"my ultimate dream would be...broadway. but let's do the west end first." whooo boy girl your dream came true big time. watched wicked on broadway last month and she was killin' it as elphaba
Could she produce that eight times a week? I'd say F*&* YES! She made me cry three times and I've seen two live productions of Wicked, and performed in another. Rachel Tucker is stunning.
I love how Rachel's swan song ends, it's just like, "you could have had all this eight times week Andrew! Oh well, maybe Stephen Shwartz knows what real talent sounds like." lol
The best thing that ever happened to Rachel Tucker was not winning "I'd Do Anything". Can you imagine if she was stuck for years in a miserable Andrew Lloyd Webber musical?
I have seen Rachel twice as Elphaba in Wicked (she was unfortunately off the other night I went) and I'm going back in Feb. She was born to play that part so I'm glad she didn't win the part of Nancy! I met her recently and she said "one door closes, another opens"... She is hugely talented and deserves every success - keep wowing those audiences Rache!
she definitely should have won! shes amazing, but look at her now! saw her in Wicked on wednesday, she's the best singer i've ever heard, she deserves a lot of praise
I Miss her so much! A phenomenal performer!!! Samantha was just a little girl just starting to learn how to perform and she couldn't act!!! I felt Rachel's emotions everytime she performed!! She was the REAL DEAL!! GOD I HAVE TO SEE HER IN SOMETHING!!!
In a way it's kind of good she Didn't win , although I wish she did .. She might not of ended up on Broadway , or as elphaba all together and that would have been terrible !
Ive so met her!! 2 Days ago at the stage door for wicked XD she was the last to come out so it was just me and 2 of my friends waiting for her, she waited and talked to us for 5 - 10 minutes, shes so nice!
I'm glad she went when she did because if she hadnt she may never have gotten the opportunity to play Elphaba in Wicked and I saw her in Wicked this time last week and she was F*****G PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!
The two most perfect roles for her Elphaba in Wicked and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Though I'm sure she could pull of just about any leading lady role :D Such a professional and fully equipped with a triple threat talent.
Everyone keeps saying she should have won this, but if she had, she probably wouldn't have ever played Elphaba, and she's amazing at that!! Plus, I love Jodie and she was a great Nancy!!
Right at the end, like the final second, it looked like the final elphaba moment where she kind of punches the air with the broom. It was cool as Rachel's now Elphie.
She shouldnt have won, i agree she may have been one of the most talented but she makes the most AMAZING Elphaba in Wicked which she told us is "her dream role" so all has worked out better for her! Incredible voice and actress!
I have to admit, I wanted Rachel to win this so badly and refused to watch it after she left, but part of me is really glad she didn't now. I mean, if she got Nancy, she might never have got the part of Elphaba in Wicked. Her amazing voice blows me away with the songs there, just like they did during this. She's easily my favourite Elphaba of all time.
8:27: ALW: oh boo hoo, boo hoo ... I wrote such a boodiful song ... boohoo ... 8:34: ALW: no but really, if you touch me, you'll understand what happiness is.
@MCRwriterwickedfreak Exactly what I was thinking! team tuckman have forced me to go back to wicked 2wice this year. Im goin for christmas on the 10th. When louise leaves =[ =[ =[ =[ =[ =[ =[ sob
I reckon the best thing that happened to her was not winning that show cos she is absolutely amazing as Elphaba in Wicked and it's such a better musical!!!!!!
