Kat went to Damon for a number of reasons but the main one was because of Stefan. She would have destroyed any opportunity she may have had with him if she'd allowed Damon to die. As for the kiss Elena knew he loved her & thought he was drawing his last breath. She gave him a goodbye kiss/peck. Not as a lover but as a friend. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Though I do agree she does have feelings for Damon but in that moment it wasn't anything more than a compassionate goodbye to a dying friend.

nah I wouldn't say it was, I'd say is because she owed him for the vervain and she actually does care about him because you can tell from her reaction when Damon told her that it was a werewolf bite

Damon 100% has moved on from Katherine she really hurt him. He cant control the memories that survice and although theres nothing that could make him take her back she will always have a big part in his life. I mean he waited on her for 145 years just to have his heart ripped out. After episode 1 of season 2 he was officially done and moved on. He lost all respect for her and he was already moving on before that but once he seen her he tryed to give her a chance to explain and instead she manipulated him into spiraling out of control. She lost all that control over him though after she did that.

@@soulcloning1914 I mean yes but this isn't a normal love triangle. Stefan & Damon both immediately were drawn to Elena because of her being Katherines twin. I think that's why Stefan is more understanding of Damon's feelings towards her, he doesn't like it but he understands it. Also Damon knows he's in the wrong for wanting to be with Elena he's feeling so much guilt through out this season alone and he trys to confess and move on from wanting her but obviously things don't work out that way. Also Elena helping the brothers heal their trauma and mend their relationship is incredible writing imo. If Damon came to town and Stefan was dating someone that wasn't an identical twin to their ex there wouldn't be a love triangle because Damon wouldn't have fallen for them. I think that's why I don't hate this love triangle both brothers are already half way in love with her the moment they see her and they both know that. Also they both are good for Elena in different ways I think Stefan is the person to help her heal from her parent death and Damon makes her enjoy life he makes her have fun even when they are in the middle of terrible situations.

I love how elena gave damon one last kiss before he was about to die. Damon has been strung along with Katherine for 145 years and has been deprived of love for so long. Damon’s last moments with that kiss was so sweet. It shows how compassionate Elena is, and I love how she assured him that she liked him just the way he is. Elena gave him peace, the same way Damon gave rose peace.

Just to add some context, in the scene where Bonnie is getting in contact with the spirits to bring Jeremy back she specifically calls on Emily because Emily similar to Bonnie had feelings for Jeremy’s ancestor John Gilbert so only she would understand and why she helped bring him back.

I sometimes read Katherine’s actions, in a very intentional way. Do I think she loves Damon yes, but she loves him because Stefan loves him. She always said “you loved me too much Damon” and I think she cares deeply about him but the love she has for him, is because of who he is in relation to Stefan.

I don't quite understand what you mean by she loves Damon because Stefan loves him. She was sleeping with Damon behind Stefans back in the past she did love Damon for him I dont think Stefan would have anything to do with the love she has for Damom. She's definitely alot more in love with Stefan but she wanted it all and because of that she ended up losing it all. She still loves Damon in the present day but she's in love with Stefan and wants to be with him. But she could've had that in 1865 but she wanted to be with Stefan and Damon at the same time. Damon obviously gave her a different type of love because she kept going back to him even when she could have just been with Stefan. It sounds more like she was more in love with Stefan but Damon was better in bed or something and she thought she could have it all.

What a precious cat just chilling🥰🥰 I always had a problem with how cheerful Caroline was after her best friend lost last family member… Makes me feel like she really doesn’t understand Elena’s pain. Like for example: when Jeremy got shot - she didn’t even realised that her mom was human and ring wouldn’t work… She didn’t cared.

Caroline did care, she was literally trying to save Jeremy’s life. It’s a life or death situation and sometimes people don’t think clearly. But Caroline’s first reaction was to bite herself and give Jeremy vampire blood to try and save him. It sadly didn’t work so then Bonnie steps in and does magic.

TELL ME WHY I LITERALLY GASPED SO LOUD WHEN LIZ SHOT JEREMY LOLLL. AS IF I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHOW BEFORE. I GENUINELY FORGOT THAT HAPPENED UNTIL IT HAPPENED OMG. I think it's one of the most shocking moments in the show because we're so used to supernatural stuff that an accidental police shooting is too real...

the reason people prefer Delena more then Stelena is because Stelena is the typical relationship you see everyday and everywhere you go & watching Delena is basically tuning into your parasocial behaviour (practically living through them)

8:55 Yes, but also as a trained cop, Liz should have known better than to shoot with innocent civilians around. Even if Damon had not moved away - bullets do go through bodies or ricochet and hit other targets. 🤷‍♀️
