Have been watching a lot of videos on The villages but none of them took us through the lifestyle check in etc. The attention to every detail by the TV Staff to give you all the essential supplies, equipment etc. is to be admired! The sales agents are amazing! Ours led us from the office to the villa and even rode with me to the square via golf cart to help me get familiar with the area.

I love you guys! You helped us when you were RVing but lost you for a while. We quit RVing and moved to the Villages from St. Louis, MO in 2021. We found a home in the North end of The Villages. This is a 21 year old house, and we love it. You gave us a spreadsheet on all of your expenses when we were in the Class A. We created one for our house in The Villages because we constantly have friends looking to move here and wanted to weigh out all the cost. Thank you for your videos!

We been following since you got your motorhome. We were 2 1/2 years full timing in a motorhome also. We bought in the village of Richmond accross from Brownwood square last November. We like it here and are planning to to rv the northeast and the maritines next summer. We still use the motorhome every once in a while. Enjoy your visit.

Just came back from our “own” self made lifestyle visit. We did do the trolley tour, sales people were great. Really everyone in The Villages was great. Me so many nice people. Coming back for two months next year. We had a wonderful time. We stayed the whole month of October. I don’t know how people decide in a week! We need a little more time. Good Luck🍀

After living in a motorhome, the patio villa would seem like a castle. We did a lifestyle visit back in March, we stayed at the Alden bungalows near Brownwood square. We played golf 2x and pickleball a few times, attended a complimentary concert and a Polo match. I would move there tomorrow, but my wife needs to stay amongst her familiar environs. We ate out every evening and enjoyed the music at Brownwood Paddock square. I followed your RV channel and looking forward to you Villages adventures

I had a lifestyle visit in September, also in Harper villa, in a 2 bed / 2 bath haven model, 987 Sq ft. Similar generally to yours. I was the first person to use the home. No screened in porch, limited the patio use late afternoon and evenings ( unless you like insects). Room for 2 adults, but very little storage if you lived their for months. Gas golf cart very noisy. A 2 minute cart ride to Franklin rec center & less than 10 minutes to saw grass. Brownwood & Spanish springs squares way too far to go in a golf cart, especially after dark. My rental car was used often. Village residents super friendly & welcoming. Plenty of open activities and music in the squares. Hope to go back for a month rental in the winter, to see & do more.
Wow! We might have been neighbors for the week and did not even know it. I think we were the first to use or LSV home too. Yes the golf carts were very loud. We took ours up to Brownwood and Sawgrass but drove our car to Spanish Springs. We had a great experience on our visit. Glad to hear you did too! This video reminded me of my first Lifestyle visit back in 2011. Wasn't ready to retire then, but I knew this was where I was going to live when I did. I loved the smile on your face in the beginning of the video because you looked so happy, in anticipation of what your were about to experience and it reminded me of how excited and happy I was at that time I moved here in August 2016 and never looked back. I moved here 3 years ago and built my house in Chitty Chatty. I’d look at the other types of houses. Storage is always an issue here. If I had to buy again I think I would have gone with one from the Veranda series. I didn’t have a dog when I moved here and have since adopted one. I don’t have a fence and can’t add one to a designer home. The patio villas are bought by investors frequently so you may never have true neighbors. Just food for thought.
They don’t actually deliver mail by USPS directly to our homes in The Villages. Everyone has a their own locked mailbox located at various mail station kiosks throughout TV. We have not checked ours in a few days but will go check tomorrow. Thanks!

The newer area I hear the houses are cheaper, but the bond and taxes are very high compared to other homes and they need to move these houses. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos. Awesome! Glad to hear still you love it after almost 2 years. We are so excited to close out the RV chapter and begin this next chapter life at TV. One of the big decisions we need to research and help on is what type of Golf Cart to buy. Gas or electric? 2 seater vs 4 seater?
We bought a Star Sirius 2+2 lithium. That's a 4 seater and after 2 years we love it. They say 80 mile range and we have never run out of juice. Both the 2 seater and the 4 seater have different pros and cons. We probably would have gone with a 2 seater because the times we needed the additional 2 seats were minimal

We watched Peter's videos as well. Love his explorations. Do they do lifestyle visits in any of the larger homes? Are there many under 60 there? And, how did you charge your Tesla while staying there. Have fun!
Peter is awesome! Love how he can go in to any community in the world and share such unique experiences. Yes they have (in the past) done Lifestyle visits in larger homes. Not sure what there plans are going forward. These Patio Villas are new (think we were the first to stay in for our LSV). We will ask our sale agent and let everyone know what we find out in a future video. Yes there are lots of clubs for Villagers under 60. There are even clubs for those of us born in the 70s. Just plugged the Tesla in to the regular wall outlet every night and it was at 80% range the next morning. Great questions. Will make sure to cover all of these in future videos. Thanks!
@@MichaelTiffanyTVE Thanks! My husband is not sold on the idea of the Villages. We usuallly go to Hilton Head BUT I love all the things to do in the VIllages and the community. We are 1968 and 1969 Gen Xers. We both are avid golfers. No kids excepts ones with 4legs:-)
We love our designer home, a Jasmine @ Villages of St Johns. It is perfect for us since it is a split bedroom plan which is ideal for visiting family & friends with pocket door. We are extremely happy here!! If you need anything or any questions, please reach out to us. We never did a Lifestyle Visit but came here for a quick visit to check it out. Barely six weeks later we bought & moved here our home quickly. .

We're renting a house in St. John's in April. Getting excited! We've visited a friend in Hawkins a few times but haven't seen/done much in TV. Looking forward to exploring there for a month.

Question: How many days notice were you given to tell you where to pick up your packet and where you would be staying for your lifestyle visit. We go on Monday and nothing has been sent to us with directions where to go. Thanks for help.
We paid $99 per night during our stay. The price fluctuates between $99 to $199 per night depending on the season. Summer is the least busy and cheapest time to visit and February and March are the most busy and expensive time to visit.
What does the entire outside perimeter area look like? Didn't see that area filmed unless I overlooked ot. Saw the screened-in area that leads to the side yard with the concrete slab / yard
Since this is a Lifestyle visit house it is not for sale. We have seen Patio Villa homes in the new sections of TV with prices from $250K to $285K (depending on the model and lot location). The bond for the new Patio Villas is around $20K. Will share more info in future videos as we go through the buying and closing process.
Hindsight… Yes. Wish we would have stayed for the full 7 nights. But with our work and travel schedules that was the only time available for us until later this fall. We will cover this in more detail in an upcoming video in the next couple of weeks. You can see and do a lot in 5 days /4 nights but you will be busy trying to make it to all the Town Squares and other activities. Would definitely recommend staying the full 7 nights if it works for your schedule. Thanks!
Patio villas are the smallest home you can buy. Go up from there. Did you request to stay in the patio villa? They use to do lifestyle visits in a 3 bedroom courtyard villa. Never heard of a 1 bedroom.
No, we did not request the Patio Villa, we just took what they assigned us at check in for our LSV. FYI... They have sold most of the 3 bedroom Alden Bungalow Villas that they used to use for LSV. Our TV agent tried to get us to buy one. There are currently multiple 1 bedroom Patio Villas (811 to 991 sqft) listed as pending right now on The Villages website. Just go to their website and search all homes then use the filter and select 1 bedroom. The lifestyle visit runs between $99 to $199 per night (depending on what time of year) for a minimum of 4 nights and maximum of 7 nights per stay. Great value!
Be careful buying a home this year as home values will crash over the next 24 months. These high prices only made sense in a zero rate environment. Expect at least 30% fall in the next 24 months.
Nope some of these homes are 3x in less than 36 months nothing stable about that. Expect big price drops over the next 24 months as the FED increases rates again on November 1st by 25 basis points. All that phony zero cost money equity is going bye bye. @@njstan8188
