Very nice hotel, we stayed last year in summer before we bought our new home at Villages. We Love it here, so many friendly nice people and things to keep us busy

Just got back from staying at the Brownwood . Fantastic comfortable beds , Negatives ~ they only give 3 sets of towels .. you need 4 sets bc housekeeping is every other day . I also agree about the shampoo etc , they need pump bottles like the Disney hotels have … ( the Grand Floridian has shampoo pump bottles in the showers ). The Brownwood also should provide shower caps. We ate at Wolfgang Pucks and it sucked totally , we were with a party of 6 , 4 people live in the Villages and are never going back . I just reviewed the dinner from hell on their website. If you are thinking of staying at the hotel , it’s great , the bar area gets their food from the Wolfgang restaurant, l would skip the disaster of the restaurant and staff and eat at the hotel’s bar . The breakfast offered by the hotel is wonderful and the staff was very attentive and professional. Great restaurant.

We stayed there in October for my husbands birthday and those cows on the wall looked at us all night! Super nice hotel, they really outdid themselves...We had a great dinner at Wolfgangs. Great old fashioned in the hotel bar...

I so enjoyed this tour of the Brownwood Hotel. Soon I'll be staying at the Waterfront Inn and wondering how that is. Looking forward to my first experience in the Villages for a visit. Thank you so much for supplying me with a ton of great information. I love your videos. Please keep them coming!

Thanks for going to the trouble to shoot the new beautiful Hotel. I was really curious as to how it looked inside. I was just around the corner staying at Atwood during my lifestyle stay in mid-December. I heard later that they had a nice Christmas brunch that unfortunately I missed out on. I will be there in April, so now I know it's worth seeing. Thanks again for the comprehensive video.

I too am confused, in your Feb 24 video you mentioned the month rental in April and I was looking forward to seeing your experiences with the trip (I'm assuming you would be posting that. ) And I have been checking in on your channel for updates, I guess you went 'rogue' and made a pre trip LOL, good for you. Great shots of the Hotel, and their is No replacement for Mom's meatloaf, I don't even order it out cause I know I'll be disappointed, ha ha. Thank You

Hey Rusty, hubby and I are too down now for our 2nd lifestyle visit and we were put up again in the Atwood Bungalows directly across the street from the hotel you are staying at. My agent Machele Siever is the best, and she saw to it that villa we are staying in is the Newport model which is what we are interested in purchasing. We headed over to Brownwood Square last night, a great band can't recall the name was playing and everyone was having a great time. Since you mentioned in a response to a comment that you are an AF Vet 1st let me thank you for your service. I was a child of a now deceased 25 year career Navy Vet, my husband is a disabled Army Vet, and although I did not serve I spent the last 20 years of my now 43 years working as an R.N. serving Vets as a VA primary care case manager which has been the highlight of my career. Not sure if you are aware, but according to my agent TV has the largest concentration of Vets of any community in the country and likely the reason it has a Vet clinic which we in the VA healthcare system call CBOCs which I work in one of them in R.I. Have a safe trip home and hopefully we dodge the snow storm bullet as last I checked it is heading east.

if you go to Wolfgang's again - try the grouper or the rigatoni -- excellent

We stayed on a lifestyle visit the first week of March. I suggest one of the pizzas at Wolfgang Puck‘s, they were incredible.

Rusty... would love to get together with you (for a beer/cocktail/lunch?) while you're down here. We have been seasonal residents since October of 2019... Sandi and I are here from Wisconsin, will be going back on first Sunday in May... Previously I am from Delaware, where I worked for DuPont for 35 years. Prior to moving to Delaware I grew up in Darby, Delaware County. I used to commute from Darby, thru Springfield, south on route 1 and thru Kennett Square into Delaware every weekday for about two years around 1970. The Workman's Airport Shuttle now does pick ups and drop offs at the front door of the Brownwood Hotel. They have changed this from the Brownwood Sales Office and it's a good change.

I stayed at Christmas time. We were on the 7th floor on the pool side like you. The ventilation system made just enough noise to keep waking me up. We also ate at the bar. We had an appetizer and main course. Food was awesome. Waitress was great.

Hi Rusty.....what do you think your income needs to be to live at the villages, if you have everything paid for like home , vehicle, ect. so I guess just expenses..... I am a single female , wondering if I would feel out of place and could afford it alone, thank you .........

Finely crafted video, Rusty. Autel drone? How was the "tech" in the room? Looks like there are charging points in the sides of the night stand? Wolfgang Puck was great -- in the 80s. He's been coasting on that rep for-evah IMO.

The chefs studio just serves breakfast and in my opinion is the best Restraunt in all the villages. I wish they would expand to a lunch and dinner menu ,but they won’t . They r afraid of competition to any of their Restraunt’s as they r so bad . Except for the chefs studio. If they would let in competing ideas to their existing restaurants the bad ones would go away and better would come in making it a destination place . Second place goes to Blue fin . I generally eat at home or drive to Gainesville Claremont Orlando for better Restraunt’s.

Hey Rusty, I'm going to be in central FL 3/28-4/3 & plan to stay at a hotel in the Villages to try it out for a couple days. I'm single & would like to connect with a few single Villages residents. I'm wondering if you connected with any single residents or a single group when you visited for both your Lifestyle visits. I've yet to find a meatloaf I like other than my own mom's.

I took a 4 day Lifestyle visit a year ago but felt it was too short to get a real feel for TV lifestyle. Do you think a one month visit is sufficient to decide whether I might want to move there? Thanks Rusty Larry

Meatloaf and potato salad... only ever liked if it tastes like Mom's!

Off topic, what type of drone do you use?

If you're staying at the hotel, then rent a golf cart at Brownwood for $25. a day and crooze all over The Villages.

Where did you stay on your first visit ?

I go to the villege to work once or twice a month. I always stay in the Hampton Inn, close to Lake Sumter Landing and Spanish Springs Town Square, but I decide to try this hotel. It is the worst hotel that I have spent a night in. Its to far South, very expensive and I do not receive anything in return. I asked to lower the temperature of the room and they told me that it could not be below 68 degrees. I will go back to the Hampton Inn. 👎

Great hotel. Skip Smith didn’t like Wolfgang Pucks restaurant at all. The onion rings look good, but that meatloaf looks like it was baked then grilled, well, over grilled. It’s just a chain with WP’s name on it and mediocre food. Sorry.
