I recently finished rewatching all 8 seasons of TVD and one thing I didn't catch before is the fact that everyone in this show has mommy and/or daddy issues.
I’m telling you guys. The one relationship that matters the most in this show will always be that of Stefan and Damon. The next episode, FYI, was the mid-season finale. I remember it being hell to have to wait two months to pick up the story again.
Noo, that's not "the process" (a part of it, maybe). Feeding a wounded human with vampire blood will simply heal them. Vampire blood has healing properties, although it won't help you if you are already dead. The process to make someone a vampire is as follows: 1. Feed a human with vampire blood. The reason doesn't matter, whether intentionally to create another vampire or if the vampire wanted to heal that human. 2. Then that human must die while the vampire blood is in their body's system (approximately 24 hours since a human was fed with vampire blood). 3. After coming back to "life", they have to feed on human blood to complete the process of becoming a vampire. If you don't feed within another 24 hours, you will simply die (again) for good.

“I don’t damon. You kill everybody and you’re so mean.” 😂 Damon’s mockery of Stefan gets me every time. Their brotherly banter in this episode was amazing.

I love that Igli actually responds to what Blake says in the intro while he's playing with his dog. Because when he replied, I was like, "Wait, what did Blake even say?" I completely tuned out for puppy play-time.
I'm so glad I stumbled across your Vampire Diaries reactions tonight. I was obsessed with this show when it originally aired. It was about as close to a modern re-telling of Dark Shadows as you could get, and I loved it for that. It didn't hurt that Kevin Williamson is a Dark Shadows fan and took inspiration from the series.
It's episode nine of the first of eight seasons. It's too soon to be writing off characters . You can make assumptions and have your faves but a LOT is going to happen.
Alaric is one of the main characters in Urban Legend 2, a big teenager slasher as Scream, he is friend of Kevin Williamson, that's the reason he invites him to participate the show
Caroline deserves a nice guy. After being abused for the first part of the show she needs someone to appreciate who she is and help her see that she doesn't need to be so people pleasing and shallow to get attention. And she's a kid
I will always be team Damon it the bad boys thinking there is one more bad boy I love just as much as Damon but he’s not here yet. I can’t wait for you guys to see the rest of vampire diaries this is my 3 time watching it. I know everyone says it a teen dream but I was not a teen when I watched it when it came out.
Not one of my favorite episodes, I just found it more boring than some of the previous ones. I found the seance stuff to be a little dragging. -Damon and Stefan interactions were really awesome, I loved their banter so much. And when Stefan told Damon that Katherine didn’t deserve their love, that was such a great moment. Damon revealing he wanted to bring Katherine back was awesome. “You’re so mean… you’re so mean…. It’s really hard to imitate you. I have to go to that lesser place.” LOL! -The back and forth between Stefan/Elena was so irritating. Now Elena wants to be with him and Stefan rejects her? For real? -Alaric was really awesome. His whole “jack-ass” file was amazing. Hes a great addition to the show imo. -Matt/Caroline were really cute this episode. I loved the ending scene where Matt admitted that he didn't want to be alone either. They just work so well in this early season. -Damon broke my heart at the end when he said it was real for him and that Katherine never compelled him. Boy loves so hard. And when he said he would leave. UGH.
