Negan puts himself directly in front of people as a intimidation method, he uses body language the same way (wolfs,dogs,and apes) do to let everyone know he is and why he is in charge, the face to face is a gesture of dominant behavior (Negan makes sure he always maintains eye contact, and that they look away first)
Comic Comparisons : Everything That happens in the Sanctuary (Negan’s compound) is almost line for line scene for scene ripped straight from the comics Everything was done so well Carl lighting up Saviors the iron scene Carl unwrapping his face the singing In the end Negan does go to Alexandria but not the way it is in the show. In the comics Negan hands Carl back to Rick unharmed Negan comes back in a few days to collect his offering. The scene with Rosita and Eugene doesn’t happen in the comics.
I felt like the comic handled the shooting scene better. Like I'm pretty sure Megan almost gets shot. Also, Carl is younger in the comic and in less control of the gun.
@@MacGuffinExMachina Yeah, in the comic he uses Abraham's gun and it knocks him on his ass. He's older and already shot an assault rifle in the show so they couldn't really do that. The scene is definitely better in the comic tho. Negan is actually caught off guard by the attack and immediately uses his men as cover. In the show, he's an idiot who walks up whistling slowly going across to a guy on the other side of the truck. Makes him and Carl both look dumb.
My favorite episode of this first half. Also my friend was ONE OF NEGAN’S WIVES. Her name is chloe and she’s been a family friend of many years, she said Jeffery Dean Morgan was very kind, and Chandler Riggs was very funny
Yeah as much as I enjoyed these two seasons and don’t hate it as much as others; the biggest flaw to me with this season and 8 was execution of scenes, Negan can’t die in this episode so Carl won’t shoot him in the opening despite having a clean line of sight! 😅 Spoilers for season 8: How many times did Rick miss Negan at point blank range just because he has to live until they can fight at the finale. To me it was just a case of Gimple not being able to translate All out war to screen as good as he could’ve.

No Negan is so likeable..stop being dramatic lol...Negan killing two ppl was fair game...Rick and company killed like 30 of his. He left them off easy to be honest.
Remember when Rick and his group slit the throats of dozens of Negans people in their sleep? Nobody ever seems to, Rick started this shit. Negan killed 2 people. Brutally yes. But 2. Rick and his crew are responsible for a lot more from Negans point of view. Hes got fucked up ways, and is not a good man. But as a leader hes far more forgiving than Rick would have been. If Negan did that to Rick's group Rick would have killed them all.

Thank you! I will say he becomes more likable after season 8 but his ridiculous plot armor, cartoonish personality and sexual jokes got so old so quick and he was only scary for 2 episodes. Not to mention how inconsistent the writing is with him
