What I found interesting about the Rick Ross part is I feel like he turned down Ross bc he didn’t want to feel like he owed him money. However even if you do the bank loan you would also owe them that same amount of money. Also I think the janitor and Ross were supposed to represent opposite side of the spectrum for black folks amongst the working class.
