Great video , Mike, but the original reason why those 3 N Calif counties were called The Emerald Triangle is because they are located at the southern edge of the Northwest rain forest. In terms of Emma's story, those millions of acres dense rain forest make it impossible to find a body if any care at all is given to hiding it. My guess is that poor Emma suffered a temp psychotic break, was picked up by a predator, and was probably raped, murdered and her body was then dumped somewhere deep in The Emerald Triangle. ... A known stalker ex bf doesn’t move to the same city as his obsession by pure coincidence.. he could very well have been the reason that she was acting so skittish.. especially as she’d been through it before.. imagine her thinking she’d got far away from him, only to start seeing him again in her new city. The most logical answer is usually the best answer...the stalker following her to that country has got to be the reasoning for all this. @@MyScreenNameIsTroubledOne I think you're right about the most logical answer is usually the best answer but I think the most logical answer in this instance is indeed some sort mental health issue. Honestly, if it wasn't for the extremely shady guy that said she was his girlfriend after her disappearance, I'd say it was almost certainly a mental health issue that lead to a suicide. But that guy does throw a wretch into the equation. Clearly she was unwell but she could have been unwell *and* murdered. As for the stalker guy, he's a weirdo but being a weirdo doesn't make you a murderer. Though I wouldn't completely discount him. In my opinion in terms of likeliness it's: 1) Suicide. 2) Shady guy did something. 3) Stalker guy did something.

My ex was in South Africa for a year volunteering... So I thought why not try winning her back by going to South Africa too...but when I arrived I had my own volunteering to do... Why are people always so quick to jump to conclusions? I mean yeah, I doubt he showed up in the same town by pure coincidence (although that is still totally possible), but it's still a huge leap to conclude that he was definitely guilty or that he knows more than what he admits. Personally, I think he was probably involved, but without any real evidence supporting this, it's just speculation. Out of all the facts related to this case, the general public probably only knows about 1-5% of the total information that is known about what happened. That simply isn't enough information to draw any conclusions.

Hey guys been working my way through vids and I got to this video, I can give alot of context as I live here Victoria is actually on an island, about the same distance from the "mainland" as England is from France we have a ferry that runs people to and from the mainland Vancouver (just outside of the mainland is the highway of tears, so there wouldn't be anyway it is related) The terrible thing is that there is no way I could see her being alive... You can only leave the island by sea or air and while looking at the population centralized where it is on the map you'd be forgiven for thinking it was heavily populated but it's not colwood is more or less the last stop before wilderness it would be a dangerous drive through very dangerous hills at least for an hour of driving... So you wouldn't go that way without a car... I'd be willing to bet good money the coincidence guy has everything to do with it, if that is his apartment they interviewed him in has a perfect view of red fish blue fish (it's in the inner harbour) if he did do it he would have lots of places you could easily dispose of a body without setting off alarms the undertow near there is terrible you could easily throw a body in the ocean and never see it again We actually have a huge problem with body parts just washing up out of nowhere ... Which is freaky Hope this helps

Every time there's one of these cases with security footage of the person wandering around looking paranoid like they're being followed, it almost always ends up as some kind of mental episode, usually after going off meds. TC has done a couple videos on these, and the most famous is probably the Elisa Lam case. The ex-boyfriend thing isn't as odd as it sounds. There aren't very many big cities in Canada, and they both moved to one. That's like saying it's a huge coincidence that two people in New York state ended up both moving to NYC.

The 200 dollar prepaid card, the burner phone, and the suspicious entering and exiting of the businesses, she was waiting for her dealer. Trust me, I have spent 15 years in the drug scene and recognized that behavior immediatly! I have felt that feeling far too many times! Zero theories?....... This one has so many possibilites... You don't think the ex-boyfriend/stalker... "Pure Coincidence" is highly suspicious? 6:29 You don't think the dude at 6:58 claiming to be her boyfriend, ripping down her missing poster is suspicious? You don't think she could have been on heavy drugs? Possibly met up with someone who was involved in her drugs usage, wether it was supplying, or using them with her... maybe he murdered her? You don't think people could have been after her for knowing something, and caught her? You don't think she had a mental breakdown, and is homeless, lost, or dead somewhere? This case is similar to the one where the girl called 911 when her roommate was home, claiming someone was in the house but it was locked. Then she’s outside in the rain with her dog near a creek, she may have been found in the same creek later. Seems like a mental break. Schizophrenia can appear in the early 20’s out of nowhere. Also, drug use could explain some of this, like not facing mom and weird purchases, going to strange locations and also ending up dead and/or missing :(

Reminds of the strange case of Elisa Lam where a Chinese woman from Vancouver Canada suddenly went to a sleazy hotel in Los Angeles California and died in one the hotels water tanks. Investigators concluded she suffered from a psychotic break - an abnormal condition of the mind that results in difficulties determining what is real and what is not.
@proudmilitarybrat76
@proudmilitarybrat76 5 лет назад
@squid iddly I watched a video about this the other day. It caught my eye because the title said, "FINALLY OFFICIALLY SOLVED - ELISA LAM". It hasn't been solved, obviously, but they definitely made some good points. Elisa had no illegal drugs in her system, but she did have a lot of prescribed ones. Missing in all of those drugs, though, was her bipolar meds. They think she was having an episode of severe paranoia. In her hysteria and unable to get the elevator to work, she decided to take the stairs and ended up on the roof. The owner of the hotel said the tanks aren't always closed. She thought she was being followed, so she climbed in the tank to hide. Later on, someone came by and realized the lid was open, so they closed and locked it. Which you can do without looking into the tank. They assume she had already drowned when they closed it and that's why she didn't scream or ask for help.

@@davidabest7195 Not really. They can indicate if someone is being truthful or not but can't be used in court because it is impossible to prove that lie detectors are 100% accurate. This is in Egypt, so it's not as advanced as Canada. We also don't have those big banners of missing people like the ones Emma had, mostly it's people's efforts on social media to share missing people's faces and so on. I read a case where there was this young man who had some sort of a trauma that made him lose all sense of reality and he left his home and his family. They looked everywhere and never found him. Turns out he became one of the homeless people living in the streets, and had lost his memories so even if he wanted to, he couldn't find or go back home. He also looked a lot different than he was before as ofcourse being homeless and not having access to cleaning or grooming himself made him look different. . Another one where a young man who I believe was autistic...? I am not sure though, but he was really close to his father, but he then passed away. This man from shock and sadness left his home and no one ever saw him again. However one day his family found him on an fb page of a homeless people's shelter. Maybe Emma's case is the same? She dealt with mental illness and was paranoid. Maybe right before she disappeared she had some sort of a trauma? I believe that she was afraid of men in particular. Maybe she was hurt by a man, and she was so traumatized that she ran far far away? Maybe she is homeless somewhere or in a shelter? Canada is big, right, so she could be anywhere. I do hope she is alive and well and not hurt or dead :( I want to stay optimistic with this case.

She could be on the downtown Eastside of Vancouver. I used to live in Victoria and have seen numerous kids I knew disappear into the cracks down there

I have heard of seemingly perfectly normal and healthy individuals going nearly schizophrenic in their early 20s for no apparent reason. I can only imagine if that happened to her that she may have been vulnerable to being taken advantage of out in the unforgiving world.

recondohoe no but it does make them more vulnerable to people with dark motives and raises the possibility of them disassociating and vanishing on their own
