Damon didn’t turn her he just fed her his blood. She would still have the choice or not to complete the transition. Personally while he shouldn’t have forced himself on her I’m with Damon here. He should have convinced her in a better way but ultimately you would never allow a loved one to go to their death if you could stop it. “Hey honey, I’m going to jump off the Grand Canyon without any safety equipment”. Not a Friggin chance. I understand it’s important to respect her choices but not in a life or death scenario. On Elijah’s Elixir remedy. Now that would have been a massive leap of faith. How do you suddenly trust a guy you hardly know with an ancient liquid & just a few episodes ago you were desperate to dagger? I get he’s charming & powerful but seriously this is who we are trusting now? Again, not a chance. As for Elena’s confession to Stefan that she never wanted to be a Vampire. It was beautifully done in terms of her future decisions with Stefan. I agree he was perfect with her in respecting her desire to keep her options open as such a young girl. Of course she would have hopes & dreams that could change over time but we are in the here & now. There are no good options in my view but just one that would guarantee her future would go on. While that would mean she would have lost so much she would have still had the chance to “live” on if she wanted to do so. She had seemingly made her peace with dying & she still would have had that choice again but it didn’t have to happen right now.

It’s so funny, how all grown women who have a healthy mind end up seeing his much a superior relationship Stefan and Elena are. It’s based on respect, and love hand in hand. He’s safe, and puts her MENTAL, emotional well-being a priority .

Elena was always my favorite character. The scene in the mountains with Elena and Stefan was so beautiful.

From Damon's pov, you may never forgive me for turning you into a vampire, but I'll never forgive myself for letting you die. I understand that

In my opinion Damon’s sooo wrong for giving Elena his blood. He ignores her choice and essentially taking away her free will and yes she would have the choice of turning but I think the urge is to bid not to change. I don’t see how can be defended with his love for her or fear of losing her. Also I just love that nobody really has plot armor in this show Love and support 💜💜

watching this series again for the 5th time is so facinating. When I first watched it I was all for stelena, as an angsty, bad-boy loving teenager I loved delena and now as an adult I question why I ever liked damon as a love interest. A lot of delena shippers hate stefan for being "boring" but as a grown woman having a man continuously disrespect and disregard my own autonomy and lifechoices would have made me crazy.

See this pisses me off from Damon/Delena fans...they justify what he did to Elena but the second Klaus does something like that,suddenly he is the worst...

Honestly, I never liked the idea of Stefan with any of the brothers. Just the age difference alone, life experience, and goals. Her pointing out that she was still only 17 and full of life options really cements how inappropriate the relationship between these vampires and humans really is. And while yes, while Stefan is certainly gentler towards Elena, and respects her choices more, let's not forget the elephant in the room that he is a re-covering blood addict that used to be even worse than Damon.

The thing is all the speculation of whether what he did being right or wrong is Bull shit because none of us would take a risk with someone we truly love dying the difference is he took her choice away but the alternative is literal death…

I also wouldn’t trust that elixir tbh. The effects of the elixir was so unclear too. Damon thought of the surefire way to bring her back, which was the cure. Damon was desperate to find out a solution, and he gives Elena her blood to save her. It was an impulsive decision on Damon’s part, but I understand why he did it. He wanted to save the girl he loves at all costs, even if Elena didn’t want the vampire blood. It’s wrong of damon to do that, but I get why he did it. I also get why he wouldn’t fully be in Elijah’s side either. Elijah can still be unpredictable sometimes. And they did kill him twice now. Not only that, Elena was okay with dying if the elixir didn’t work which is so baffling to me. She is so cavalier about her life that it’s sad. It kind of feels like she is taking the easy way out with the elixir even when she knows it’s not a guarantee it will be successful.

Elena’s top of the mountain confession,sounded like she wanted to live..(and not with Stefan) that shows me Damon knows Elena..this is a 17 year old girl choosing to die in what world is that ok…I think Stefan is a self righteous lieing hypocrite…in the beginning he stalked Elena for months,then he lied to her for months(Damon bad I’m good)Stefan Abused Elena threw her up against the wall..

Damon took action of a situation where he knew she would for sure comeback and not wanting to take the chance of trusting a original with the elixir. where Stefan yes does trust Elena and respects her decisions but he was okay with gambling with her life. I'm on Damon's side of things.

This girl on the left tries ever so hard to justify everything Damon does lol. And then says just because Stefan is measured now, he can;t do it later. But Damon has did it now, and you defend that but put a blame on Stefan? Your one dimensional hypocrisy is showing.
