I love my JKE, have this since years. Was one of first things I've installed. 2 long arms for driver and passender side, holds my display from the sPod and my tablet. The magnetic I can not recommend when off roading. But the rest is great 👍
I can actually recommend it now. Go to my newest video where I gave rig updates. The phone did NOT fall off the magnet even under a ton of vibrations and crawling.
I got a Vector Off Road Dock over a year ago, love all the stuff you can do with it. I have a Go-pro, and iPad on mine plus a phone holder for the GF side of the Jeep. Without question one of the best overall investments I have made.
@@BaptismOverland I bit the bullet and went with the 67d. they are pricey but as the saying goes buy once cry once. Keep up the great work really enjoy your videos.
Removed mine today. My wife is too short 5’4 and the bar obstructs her view. If she raises the seat enough to see over it, then she can’t reach the pedals. No issues for me at 5’11. Depending on how tall u are and your seating position, the bar may appear higher than the front edge of the hood while driving. I’m ordering the 67 Design rail that fits inside the dash tray area and can run 3 arms from it. This eliminates the bar across the entire dash. I hated to remove it…looks cool.
We are going the opposite lol. I had the 67D platform but it weakened (they've since improved it) and I upgraded to vector dock. Their new rail systems are great. Less obstruction
I ordered one about 2 months after I bought my Jeep, I have the same phone mount, plus I have an iPad mount, GoPro mount and I just got my RAM mount for the Ham radio faceplate to sit on it too... Really a great system. The one thing I am bummed about is mine doesn't have that nice "vector" emblem... LOL it's the small things right !!! Plus being Canadian that took a little extra to get shipped here. Now I'm just looking at what I can do to replace all my RotoPax equipment that's going to be a challenge !
Good Day.. I have been interested in the vector Dock for my Jeep, but then I read one of your public comments and was led back to the drawing board. You have been an out spoken advocate of the Mollie brand and yet didn’t know of there dash dock .. well neither did I.. anyway after doing my research I finally got the mollie version instead of the vector.. I really believe that if you would of know of this product sooner you may have gone with mollie as well. Anyway love the channel and keep doing what you do..
Oh I knew about it. I just didn't want a molle version because the bar is just a bit more secure for me specially when stuff is being extended out. Thanks for the reply though! I always encourage everyone to get what's right for you.
You're not lying. Lol. BUT in this instance, buy once cry once. I went through sooo many different kinds of mounts in the past but since moving to 67, I haven't looked back.
@@khultherro8613 it's up there for sure. But we aren't just talking quality and looks here. Daily driving maybe not worth it because there's tons of stuff more economical. I needed something that could handle my electronics off road and won't fly around or get banged up and these worked extremely well. Specially to hold the iPad. Last thing I want is to get some cheap solution that doesn't grip and that iPad falls with just a tiny bump. For me that's what I was paying for.
67 Designs makes a nice rail mount for the JLU that mounts in 4 places and is very sturdy. I think the JLU is better in every way from the JK. I kid my friends that with the JLU jeep fixed all the mistakes they made with the JK:)
I have the MPS overhead molle which I LOVE. But on that note I didn't know they made one like this! Also, where does Vector put a ring on your dash? Because it mounts to the riser and the other part is inside the cubby. I'm asking so I know to look out for it
@@BaptismOverland my bad. I don’t like the ring around the center cubby. Makes it hard for my wife to reach into the cubby and also has that center mounting screw there. The bar from MPS is just straight across mounting to the two mounting points next to the windshield. It is solid, cost less, and takes up less space on the dash. I have no movement in my 67 designs mounts and it doesn’t use the cubby mounting point so that stays factory. I spent a lot of time debating the vector off-road and MPS options and am really glad I went with MPS just because it is so low profile and looks almost factory.
@@michaelgee7509 personally I like the ring because I can mount an ipad closer without the need to get a longer arm. But yeah never even knew about MPS one!
You mentioned that the ball is a 20mm size ball but you didn't mention what the size of the tube or the clamp rings are. Is the tube (Mount bar) 1.25 and clamp rings fitted for a 1.25 bar?
@@BaptismOverland thank you so much! Big fan of all your vids... And I'm not even a jeep owner lol I roll an Xterra. Keep up the work. We all rely on the same knowledge you share
That's actually the small. There's nano, mini, small then medium. Medium is pretty long. If you check my channel, the video I posted after this one is all 67D arms and I break down what's what
