Skipping ellen for zhu yuan then pulling for qingyi seems like a good idea since ether team has one slot open and a stunner is needed

Great video! I'm personally skipping ellen for Zhu Yuan and Qingyi but i do like the advice you gave about pulling ellen if youre unsure about sticking with the game for the long-term. Hope to see more!

6:30 actually ZhuYuan doesn’t need a teammate with the same element, it’s same faction or support unit (you can check that in her trial). "When another character in your team is a support or shares the same faction" So any support would work, doesn’t have to be Nicole

Haha The Ellen makes the game too easy reminds me of the early Seele talk in HSR. They are gonna make the 5 star premiums worth pulling for but we have yet to see the rate at which any of them may become out classed in the future. No way to tell for now. So this early its better to just pull on what your going to enjoy more since options are still so limited. I like your advice to pull since its a gacha and doing so to have fun while you can.

I actually didn't want Ellen at first because I also wasn't a fan of the tail. But after playing her in the trial I really liked it, plus I enjoy ice and freezing mechanics in games. i decided to get her and the game has been pretty smooth so far.

Too bad I can’t build my Ellen right now. Complete focus on Cunning Hares until they reach their limits.

I would be cautious on pulling Zhu Yuan, we dont have an Ether stun yet, she might not perform as well as Ellen, yet. A wise option is to wait toward the end of her banner when we have more info on 1.1 and make an informed decision

your slightly off with Zhu Yuan her bonus is not triggered by element, instead any support or same faction character will enable this... so as it stands now (according to the tooltips), no nicole required. But its not live yet... maybe this will be changed

I lost at 60 pulls then won at around 40 pulls. Level 31 right now. Ellen feels really good even as a solo unit. Just need to play her right

don't agree tbh. i have Ellen, but don't like her playstyle. however, the demo missions we played with Zhuyuan, she absolutely shredded everything she came across. you could almost run her solo. she is like billy, if he strapped Nicole's suitcases to his guns. pair that with Nicole (which everyone owns) also doing the same thing, and you have zone-wide black hole destruction that makes the meta Ellen ice team look a bit weak. add whichever third character you want for now, but when another Ether stun/anomaly character comes out then that team is going to be amazing. Ellen will be power-crept by Hoshimi too, who is another upcoming Ice DPS. (also Ice Team uses 2 S-rank and one A-rank, so you need luck to get them at all. whereas everyone already has half of the Ether team).

What if Zhu Yuan is the kind of character that you pull but you'll eventually need to invest on 5* characters for her team? I do want her but I don't want that responsibility because I may not like a future 5* teammate for her... What should I do?

I got soldier 11 and have using Ben and Nicole. Zhu yuan is going to take soldier 11 place but for know the team absolutely slaps.

Skipping both cus im running the physical team so don't need Ellen or the one after have 10,100 prium curtce saved and 5 limited tape as well

Good summary, but I disagree on Ellen being as future-proof as Seele (for the endgame): She takes too much field time which could be spent building Stun or Freeze (Soukaku is much better cryo applier) for the next rotation. Her AoE is also not that big, without Soukaku's pull she won't hit all targets, so they're kinda glued together. Some enemies still dash around out of her AoE part of Skill But she's adorable, has good Crit built in and is easy to grasp => best starter pick for an account! P.S. rerolled an account to get her, both times in 70+ pulls, ehh. Still worth it!

Man, I started like a couple of hours ago and got Ellen in 20 when i was trying to get Anton to pair with Koleda.. I am not mad at all cuz i like her gameplay and looks wise but the downside I have is that I do not own Lycoan which sucks but it aint gonna stop me from using her lol, I am now just gonna save for Zhu Yuan when she comes and hopefully win the 50 50
