Jeffry Dean Morgan was the best thing to happen to The Walking Dead he is so clever he finds ways to make you laugh while he beats main characters to death.
Negan is one of the smartest villains out there. Completely outsmarted Rick here and would have won if not for Sasha sacrificing herself and taking him by surprise.
I love when Rick says “No one drops anything.” He knows he and his people are likely screwed, but he doesn’t care anymore. Such a change from Glenn and Abraham’s deaths. Love that.
Because he was the one doing it thicko. Whoever took the role you cant imagine anyone else doing it. If samuel l jackson took the role youd be saying the same. However, some of us can actually see the real world and see other actors portray negan. Its just what we've been given. Hes portrayed as a ruthless bad ass in the comics, jeff doesnt make us believe he is. Theres many that auditioned that could have been more a belivable bad ass......vinney jones for example. Jeff isnt a badass....hes a loveable rogue.

Casting Jeffrey Dean Morgan for Negan's role is the best decision this show ever made, I am straight up mesmerized by this monologue, I am actually in a trance. I'm also extremely stoned. Fantastic performance by the actor.

It's so interesting watching this scene now. Since season 7, almost 8 years has passed in the show. And negan is so different now(and for the better) it's weird being reminded that he was this savage who lead the saviors. Season 9 has made these older scenes so cool to watch with all the time that has passed.

Sasha was such a badass for what she did. She knew that there was no more compromises with Negan and so her becoming a walker was the fuse that lit the fight.
Janet Aldrich it's because he's clean shaven. For some reason clean-shaven Negan freaks me out and intimidates me. But have him grow that beard back and suddenly I'm like, "Look I know you just brutally murdered someone but I'd still like to invite you over to my house for dinner because I think deep down you're a misguided good guy." It's like a vest. Vests generally are seen as weird or creepy but sew some sleeves on that sucker and you're saying, "Wow! That's a nice jacket!" Negan with facial hair=cool leather jacket. Negan without facial hair=creepy creeper vest.

Agree, they were my two of my favourite seasons, ranking first and third in order, third season second in order and first in fourth order, but every season with Negan was killer (no pun intended) Lookin' forward to viewing WD Dead City and the dynamic between Maggie and Negan taking centre stage

it was one of few with Negan, good action and a lot of the main characters together. It gave us more than most others so I think it's one of the better ones :)
Action was indeed beyond garbage, at one point I believe Daryl and some other alexandrian were "taking cover" behind a bus that had absolutely no cover, not to mention that Daryl and a lot of people just pop up out of nowhere in a swarm, what, did all the saviours surrounding Rick and Carl just forget about them?, just a ton of stupid shit, and worse thing of all, the horrible music that didn't fit at all and sounded like they got it from freesound.org or something, the show's quality is really in the shit and it takes a special kind of fanboy to ignore it.
I've watched the entire of the series and still I can't lie I'm torn with Negan. He played the 'yeah but my people got killed too' card later down the line with Maggie and it was the whole redemption arc but personally he did enjoy the power and manipulation at the time which makes it worse. Some stuff you don't just let slide, Rick and his group murdered people granted, but for the most part they didn't for a prolonged period of time enjoy being tyrants.
"Had a better deal" pretty much the best explanation about the whole situations. Hilltop and Kingdom had a deal (not the best, but a deal) with Negan, they broke it because Ricks was better. We don't know what Negan offerd the Scavengers, but it seems his deal was better so they pleaged allegance to him.
"You know the one from a guy who bring a baseball bat to a gun fight? Fucker!" I just want that line in the war against negan, BUT I DONT FUCKING HAVE IT
