@@tomhenderson2430 Stevie had already died by the time the video was made. Also in the video is Charlie section on drums and Doyle Bramhall Jr on bass...
@@tomhenderson2430 We lost Stevie just before videos were made for this album. In fact, though a single had been released to radio, the Family Style album wasn't released until a month after Stevie's death. The clips of Stevie in the "Tick Tock" video was just old footage of Stevie, along with interview footage shot while they were recording the album. That's Jimmie in the video. What's cool is in the background...Doyle Bramhall II on bass and Charlie Sexton on drums. Stevie used to babysit them when they were little kids, so he was pretty much an uncle to the both of them. I love the song, but why I like to watch this video from time to time. Stevie was a friend. I remember how busy he was at this time, and how they recorded this record in such a short amount of time, due to Stevie's schedule. But he so loved finally making an album with brother Jimmie.
Sensational Jimmie Vaughan..a legend ..that guitar is not not missing a cord..and the song is terrific..got a great beat and rhythem..wow..r you with me?
Llendo a la playa en Santa Cruz - Patagonia Argentina escuchando "Good Texan" del bueno y grosso de Jimmy con el volúmen a full en el móvil. Un espectaculo!
Awesome music, even in 2020. 'Family Style' album by the Vaughan Bros is one of fav's of all times. Jimmy is one lucky man to be that close and inspiration to SRV, even tho it was cut short.
Jimmie Is coming here to Salt Lake with Buddy Guy! Gonna go for my 25th Birthday Celebration ! It'll be my first time seeing Stevie's brother play my second time seeing Buddy Guy. Stevie's my Idol!!!!!!
That’s Stevie playing. Stevie is also on the vocals you can hear him. Stevie was tragically gone before the video was shot. I’ve seen Jimmy play this song live. This is Clearly Stevie playing. Jimmy is good but he Aint SRV.
@@JS-te4gz negative Ghost rider. Listen to the album. Stevie was alive to record the album. He died a month before it’s release. Yea Jimmy is singing in the video. But that’s not what they are using for the sound.
Poor ole stevie only got to enjoy sobriety for 4 years I hate helicopters they took my idol away from me I can only imagine how jimmie misses him everyday RIP stevie
I love this song and remember very well when in came out or in that era of time which was very late 80's or the beginning of the 90"s. Had some of the best times in my life then.
You guys, Jimmie V used to come up to the yogurt shop at my first job. I took smoke breaks, and recall he had some fancy sort of truck he would start up with a remote? This was extremely impressive at the time. He was also incredibly nice and very handsome. I think several of the Fabulous Thunderbirds lived 2-3 doors down from me when I was a little girl on the Bridle Path. Love Jimmie Vaughan ❤️❤️❤️
@Mason Albert Jimmie probably knew Stevie Ray better than any of us (unless anyone here was best friends with Stevie Ray) and I trust that he wouldn't dishonor his name. This just looks like a funny video on an album that they both had a ton of fun making. Stevie Ray even called making this album with his brother therapeutic. They were just some fun loving Texans lol
At producer Nile Rodgers' suggestion and approval by the Vaughan brothers, "Al Berry is the hired LA Session Bass player. Al played bass on the Family Style LP with Stevie Ray Vaughn & Jimmy Vaughan, and he also did overdubs on the posthumous Stevie Ray Vaughan releases."
Was born and raised in TEJAS, Jimmey and Stievie thier like Gods in the state of TEXAS,and what can I say, well I can say this, with alot of Pride "Do me baby like i know you could,SO I CAN DO IT TO YOU BABY LIKE A T E X A N SHOULD satisfaction garuanteed baby
Anyone know the name of the woman who played in the video? This song is my adopted anthem - wasn't born here but got here as fast as I could. Lust LOVE Texas!
