It's My Time To Fly by The Urge from the Titan A.E. OST This is purely fanmade and not for profit!!!!! Enjoy. Wait, how many views??? It's a good song sure...but.....damn! Oh well, check out my other stuff!
DAMN STRAIT! The movie is from my child hood. and it's still good compared to this day and age standards, and I'll be-damned if I'm no longer able to watch it!
Doesn't matter we can all agree this was an amazing scene in the movie an amazing mixture of animation and 3d effects with a more amazing emotional aspect that was just FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
that would be due to the terrible marketing the film had and also that it had to compete with toy story 2 which just added to the problems the film had it is still one of my favourite films of all time
The part when they say "dreams become reality" has given me goosebumps since I was 10 years old, I'm 28 now and it still gets me every time... this and Cosmic Castaway were my anthems as a young teenager lol
well 54 and love it...p.s thanx for the cosmic castaway coz youtube will fuck our memeriesru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mvOZcmi-CQs.html
This film's really underrated. I mean, it had a great soundtrack, some great characters, an excellent cast (Matt Damon, Drew Berrymore, Bill Pullman, Nathan Lane), beautiful animation, and Don Bluth's fearlessness in that it has some dark and serious scenes you wouldn't expect in a "kid's" movie. Now, it does have some cliches, but it's a great film nonetheless, and it saddens me that Bluth stopped making movies after this film, which should have been his great comeback.
+jw8395 The animation was fine for it's time but it looks quite dated by today's standards. Also, it wasn't supposed to be a kid's movie but the advertising couldn't decide on that. If anything, this movie is actually overrated. It's an average film and an unfinished one at best thanks to Fox mishandling it.
jacoblgames I still think the animation is excellent, but I will concede that it has trouble deciding on what kind of film it wants to be. Frankly, a part of me thinks that it should have been rated PG-13 thanks to the blood and violence, but they probably figured they could make more money if it was rated PG. And then it bombed anyway.
From what I can find, most of the soundtrack is actually on Spotify. I have "Over My Head" and "Not Quite Paradise" on my playlist. But as far as I can tell, this is the one song not on Spotify and it irritates the hell outta me.
I watched this movie while a was a child (5 yo) and now i'm on the way to 30. For years I forgot the name of this OST , and now , I have it in my FAVORITE ! THANKS
@@drymeee I feel that if they did a Reboot or go full live action a whole lot of the art of this one unique film would be lost. It is the only one of its kind, a sketch and 3D blend this is the step before animation as we know it today.
It's my turn to fly I'm proving ground tonight Try to be the best that I can Grown to be a man Only human can understand I fill my lungs with fear, and I exhale It's my turn to fly Father, be with me tonight Uh, I'm right on target (keep that dream alive) It's my turn to fly Gotta prove this tonight Deep in 3043, the refugees survived The whole of humanity lies in my hand Give me the chance to tonight I'll prove to you what's in my eyes Bring us to victory Our dreams become reality It's my turn to fly Father be with me tonight Uh, I'm right on target It's my turn to fly Father, be with me tonight Uh, I'm right on target (keep that dream alive) It's my turn to fly Gotta prove this tonight (let's do this together) It's my turn to fly Father, be with me tonight Uh, I'm right on target (keep the dream alive) It's my turn to fly Gotta prove this tonight (keep that dream alive) Let's do it, let's do it, do it, do it
Side note: *our dreams become reality* I realize it doesn't necessarily need the connection to make sense, but I do like the implications of connecting this line to the "But I'm not broken, *in my dream I win"* from _Cosmic Castaway._ Especially when _Cosmic Castaway_ really isn't unique to Cale. I think that song describes the lived experience of most humans post Earth's destruction (assuming they survived of course)
I love this song. My dad passed away before this movie came out, but I know he would have loved it. And he got to see it in a way, since hes always with me, always watching over me...I'd like to hope that he's proud of me, even for all my many flaws. I always try to live in a way I think he would be proud of, and one thing he taught me before he left, was the value in reaching out to people that others might overlook, like the homeless. My dad was always going up to homeless people and just asking them how they are, seeing if they need any help, and just treating them like dignified human beings, which was so drastically different from how I saw others pretend like they didn't exist, and to this day I always will make time for anyone on the street that needs help or just wants to talk. I'm very glad I picked that up from him. I love him so much. I can't wait to see him again, but until then...it's my turn to fly. Father be with me tonight. I'll keep the dream alive.
At 8 years old I never thought this song would mean so much to me. Now it always makes me think about my dad whom I cut out of my life because he was a toxic influence on me, always has been. But now it's *My turn to fly*
loperspest Dude You are comparing this to the LOTR animated movie? What is wrong with you? I mean i dont care if it is the original movie of that kind of story but i watched the LOTR and you clearly dont wanna know what i think about that movie But lets just say it like that: LOTR Animated is on the same level as Clone Wars for me It doesnt reach the point of Epicness that Titan AE already went miles past (In case you dont understand the last thing there: I mean that Titan AE set a new point for epicness that was way higher then any animated movie could ever reach. Of course only in that certain genre)
Totally disagree. No need for a series or any continuation sequels or expansion of the "universe" or whatever have you. This movie is absolutely fine as a stand alone. It has a beginning, middle and end. The Dredge are defeated, the earth is reborn and story was complete. I do not need to know if Damon's or Berrymore's characters got married had kids or anything such. I do not need to know what the other alien races did or ended up doing. Why does everything need expanding and detailed descriptions with clif notes and bi-lines and expanded story telling? Can't people live with a simple story without all the extra add-ins? Just leave well enough alone.
Air Force MEPs tomorrow, it's 0130 and I'm cranking it! Had one hell of a childhood, hope someone reads this and knows how it feels to be so close to the biggest change in your life
This is epic. Im 54. Saw the movie in the theatres, and its been in my movie catalog since streaming started. This movie is about HOPE. the music is epic as well. Its my favorite movie..ever. we will WIN! as long as we dont consume each other. Time to group up and DOMINATE
+cjallday1130 It's not underrated. If anything, it's actually overrated. It's an average movie and an unfinished film at best thanks to Fox mishandling it.
As a bit of a sci-fi nut, this still ranks as one of my favourites. Yes, it has issues, but it also has the best Earth destruction scene in all of cinema history. A definite watch for anybody who want's a one-off sci-fi movie with no loose ends.
The amount of different different emotions this brings out of me is insane. Sadness my father isnt there for me, wishing hed be with me for one night, still doing the best I can. Tears of sadness turn to tears if joy as I realize we are all out here trying to fly, pictures with the wake angels this was a masterpiece.
All of these years later this song randomly popped in my head... so I went on eBay, bought a new copy of the special edition so that I can show my kids haha 😆 I secretly can’t wait for it to get here so I can watch it too !
@@southerngunnut5661 That's sweet 😁 The world needs more parents who are big kids themselves lol. I'm sure your children will look back one day and cherish these memories 😁
When one writes songs, at the end of the day, all I'm trying to do is capture a mood/sound/melody that appears briefly in my head. The fact that it can have such an amazing effect on other people is absolutely wonderful - you have no idea how awesome it is to hear this :))
I think they should do a remake. They should keep all the music and events in the story, and then add some. I don't think enough stuff happened in the story. Also bring back Joss Whedon to rewrite the story. I loved the the movie as a kid but hadn't watched it in a while cuz my parents threw away the VHS/VCR. I finally caught it on tv a few weeks ago. Two things ran through my mind: "NOSTALGIA" and "this has so much more potential".
It was my favourite sci-fi movie as a kid. I totally agree! Remaking it today would be awesome because we could do so much more with animation and graphics!
This song ain't that bad at all. Kind of gives you that hopeful feeling that one day all of us will be able to fly anywhere we wanna go - in the skies & one day, in space!
Watched this movie after 15-16 years and damn! This movie is awesome and didn't remember how amazing the soundtrack was. The sequence where this song appears is incredible!
I don't get why I haven't seen one of those "people are awesome" videos put to this yet, with guys doing epic big-air backflips on bikes, snowmobiles, flyjets, etc... Sure, it would need the "3034" exposition removed from the middle, but this always encourages me to work harder when I listen to it. Every time I reach a milestone at work or accomplish a major goal, I always think "DREAMS BECOME REALITY!" from this song.
I fell in love with this movie from its beginning. I am 38 yrs of age and still fall asleep watching this with its awesome awe inspiring visuals and soundtrack.
I remember seeing this at an advanced screening, and getting that RUSH of, “wow… I just saw the beginning of the next Star Wars!” It was the same feeling I had when I saw the first episode of, “Firefly”. 😞
Honestly, a live-action production would kind of ruined the feeling, if being animated is one of the reasons why I love it so much. It was also groundbreaking back then, it was one of the very first films that had both 3-D and 2-D involved in it's animation and production, giving it a unique feel. Live action would ruin it.
I remember watching this movie around the time i was playing Nintendo 64. before the gamecube was ever thought of. Playing games Star Fox 64 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
Cobus Le roux Debatable on whether or not it was even good for its time. By the way, it's PG. And it certainly isn't the only PG cartoon that allowed bloodshed and death.
Cobus Le roux Let me start off by saying that you're going on the assumption that neck-snapping is the most violent thing shown in that cartoon. Wizards is arguably more violent than neck-snapping, The Lord of The Rings is also arguably more violent than that, and Fire & Ice contains very non-PG imagery. And let's not forget that there are G movies that have some really non-G imagery: Tarzan shows a hanging though it is brief, Mulan depicts a massive amount of deaths in the avalanche scene (remember how few soldier Shan-Yu had left), The Hunchback of Notre Dame contains very non-G themes (Quasimodo's mother dies on-screen due to the shock from the steps), it's worth noting that the makers of Secret of NIMH were aiming for the PG rating yet got a G rating, Littlefoot's Mother had a chunk of flesh missing, and doesn't the Wardrobe in Beauty and The Beast kill a man by crushing him? You better not complain about me doing more than what you asked for.
jacoblgames *sigh* very well, you have made your point. My comment shall be removed, though reading that has made me realise something... cartoons have become really shit over these past 10 years. p.s. i cried when Littlefoot's mother died. i still do. :'(

I remember watching this film when I had the ps1 in 2000, before when the Microsoft Xbox was even thought of, and I still remember the games I use to play... Final Fantasy IX and Mortal Kombat 4!
Director: Can you give me a song with lyrics about the specific story of the move but also make it a banger that people will keep listening to years later? Musician: i got u
Dude, this song from this movie was fucking killer. There's still times late at night when I'm traveling along the many roads I've been, and I'll get this song in my head. Suddenly it's just free sailing. The lights swim by, the foliage of the trees and their canopies meld into the cosmos and everything is free.... Those are the times of peace....
My dad showed me this movie in like 2009 and it always became one of my favs and this song brings back so many memories of long car rides and falling asleep in the car
