I'm getting the sense that we don't know the full story of what happened between Maggie and the Reapers. I agree the Reapers are acting strange for seemingly being the aggressors. Makes me think maybe Maggie's group isn't as innocent as we think in all this. Good introduction to the Reapers, excited for more.

I've noticed they've been focusing a lot this season on how there are good people in bad groups & that good/bad is all about perspective. Alden, Lydia, Leah, Negan, Maggie with her secrets now, & the next episode especially gives more examples. It goes really well with the Maggie/Negan story & will probably develop that, I'm guessing.

ANYONE ELSE EXTREMELY CONFUSED HOW THIS MANY PEOPLE WHO SERVED IN IRAQ AND WERE INTERNATIONAL MERCENARIES ENDED UP ALLLL TOGETHER IN THE APOCALYPSE?? I could see maybe a few but that many is questionable. Like did they make plans for the apocalypse to meet in a place if things ever went down like a zombie outbreak orrrr did they just all live together in a compound before the apocalypse which would be even weirder!

It's 2a.m London, England time and when I heard 'she's got a skinny kitty', I laughed so hard, I think I woke up the neighbourhood..! And as for Dog, he's proving not to be man's best friend when there's ladies around...he disappeared for the whole Whisperer War, probably to hang out with Leah (when he's not around, I think he's been with her ) and when he reappeared, he chose Carol over Daryl...! 🤔🧟

Apparenly, I maybe partially wrong, after a rewatch, I noticed Dog was in the Tower during the Whisperer War but I still believe he goes to Leah when he's not around.

The Reapers are a cultist group just as much as any other enemy group we've encountered, depending on your definition of religion. Everyone has to be drunk on something to survive and find reasons to keep living. I don't find it frustrating whenever there's an enemy whose belief in God is their motivation and sole reason to live. Now I'm just curious as to what caused them to take over Merridian in the first place and how that action abides by the moral standard set in place by the Pope's worship of God.

It's more so about not running away or retreating. The sniper guy knew that and decided to take himself out, whereas the guy who died in this episode ran away and didn't accomplish his mission. There is no retreat in the military, only evacuation once you get permission or accomplish the task at hand.
