I think this show is heavily following a religious point which is quite common in Europe, religion plays a huge part in the history so honestly I haven’t been to mad at that aspect. Great 3rd episode

And from a historical perspective it makes perfect sense. Humanity has ALWAYS fallen back on religious dogma and prophecy to explain the ills of the world and hopes for the future. Heck, as we speak millions believe we've in the end times. It's a revolving door.

With Laurent I think people just need hope and a symbol of hope and if you tell people this child was born premature and his mother turned during childbirth and he still survived then anything is possible.

I absolutely loved the walker orchestra! It was one of the funniest scenes so far. I also love the fact that there were Harry Potter references with Isabelle's sister being named Lily and Quinn telling Laurant that he has his mother's eyes! This was one of my favourite episodes so far. Oh and the line, "Boys will be boys!" Your pronunciation of the title was close but toujours is pronounced Too-zhor.

I feel there are deeper things here, I see Laurant and Daryl both as the Messiah, both were born/reborn and survived during a bad situation. Daryl doesn't see his worth in this Apocalyptic world but WE do. I see the resemblance with Isabel and Meryl, they were both scarred drug dealers that turned to God at some point. So Isabel/Merle and Daryl can help each other heal their past. ANYWAY I'm trying to see the deeper meaning to all this. I also think Daryl found Ricks bottle

As far as Quinn goes, everyone has heard of a special kid so he might have put two and two together. The reason he would say he's the father even if he isn't is that Laurent is worth something in the world they live in now. Quinn is an opportunist. He may even be Laurent's father, but I'm not betting on it.

I really expected you guys to react more to the walker orchestra! I thought it was pretty awesome, I'd love to see it made into a collectable statue or a McFarland build set. I particularly liked the walkers with the trumpets shoved down their throats...that was clever!

to me Quinn comes off as a user someone that takes advantage of people using them to get what he can get of them. If he finds out about the stuff going on with the kid he will want to take him for more power more control more prestige. LOVED yalls review as always cant wait til the next.

Another great episode! The hunt for Daryl is getting crazy. I actually really like the Laurent prophecy, he has had premonitions, he can read people's feelings and he even quoted Judith's line she said to Daryl in the s11 finale. Quinn being Laurent's father was a crazy twist, I just don't understand why he tried leaving his mother at the start of the Apocalypse if he knew he was the dad?

Here's a theory. They now know about the Commonwealth. What if they go to America and look for him. Carol sneaks on the ship back and finds Daryl. I definitely think they're CRM related. Black outfits, testing walkers. etc

Love Love Love your reactions! Love re-watching it with you guys. I'm in the UK and you are my watch party while I'm preparing dinner 😊 I have you guys on my tablet and I'm preparing my evening meal. This episode was brilliant and I love that they used the song "People are Strange"...although it's the Doors, it reminded me of the scene in Lost Boys where is was used. Another great episode and the reveal 😮....this series is killing it. This is how you make a spin-off!! X

Great episode, I’d have to go with Quinn with this one. You can say almost anything to get someone to leave, but when it comes to admitting that the child is yours? I feel like that’s not something you could lie about.

Great episode. Excited for the final 3. I liked Dead City, but this show is so much better. I love Negan, but Maggie just ruined it for me. Daryl is killing it. I'm disappointed with the lack of new Rick teasers in the commercial breaks though.

They're trying too hard with the Negan and Maggie thing, the og TWD finished perfectly with their chat (and sort of burying the hatchet) and it should have been left at that... I feel Negan should have been used in this series instead, Carol enlists Negans help to find Daryl and they both turn up in season 2 instead. But I do prefer this series to Dead City but am a huge Negan fan :/ oh well

The dude that plays Quinn is Adam Nagaitis. His name is in the main title sequence. I’ve seen him in a few other things but since you guys really only watch(react to) the walking dead EU and zombie stuff. He was In a great series on AMC called The Terror. We will see him again

I've been having television problems with cable for weeks and so I've been depending on reaction channels to fill me in, on "Daryl Dixon". It looks great and I think it's a curious twist with Laurent being a savior child, though I can't help but think of Eugene's trick. Some reactors think Laurent is sketchy, but I think we'll know more by the end of this first season.

Quinn didn’t know Lily was pregnant. You will known that based on his reaction when Issa told him Laurent was Lily’s. Remember when Issa did not know Lily was pregnant not until they were escaping the outbreak. So Lily told no one about her pregnancy.

I think the show is trying to put the viewer in Daryl's position regarding Laurent. The boy is special, but come on, a messiah? Like Daryl. we doubt Laurent because what we have seen of his "powers" can easily be explained away. Probably when they arrive at the nest, more will be revealed. I do remember them saying that this will be a journey of redemption for Daryl, and perhaps Laurent will be a significant part of that.

yeh the whole thing with quinn was wierd.. also the fact that laurent said to daryl u will not die in paris.. the way he said it idk it sounded like another thing that laurent knew like it, just like he knew/drew that drawing of daryl on the beach before he washed ashore. like is it possible laurent actually knows that daryl; wont die in paris (paris doesnt mean france tho, so daryl could still die in another city in france but not paris) or laurent was just said that to daryl in a normal hope way but he doesnt actually know if daryl is or not dyin there

Thinking the prophecy is bs is the point. Whole show is about hope, and a prophecy is just manufactured hope. Like yeah its all bs divine stuff, but that doesn't matter if he actually leads the effort to rebuild the world.

I think he was with Isabelle thats why he wanted to ditch her sister....so isabel wouldnt find out he did the dirty with her sister. Now its been over a decade too much time has passed and he prob thought she already knew... I think they wasted the catacombs though...imagine a cool walker fighting scene in there 🤣 (although I get its more likely they were restricted to what they could do in there for preservation purposes)

Quinn didn't know, neither did Izzy that she was pregnant. I don't get how she survived the bite, that I think she had before getting back in the car and the delivered the baby later. Maybe that's why he is thought to be a savior. Regardless they believe he is special because he survived the birth. Also no 9ne delivering him washed their hands and they just hand him over to Izzy. Like get that walker blood off you. She turned in seconds, yet some people took hours or days after getting bit and dying

They both knew she was pregnant. Isabel asked how long and her response is a few months. Quinn said there are no "baby" hospitals. All at the scene right before they took his car. It takes a while to die from a bite - the fever sets in and eventually you die. Reanimation can happen very quickly or take days. I'm really not trying to crap all over your argument lol, there's just explanations for all of that.

We learned in season 1 of the main show that the "turn" times vary. Some people do turn in seconds, some take hours. Regarding her pregnancy, they both knew. They found out in the scene where Lily gets out of the car moaning and groaning. Isabelle finds out first, then Quinn asks what's going on and what's being said. Then, he figures it out and wants to leave her. Isabelle refuses and Quinn says, "where we're going there are no 'baby' hospitals." Then she takes his keys and they leave him behind. Not to sound harsh, but that's a whole lot of shit you missed.

I think he is the kids father and it just shows how much of a narcissistic sociopath he is. When he knew he had to hide the fact he slept with the sister he was ok with abandoning her even tho she was pregnant because his ultimate goal was to be with the other girl and her not know, but now he doesn’t need to hide anything it’s been 13 years and she left him for dead, he feels comfortable enough telling the truth to her finally. But it is telling how dangerous he is if he was willing to do such a thing.

The whole Laurant thing doesn't bother me at all. People are going to believe what they want to believe and in a world so dark, why not have something to give you hope? Whether or not he's a cure or just a great leader to rebuild civilization, we'll have to see. But if he was a cure, the whole birth thing would help explain that because it can't be that common for that kind of thing to happen

In to the part where the dead arise Bible reference Jesus come back to live with us and shows us the way the the devil is loosed and the total final is judged.... it a loose translation... but since Hershel say he said the dead would arise but I thought he had something else in mind .... to laranet being brought back from death out of the dead then they are saying he is christ

France was a very Catholic country for centuries so the idea of living saints, miracles from God, Gods salvation, etc are in the collective consciousness. I think this is the way the kid is viewed especially as he seems to have the “gift” of “prophecy” (knowing what is going to happen before it does). He very interestingly repeated Judith’s words to Daryl when he met him so that implies he can also “know” the past too. Catacombs are so creepy. Who was insane enough to strip the bones 🦴 of plague victims 💀 😱🤢

That is what I don't get why Daryl got two times to kill this guy and it failed never Have I seen Daryl attack and not finish his kill. No sense to the dead band it was cool but what was the purpose? I felt that neither Quinn or Isabelle was shocked to find out about baby Daddy Quinn. Loved the catacombs , Jim Morrison and Eiffel tower.

I know the thing with Laurant is weird but I don't think it's what your thinking. It's not like he's the second coming of Jesus, Messiah just means savior and there is a lot of different ancient writings that are not biblical cannon and I'm guessing that's where this prophecy comes from though I don't have any idea why they think it's him but she said he that this was a test and he was going to revive mankind. I don't why or how he's suppose to or even if he is special but he's obviously very intelligent, empathic, and has some unique traits. I would say just give it time and see where the story leads and don't think to much into it.aybe it's just a prophecy about a leader to help find a cure or something but it doesn't mean he's literally going to be the cure or has miraculous powers of some kind

I think the burners acid blood was an effort to get walkers to decompose faster and the current experiments have that permanent death down to 18 seconds, the extra strength is another unfortunate side effect.

This was certainly my least favorite of the three so far there’s a lot of really clunky weird stuff going on. (Not a bad episode by any means though) Just Some of the directing was really odd but that whole night club scenario really just did not make a lick of sense because there should not be a way to power that much stuff consistently at all right now and if there is, they definitely should’ve given us some inclination as to what it was.

Don’t know why everyone has to have a reaction anytime anything religious is mentioned on a show!! If it were truly the end times, you know religion would play a huge part in everything going on! I don’t really believe that Laurent is the Messiah either … but I don’t see anything wrong with people wanting to have hope and believing in the force of a greater power!

I think this was the worst episode so far. Daryl leaves Laurent out in the open with an inexperienced nun. The supposed future of the world. What was the point? Bring him with you. It’s not like Isabelle felt like hiding her past from him….she literally shows him a picture of his mom later on. Everyone claiming they speak English is getting extremely repetitive now. Can we meet at least someone that doesn’t speak English?

The filler content of the musician just seems pointless, CGI was getting rough this episode, they just need to stop doing VFX on scenes that dont need it if they cant budget for it, falling zombies could just be switched to dummies with makeup, the janky movement at 11:33 is just not needed unless they have someone physically able to do it otherwise it just looks terrible. As for the kid I sort of understand why they're treating like this, its more to do with the religious beliefs that he's the '2nd coming' because of how he was born and him being born that way in their eyes is a first making him the 'special one' to them and could have some form of immunity they do not know about yet
