I know this is an old comment but Max being eaten would have been in Episode 1 and was a part of the original story with the Slaughterhouse and Capricorn Farms playing a more major part.

It was actually him getting stuck in a turnstile at the slaughterhouse.

It was cool that they added the model they would have used for Max getting eaten in the Definitive Edition's character viewer.

Yes, they’re different takes. If you notice, the VAs say the same thing. It’s just different deliveries of existing lines, but they technically aren’t in the game and are therefore unused.

In my opinion it's unlikely but there were leftover slaughterhouse textures in the files for ep4. It's definitely possible but unlikely since I can't really see how Javier would end up there after the stuff that went down in Richmond.

They just wasted it all really. I don't think the ranch is the slaughterhouse though, I think just the other cut content stuff they completely wasted it for no reason.
