We really enjoy your show you guys are great. We have been to one lifestyle visit and are coming up in a couple months to make a decision on a house, we are also looking at the model you bought. Did you have any concerns about buying a vinyl sided home? And how have you found the craftsmanship inside the house. There are a lot of bad builds these days. Thank you very much

You walked us through the lifestyle villa and I fell in love with that model and the furnishings. It seems a more practical choice to sell your old furniture than the cost to transport to Florida. New beginnings, fresh slate, downsize to practical. I like the neutral colors. Wayfair, Kohls, Home Depot, Costco.....who knew? Thank you for the tour and the price to relocate with a blank slate. Excellent presentation.

Love your home and furnishings. Living in a small home is perfect for two people. No need for more as when we get older we realize what a blessing it is to have less to care for. Can't wait to see storage/laundry closet. I also love how transparent you are with with everything from the purchase price to its contents. Keep the videos coming.

Love your style!! Thanks for the information, I had no idea the patio villas didn't come with window treatments or ceiling fans......good thing to know! Do you use your lani a lot? I'm looking for a home with an enclosed lani, I'd like to have my office in that area and have AC put in. Your home looks beautiful! I'm so hoping we sell my business soon, My husband and I want to do a lifestyle tour and I hope to convince him to move down there.........we had 5" of snow today and I'm sick of winter........We live in Wisconsin. Looks great! Love the blinds as is. I wouldn’t add curtains later on as they’re just dust collectors. Yes, we love Costco online for ordering home furniture items. Can’t wait to see the house in six months!

I love the look!!! I'll be looking at Costco for pieces for our courtyard villa. Most of the furniture is coming from our home in Virginia since we have plenty of extra, but we will need to buy some things. Love the coastal living room club chairs. Great pattern.

You two have so much useful information! I so appreciate how transparent y'all are about everything, including all of this furniture and the prices. Super helpful! I had no idea that the patio villas did not come with ceiling fans. Ceiling fans are a must for me in the south. But that allows people to install upgraded fans that have wall controls. Every time I've had a ceiling fan with a pull chain, I have broken the chain - repeatedly. They just pull out of the top after a while. Now I'm in a place where the ceiling fans are controlled with a wall switch and it's SO much better. What a great team you two are! I love Tiffany's sense of design and color (yes to coastal and beach looks!) and Michael's frugal shopping tips. You two and your journey are a real inspiration!

Thanks for sharing your update. It is always fun to see how people decide to decorate, especially since so many of the homes have similar basic floor plan. I recently saw a video where the owner had repainted and change the flooring and countertops right after moving in. He was very critical of the quality of the builder grade paint and the flooring. Do you have anything thoughts about that?

Greetings from New Zealand. I am thoroughly enjoying watching your life in the Villages and I especially love how everyone drives around in golf carts instead of cars. That is definitely a lifestyle I could get used to. Here in our small rural town, the second vehicle for many families is a tractor, and there are more sales lots for tractors and 4x4s than there are for cars. We are just nearing the end of our summer and I have to admit I am amazed that our summer temperatures are not that far different from your winter temps. Mid-summer here is around 24-27 degs C. (75-80 F). Warmest regards, and thanks for sharing your amazing lifestyle. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

I love your club chairs. I have same potted plant in my NY home. Now, your Hisense TV. I wish you the best of luck but so far we haven't had good luck with that brand. My son's dad's broke after a few years..the picture just went out but had sound. I didn't pay attention and we bought 1 for our Lakeland FL home winter of 2021 I think. A few weeks ago my husband watching TV and the picture just went out. I tried googling to try and reset it and trouble shoot. Gave up. And had to buy a new TV. I want to decorate coastal but I always stay with the Italian Mediterranean decor. Your island chairs match perfectly!! Did you have to install the light kits on your ceiling fans? Or did you have to install the whole unit?

I would put a much larger picture at end of counter on wall… the one you have there is nice but too small I would move the happy sign kiddie corner over pantry and refrig then the other 2 where your happy sign is now Again congratulations!! My husband &I we downsized in our town 3 years ago and live near our Youngest daughter and husband and our 2 granddaughters and love it ! We have 7 grandchildren all together and live close to all of them

Love the furniture esp, the recliners. The large island is great for company and food. So the t.v., one day you might like a 100 in. or even an 82 in. set. We have an 82 in. t.v. I never thought it was necessary, but we feel like we are right there when it comes to watching football games and all sorts of shows. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks!! Glad you are enjoying the videos! May is a great time to visit Florida and TV. Make sure you check out all of The Town Squares during the day and at night. We only stayed 4 nights on our Lifestyle visit but that was enough to know this was the place for us. In hindsight… wish we would have stayed a couple of days longer (just to go for long golf cart rides and explore more). Have fun on your Lifestyle visit! Keep us posted!

Thank you so much! So far, so good. We like the new adjustable bed and all of the features of a split King. Not sure if we love the mattress. We just ordered a memory foam topper to make it a little more comfortable. Will evaluate and share more in a future update video. Thanks!

What scares me the most is the downsizing (we have already gone from 4000 to 2100). I have stuff that I don’t know if I’ll have room for. Not necessarily furniture, I could part with 99% of it. We have always had a basement. My husband has his fair share too. Not having any storage area is scary.

Thankfully we had already downsized from 3,000 sq ft to a 350 sq ft Motorhome for a couple of years before moving to TV. Will do a video on storage tips and ideas in a couple of weeks. Good luck with the downsizing process!

I do gotta ask though - are you planning to put a charger in the house for that Tesla you drive? Wife and I test-drove a Model Y yesterday (they had a place nearby where my kid goes to school where you can do that). And surprise, surprise - I can see one in our future now! Really love your decorating choices as I tend to lean towards teals and blues. I saw the booth that had the nautical wood pictures at the Spanish springs arts and crafts fair. I didn’t catch the name of the artist. Hoping they may be at the Brownwood arts and crafts fair so I can purchase something.

We just closed on our new home in TV on 1/30/2024. Much like you all we decided to start from scratch and we are super happy about that decision. We bought our lanai furniture from Costco and we are extremely pleased with the price and quality. We are down in Dabney not far from you all. I know it's a bit of a drive, but the HomeGoods in Clermont and Wildwood are both full of surprising deals. If you ever want to stop by our place, just let me know.

Fenix & I watch your channel every day. We are planning our lifestyle visit in May. I have a general question...Replacing/Upgrading the ceiling fan on the vaulted ceiling on your new model you bought, looks too high for a normal step ladder. HOW did your place your ceiling fans ? Thanks! Glad you are enjoying our channel. I bought a Little Giant 18’ adjustable ladder from Costco when it was on sale for $160. Very versatile ladder and made installing the ceiling fans a breeze (pun intended). The ceiling fan we got from Home Depot was very easy to install. Will include a direct link to the ladder below. Ceiling fan link is in the description. Yes there are lots of handymen services all throughout TV (some live here) but we have not used any yet. Will share in an update video when we do. Yes, please share storage tips for smaller laundry area, would be helpful for sure! We love our Costco here in Ohio too! Wish there was one in The Villages, maybe soon? Hello Tiffany and Michael! I recently found your channel and enjoy watching your videos. You are both so positive and happy! You are correct about people moving a lot in the villages. We moved from a courtyard villa in Bonita, to a courtyard villa in Charlotte, to a premier home in The Preserve. We currently live near Disney World and moved out of The Villages. Watching your videos makes me realize how much I want to come back. Hopefully someday soon!

QUESTION - We are planning for a 2-night stay in The Villages prior to our Life Style visit and trying to decide between The Waterfront Inn or the Brownwood Hotel and Spa. Thank you! We have visited both but have never stayed at either hotel. Brownwood is a little more upscale with a huge lobby but then Waterfront is right on the lake. Both are very nice but with different vibes. The Waterfront is great so you can explore Lake Sumter Landing Town Square area and are closer to Spanish Springs. Brownwood is a great location to explore Brownwood Town Square, Sawgrass Grove and all of the new developments in the South. Where are you staying for your Lifestyle visit? I am assuming it will either be close to Brownwood or somewhere in the South. If it was us… I would probably recommend the one that is the furthest away from where you are staying for your Lifestyle visit. This way you will have a few days in each area of The Villages to get out and explore and cover more ground during your entire trip. Good luck and Have fun!

We were actually leaning toward Brownwood as that would be closer to where were staying along with the new builds were interested in however we do we very much like your idea of staying the furthest away for 2-nights to experience a different location. You can’t go wrong either way. If you are definitely thinking about buying a new build in the south then staying at Brownwood makes a lot of sense. Have fun no matter where you stay! Keep us posted and let us know how your visit goes.
