Becoming a vampire is the best thing that every happened to Elena. When she human, she was pathetic, weak, fragile. when she became a vampire, she was badass. y’all are the pathetic ones. I don’t mind stelena. But y’all are judging harshly-

@@reko2574 all the biases aside, how are you judging her to be weak, pathetic and fragile? I m curious...that girl legit stabbed herself to put down an original, died saving her loved ones, TWICE, put her life at stake for stefan in s3, several times...and then there is her iconic dialogue where she reminds stefan and damon that they always protect her, and that's why they shouldn't be surprised if she makes sacrifices or tough choices to protect them. She was brave, loving and selfless as far as I see.

I get your point, yet elena clearly says that she isn't gonna survive this...that's the line which doesn't relate with her feelings for damon, it clearly relates with vampirism. I believe Elena's compassion is a gift, same as stefan's empathy/pure heart...but when they are subjected to darkness, violence and immoral enviroment, they are the worst affected. It's tough for them to COPE with the pain they cause for survival, and the guilt that accompanies it. That's why stefan has suicidal tendencies. And that is why it's so hard for elena initially. Both try and get better later. I know it's different and more tough for stefan though. I think that the sire bond let elena believe in damon. She would never realise what she actually wants, cuz the sire bond gave her an ILLUSION OF FREE WILL.

@@subashchandralenka2048 Elena was actually having the worst transition out of everyone. She needed to hunt live humans, not kill them, and cover her tracks. What took others years to learn, she had to master within days. Either that, or death. There was no midway option for her. Damon seemed to be the only one who could help. She was doing better than every vampire known, yet , people always were judging and bashing her for getting more involved with Damon than socially acceptable. Getting sired wasn't her fault. It wasn't anybody's fault. It just happened. Elena didn't have an iota of physical stability, and when she finally found it, she wasn't allowed mental peace. When she managed her second successful feed, alone, she was happy, but then Bonnie had to ruin it for her, by saying she was out of control, though she was not. Elena was already feeling bad about having to hurt others, she was hurting people as less as possible. Restraint is not easy for a new vampire. Yet, all people did was chastise her, again and again. How is one supposed to survive that? Nobody reprimanded Caroline though she lost it many a times during her initial days. People called her the epitome of control. Elena didn't kill a single person, despite being unable to drink from a bloodbag, yet people treated her like scum, though never saying it on the face. Why this difference in attitude? Caroline trained with Stefan, the good boy, so her mistakes were forgiven. Elena trained with bad boy Damon, so she was thrashed even when she didn't make mistakes. Merely learning from him made her a subject of disapproval. Now imagine being Elena, with heightened feelings for Damon. The poor girl was probably scared to death about everybody disowning her! Elena was worried about 'not surviving vampirism' because no one except Damon believed she could. It wasn't just Stefan who was treating her like a broken toy. It was everyone, except Damon. Her concerns vanished the moment she could drink from a bloodbag. She didn't need to hurt people anymore. I haven't seen her complaining about her fate ever since, though she is clear that she doesn't prefer it over a human life. Neither has she fidgeted about any of her other important choices. Medicine, Damon, period. The experience with vampirism finally gave Elena what she had lacked in life: clarity.

@@steelhart4420 Stefan couldn't even teach himself, forget teaching Elena. Elena wasn't bad at being a vampire at all. In fact the number of murders committed by her were the least among those turned, even lesser than Caroline, who was btw, coached by Stefan. She didn't want to remain a vampire however, and that's okay.

@Maria Eduarda Carvalho Dos Santos when you say that stefan doesn't love vampire elena, how can you explain this: 1. his love for her in s5 and s4...where she was clearly a vampire. 2. In 4×23 he literally said that elena is his soulmate, he can go back to her in a heartbeat. That one line with damon saying that he loves her either way is true, but I believe damon fails to understand stefan's feelings. Now, Here's the thing, both elena and stefan realised that elena was changing. On the day of her breakup, Elena said that she would do anything to get that girl back. All stefan wanted, was to give her the choice of having that girl back. It was never about stefan's insecurity with elena, it was elena's insecurity with herself..so when she accepted herself mid s4, stefan did too!

The problem is not Stefan wanting the cure it is the way he went about it working with Klaus behind Elenas back and giving Jeremy little to no commentary, dialogue, or monologue but to become a hunter without asking Elena if she would be okay with it first.

What you don't want to be, doesn't change who you are at your core. At some point of time, you will have to accept and learn from your darkness, instead of trying to hide it. At some point of time, you have to get out of the shell of 'who you are supposed to be', and become 'who you are destined to be'. At some point of time, you have to stop pretending. Imo, each character in TVD represents something. "Embrace who you are, even if you are not perfect in the eyes of society." That is the point of Elena's whole character.

@@amritarupalaha8097 see i think here's the deal- While damon helped elena explore the darkness of vampirism, stefan would always ask and inspire her to hold on to her humanity. While damon clearly said that vampires eat people, he couldn't understand elena's guilt over the same thing cuz he couldn't relate to it. Stefan did. Elena's compassion was her conflict, but it was a very important part of herself. She couldn't let go of that to break the shell. That would make elena, katherine 2.0 She had to hold on to it, while she accepted her darker parts. That's what stefan told her here...he first said that it would get easier with time, and then asked her to hold on to her humanity. When you say that she had to break the shell, all I see is, defan, simultaneously helping with elena's transition.

There were many people who loved her, and were willing to sacrifice everything for her. She chose to stab every single one of them in the back. Elijah, Trevor, Stefan, Damon, Emily, Pearl, Mason, Nadia... everyone. Elena would never sink so low. Vampires eat people, they are predators, and humans are prey. It is what it is, like it or not. Those who try to deny the truth instead of embracing it, end up like Stefan. Out of control, and then guilty. Fortunately, Elena didn't go down the same drain.

@@amritarupalaha8097 it's not about katherine, her character traits include lying, selfish and manipulative(intellectually). People don't become all these things bcoz they become a vampire. It's what she chose to do for her survival. Doesn't let her off the hook though. It's not about rejecting human blood as well, it's about accepting and coping with the guilt that comes with hurting humans for that blood. Stefan cannot cope with the guilt that comes with his faulty genes, making him a full blown addict. Vampires are predators, they hurt and manipulate people for a survival. Damon's lack of empathy allows him to deal with the guilt easily. Cuz he doesn't feel any. I m okay with it, unless he kills someone. Elena's compassion makes her feel their pain when she sucks their blood out..she feels bad for hurting them, even if it's for her own survival. For caroline empathy play its role. She doesn't drink from the veins bcuz she has been used as a bloodbag before. She knows how it feels to be an object, just an ordinary prey. She can't accept the idea of abusing a living breathing human being. Eat scatch erase is an ingenious plan..it does the least damage, but the guilt of abusing a human, using them as a blood bag, still stays. Elena needed time to LEARN to deal with it. It's what stefan wanted her to understand, thta's why he started with hurting animals. A little bit more practice, her coping would have become better and at some point damon would have helped her with humans as well. Humanity and vampirism are two sides of the same coin. You need to latch on to your humanity. If a human is nothing but a bloodbag to you, and you don't feel a drop of guilt for manipulating them, then you are losing your humanity(ain't talking about you, i mean, in general) Stefan didn't have a choice. Snatch eat erase is a 100× more difficult for a ripper than a normal vampire. So he prefers staying far away from that. Smart choice.

fah Sirebond is only activated when told to do something...NO ONE told Elena to "feel good" that was genuinely how she felt at this point neither knew about the sirebond....You can clearly see how big Elena's smile was and how free she felt with Damon she only switched up because Bonnie came in looking at her as if she was a different person. Hazel Amarie Damon told Elena to feed on a human being, dumbass, that means he wants her to be happy to feed on a human being and sire-bond isn’t like compulsion, Elena doesn’t needs orders, she’s emotionally enslaved to Damon, she does what she feels is right to please him and Damon thinks is right to act like a bloodsucker. It doesn’t matter who knows about the sire-bond, THE SIRE-BOND IS ACTIVATED. Elena felt good because of her master. What Elena genuinely felt was: she was disgusted at Damon and at herself. She doesn’t wanna be a monster like Damon is. I can clearly see Elena’s fake smile because of the sire-bond for feeding on a human being. She already said she didn’t want to hurt anyone and she did. She isn’t happy for hurting him even if she thinks he deserves or whatever, because that’s not who Elena is and i don’t expect you to understand her character. Bonnie looked at her like she was a different person because she was. Feeding on a human being and being proud when she used to be one and acting like she’s on crack. Elena even said it. Stefan has a ripper gene and he fights to not be one, meanwhile Damon doesn’t fight anything. He is proud of killing everyone he did and Stefan isn’t. Damon told Elena she can’t drink blood bags, so he ruined her life with his sire-bond and doesn’t matter what Damon knows, Damon should’ve listened to Stefan, Damon should’ve listened to Elena when she said she doesn’t wants to be a vampire and he shouldn’t open his mouth about his unasked opinions, it’s not even opinions, he gave a order, about what she has to drink. Damon shouldn’t even be in Mystic Falls. Damon isn’t a “normal” vampire like you said, CAROLINE IS. Caroline is the right person to help Elena in how to find a blood she can drink without vomiting because of Damon’s fault. Damon isn’t the right person to teach Stefan about self-control, neither to teach Elena. Plus, Elena shouldn’t even be a vampire in first place, so Damon should’ve been looking for a cure, but nooo, having Katherine 2.0 in his side is more important and clearly to you too. Elena doesn’t wants to be a vampire. Elena doesn’t wants to feed on a human being. And that’s what 4x04 is about. Sired!Elena pleasing Damon acting like a monster like Damon is, then Real!Elena crying about how she is changing and she wants to be a healthy normal person with her best friend Bonnie and her brother Jeremy. And she rather die than be who has desire for her family and friend’s blood. And that’s what makes her a character 100000000000x better than Damon and Katherine. At least used to.

This why I roll my eyes when people try to tell me how much Damon helped Elena in S4. This man was literally the cause of most of her problems throughout the season and only cared to help when it personally affected him. Other than that, he was fine with her spiraling because that meant her getting closer to him. It was so gross.

thats where youre wrong. stefan doesnt change ot try to change elena and elena doesnt try to change him, elena and damon try to change each other. elena tries to make him more like stefan, thats why damon always says "im not stefan" and damon tries to make elena like him.
