This is why Deanna said "Wrong Answer" to Rick earlier on in the season. He kept referring to his group as "we" "us" and the rest as Alexandria as "them". This episode demonstrated her point. They all were "we" and "us". It took this moment right here to for Rick to understand they are all ONE.

Rick was pulling all Shane's moves the first half of this season. Shane wanted to take Herschel's farm...Rick thought about taking Alexandria. Shane thought about killing Rick because he wanted Lori....Rick thought about killing Jesse's husband even before he found out he was hitting her, because he wanted her for himself. Shane was all about his small group over everyone else, Rick was all us and them.

Amy Miller the difference is, Shane was crazy enough to do it, Rick wasn’t. Rick would have never killed jesse’s husband for no reason (before he found out he was hitting Jesse), and Rick would have only taken Alexandria if the people threatens ricks group. Shane would have tried to take it over no matter what.

It is true that he caused denise to not be in the infirmary in the first place, but Morgan's reasoning for keeping him alive was proven right-that people can change. So if anything, the w guy has found peace within himself, and was willing to sacrifice himself for denise.

You can't afford to try and fix everyone and be empathetic of their mental illness, as was demonstrated by lizzie and the terminus cannibals. Carol was right and so was Morgan. Wolf guy could've easily been the charismatic serial killer type like Eastman encountered. Pretty sure he was intentionally written to appear that way. But you could argue Carol is also hedging her bets, because like Eastman said, out of the 800 people he evaluated, only one person he met was truly evil. The truth is somewhere in the middle. A good person that does evil things to other good people that you happen to care about isn't always salvageable. You should give someone a lot of chances, because we all constantly fuck up, but at some point you can't put their safety in front of yours or your loved ones, especially in TWD universe. These are all problems that evolution will take care of in a couple thousand years hopefully, and in the mean time we can do the best we can with the brains and instincts we got.

shane was never about s group tho. he didn't give a fuck about nobody except lori n carl. rick considers all of the group his family and will therefore fight for them and never leave without them. they know that and in turn work harder not wanting to let him down. shane ruled by bullying and fear, rick ruled by inclusion. shane wasn't shit.

He thought she was his “shmang” cause she was a Lori 2.0 needed him to defend her from the “big bad world.” Rick was lost and was doing crazy stuff all season. The whole thing with Jessie was creepy af. She became an obsession for him. He didn’t love her. The writers made it clear that it wasn’t going to last. She was a stepping off point that was needed for him to finally get with Michonne and leave all his baggage behind. Can’t wait for your reactions to 6x10 😏

It’s CAROL’s fault. Yeah I get it she’s a badass but idk why people always glazeeover the fact that she terrorized that kid and made him even more scared. They even played her voice to illustrate that. Carol was unreasonable around this time and everyone kept overlooking that because she was Rambo Carol. Shane was DEFINITELY ahead of his time. Rick is just like him now. When Rick said “we gotta come for them before they come for us”, that was most definitely something Shane would’ve said 💯💯

Yeah but Shane didn't approach any scenario correctly hence showing how delusional and messed up he was so he had to go at some point. Rick is the opposite.
