunnel)
I’m sorry but this pounce update is absolutely horrible hate it…and adding nests too which I’m hoping are AI Dino’s nests…because everyone would love to build their own nests and it have one already made for them that’s just boring I kinda wish they had not added nests in this update if there is literally 0 use for them I guess everything else is ok.But the pounce update was just pointless I saw so many people saying they did not want that and well they ignored us.
@Meekoid I disagree with the other guy to an extent! Solo play can be incredibly rewarding depending on your server of choice and what creature you're playing. For someone just learning the game, the kinds of servers I would try are deathmatch (for combat practice) and semirealism (for actual rules so you have some kind of chance/there aren't insane mega packs). People will try to tell you Officials are somehow 'the real way' to play the game, and they're all dinguses. Some creatures, especially smaller dinos, really benefit from a pack... really every dino does. But once you get around Achillobator size, you start having a lot more survival options as a solo. Your focus should be on learning how to escape first, not on how to kill- the killing comes later! Although: I say this as someone who personally doesn't have taste for the biggest dinos like Rex, and if that's your flavor, you're gonna have a little more trouble getting to adult on your own. The playstyle relies on you being slow and heavy, which isn't the best as a cute edible little morsel of a baby lol. I wouldn't start with apexes for that reason, it really won't be fun if you don't know what you're doing yet. My best solo choices for an unmodded server, trying to give an array of playstyles: Pycno, Achillo, Styraco, Thalassa, Pachy.
Im not saying that solo is impossible, but compared to all the group buffs and benifets and now u need a packmate to get raptors off of u, it definitely feels that way
I like the pounce change because before there were some dinosaurs that were just a no-go for pouncing, like stego. Now raptors/pouncers can actually fight those creatures instead of just avoiding them or being skilled enough to dodge every tail swipe. At least now raptors can use the pounce on whatever they'd like to go after. Bucking is still really effective anyway...
That’s just natural, though. That’s why the food chain exists-some things just aren’t meant to contend with those higher up. A Rex player shouldn’t die so easily just because its pouncers can’t be hit. There’s no defense for the Rex and Raptor gameplay is now braindead. No skill whatsoever.
Never understood this, it should be unfair. Tiny raptors shouldn't be taking rexes and all this large stuff on in the first place. The second you have 3 or more raptors you might as well give up as a large dino because you can't catch them at all. The large dinos attacks are so easy to avoid as raptors. I play alot of the smaller dinos in this game and raptor by far is the easiest to kill things with.
Everytime someone says "i think the new latch mechanic makes sense!" I think of the OG Jurassic Park when Rexy snatched tf out of that raptor that jumped on her 💀💀💀
Not really, Pachy was good because you could knock things off and Alio because you could out speed, turn and where unpounceable by raptors but now both can be pounced and they don’t really have a counter since you can’t hit things latched to you
I have to 100% disagree with you. With the raptor not being able to take damage with what they've taken away from the raptor, it completely deserves it. On that note, if you're able to reach and fight the raptor, I think that should still do damage, but for instance the packy when it does its kick. How do you kick something on your back?
And another thing, it makes the raptors stupid op, especially after they made slick scales only increase the power of bucking and stam decrease for the raptors instead of being 100% immune to it
Man Dino survival games always gotta glaze pounce abilities lmao. They know raptors are weak on their own so they gotta constantly give them princess treatment to make them viable lmao.
Everyone crying about the new pounce u know what really annoying the fact a eo can glitch its head into its neck and can some how bend its horns around its shoulder and hit ur achillobator thats annoying and very unrealistic not saying u cant hunt a animal pounching but imagine saying u can lunch and kick and possibly end a tiger that pounced on ur back 😂 its just even more annoying the community thinks like this but then cry they want more realism as far as combating
How much are they going to buff raptors? The ability to increase the stamina cost to buck is just straight up wrong on it's own, now they can't be hit by the dino they're latched to too? Might as well take away the ability to buck altogether. I gotta believe the autorun lack of mouse steering is a bug. I'm having trouble with disturbing critter dens too.
