One of my favourite episodes. Bonnie and Damon have such great back and forths, love their developing dynamic. I love how loyal Enzo is to Damon, the dinner scene is so good, Enzo just eats up every scene he's in. Heartbreaks for Caroline in that scene with Stefan. They do a great job with the loss of memories, its really impactful. Candice is honestly fantastic in this episode. You should start drawing again for sure! If you enjoy it that's all that matters.

Enzo is such a good friend to Damon and I love that he was trying to find information about possible witches that could help

I completely get how Elena feels and her coping badly as well as then compelling the memories bc we’ve already seen her grieve normally with everyone shes lost. Damon was always there for her and she was obviously suffering a lot, she wasn’t just going to move on from their connection or just mourn and go about her life. I love delena and it hurt to watch but I get it.

enzo really was basically a brother to damon, the way he's so loyal and looking out for him refusing to give up even after legit spending decades and then the afterlife pissed at him lol. these episodes of caroline always break my heart... in a lot of ways she's like bonnie- always being strong for people so they're always rushing to get their own emotions/pain together quicker so that they can be better prepared to help others. its why the stefan situation hurt for caroline so much, because you really see in s5 how stefan and caroline had this mutal healthy understanding and care, and such easy communication like the way they sought each other out for advice, or to vent, but also to just joke around ugh! and to lose that when you really need it, because the person tells you they needed to erase their past including you... oof. i get where stefan was coming from... in his own way he was doing what elena did. it just sucks for caroline. i'm not even a steroline shipper but their friendship is so so great and i think one of the healthiest represented dynamics on the show.

That necklace from mistress Rebeka to Stefan you can Elena representing something for Stelena but it has actually become an important symbol for Delena.

Such a great episode. So many strong episodes coming this season. Genuinely love the moment the writers chose for when Elena fell in love with Damon because it’s honestly really unexpected. It wasn’t a really dramatic or momentous thing when we originally saw it. The moment she fell in love with him end up being a really “small” moment and it’s pretty subtle and then definitely makes you think back and see Season 3 a bit differently knowing Elena was in love with Damon that whole time. But yeah for a show that’s normally firing on all cylinders when it comes to the dramatics I was pleasantly surprised to see that moment be it. It seemed really grounded

not people actually mad at stefan for leaving his brother died .. who says he has to stay around ? he moved away to start over for HIM because after damon died he felt like he didn’t have anybody left of course caroline wouldn’t get it because damon wasn’t her family damon dies & elena gets herbs . she gets to feed on innocents & she gets to erase memories so why can’t stefan grieve his own way ? and enzo caring for caroline was sweet …. but his way for handling it was terrible lol

I agree that Stefan had every right to move on and try to put everything behind him. The problem I have is that, the whole time he was doing that, he was lying to his friends back home and leading them all to believe he was still looking for a way to bring Damon and Bonnie back. If he had just told them that he didn't think there was anything for him to find and that he was giving up and moving on, then I would have no problem with his actions at all.

Enzo was great when he saw Caroline cry for Stefan and went to Stefan to scold him and I loved what he said to Stefan "every time you build a new life of lies I will be there to make you pay, I like it because I spurred her on. towards a hope of getting Damon back.

It was this episode that won me over on the damon and elena relationship. I don't normally care about ships but this won me over because you don't realise the significance of damons gift at the time

The fact that Ric probably hated erasing Elena’s memories but never once did he tell what she should or shouldn’t do is so respectable

I loved what Alaric told him so much to Elena he was the only character to understand and put Elena in a position to admit that she loved Damon since she was with Stefan and that although it is not common she has had the opportunity to have two important loves at her young age, it didn't make her feel wrong about it and she wasn't judged and she was able to talk to someone for the first time about her feelings, open up and explain why her confusions between the two brothers even if unconsciously and unwittingly ended up hurting one of them in especially Damon for Stefan's respect, in this moment Elena has taken off a burden that she has always felt guilty about.

This is one of my favorite if not my favorite episode of the show. I love the Bonnie/Damon afterlife plot line and I love the person who is with them that isn’t revealed in this episode. Other than season 6, season 3 is my favorite so I’ve been waiting for you to get here for a long while

And THIS is why I don’t ship steroline he treats her badly for a while this season and I was just never able to get past it tbh i know he’s going through a lot but still

i never understood stefan’s reasoning for trying to create a new life and cutting ties with everyone. like why ditch the people that care about you to live a fake life pretending your not a vampire? even though enzo was harsh asf, i feel like stefan needed that reality check

Love the Bamon scenes! They are the best. Breaks my heart to see Caroline like this, still I can understand Stefan. He suffered the most loss when both of the closest people in his life are gone for good. I mean everyone is trying to deal with the losses in their own ways. Btw I love how Enzo sees Caroline in tears and just had to confront Stefan. But I feel bad for Ivy as well. Ugh this episode is all kinds of mixed emotions.

This is one of my favorite episodes. Tearjerker for elena, caroline and jeremy's storyline. And the score was immaculate. ❤️

I don’t care how miserable someone is your memories with a loved one is way too important to erase. Seeing the pain on Rics face doing that to his best friends girl is heartbreaking. And then another example of why I love Enzo! He sees a girl crying over Stefan he defends her and how Stefan is trying to move on he defends Damon. I do agree tho that Stefan is just trying to live his life but the thing that gets me is it’s only been 4 months and they are supernatural… I feel like he could’ve tried for longer but 🤷‍♀️

Poor Caroline I felt so sorry for her in this episode alone trying to hold and keep everyone together and get through it all, I understand Stefan's pain and wanting to retire for a while but towards Caroline to act like this I found it too hard ...

I have to say i disagree with a lot of people when it comes to Stefan in this episode. I completely understand why Stefan wants to move on. The fact that none of them let him is what gets me so mad and they act like he is a bad brother for it.. Thats not fair at all. I personally feel that Damon would want him AND Elena to move on. I think he would not be ok with the way Enzo is treating Stefan at all. People grieve in different ways and i feel like they should let him grieve and move on in his own way without trying to make him feel bad for it. It is HIS brother who died! Caroline pretty much hates Damon. Enzo hated Damon too until the end of last season. At least Stefan is trying to move on in a positive way compared to Elena. I feel like Caroline is more angry at him for leaving her than anything else and kinda feel like that is a little selfish. Specially when she knows how bad he has had it lately. I dont think he was being mean to her either. Not on purpose. I think they should have let Stefan be and then if they found something concrete then they could have told him about it. Not just barge in to his new life and ruin it because he was not acting the way they wanted him to act. I get that this show it about vampires and magic etc but i feel like its still good to have human and realistic moments like this. Not just people obsessing over someone who died. Thats why we have humans in the show right?

God my steroline heart broke this episode 🥺 can't really blame anyone in this situation though. Everyone is copeing with loss in their own way. Though in this season i hated enzo the most. He is just as useless as matt this season ...

I agree with Elena about Damon even though he is sometimes an egoist so he is also a great altruist he has closed several times the love he had for her to push her towards his brother and many times he has given them opportunities to recover and solve their problems. .. this is Damon little details that make this character just gorgeous.

Interesting thing Lexi Stefan's best friend never got along with Damon despite Stefan, Lexi tried to help Damon when she had humanity turned off but couldn't now Enzo Damon's best friend doesn't get along for nothing with Stefan but tries for Damon to help Stefan by bringing him to hope for his brother but fails.

The show started in sept 2009 and that’s when the timeline started as well. They put 2 years of high school in 4 seasons so they graduated in may 2011. Since season 5 every season is about 1 year so at the start of season 6 its sept 2012 even tho this was aired in 2014 in real time :)

Honestly I don’t blame Stefan cuz I’d probably do the exact same thing if I were in his shoes. In my eyes I’d rather do that than erase/mess with my memories

I believe all the titles this season are 90s songs. Candice is such a good actress! When she had that convo with Stefan guhhhhh. My heart broke for her. She's so in love with him. They need to get it together! I kinda liked how the show did it because they wanted to make you think that damon and bonnie were gone. SO when they showed at the end of 601 it was a bit of a surprise and then we find out in 602 what happened. I think had they just showed damon/bonnie right away it would have felt like, what was the point of the finale/cliffhanger.

I love that we get a lot of Bamon scenes through them being stuck there together. Their dynamic is so amazing. I prefer this episode to the first one as well, but I think it's good how they did it, with the 'reveal' of them at the end of ep. 1 etc. Elena 'forgetting' about Damon is a thing I wasn't a fan of, I'm ok with it now. I remember my sister being really really mad about that though.

Every time I see this episode and see Caroline crying for Stefan it breaks my heart. I like Steroline but I don't see Stefan with her, I don't see Stefan involved with her, I hate that Caroline has to beg for some love, attention from Stefan, at the moment Caroline is alone doing everything for both of us.
