The Waltons - Marshall and Michael Reed - Behind the Scenes with Judy Norton 

I vaguely remember Michael being a little more sensitive than Marshall, but not enough to make a big difference. They were both so cute and fun to work with.

Ralph's ad lib about Pat is hilarious!

Ha, I remember that scene with Ralph and John Curtis about “Pat” and how amazing it was that Ralph just ad-libbed the line about the person on the next farm. Love that it was kept in. I always loved those scenes between Ralph and John Curtis.

The affectionate connection Marshall and Michael had for you, Judy, added so much to the show. The way they cuddled and snuggled with you was so real. It really infused a depth of emotion that just helped make The Waltons what it was.

Judy, thanks a heap for arranging the appearance of Marshall & Michael. Y’all reuniting after all these years made my eyes water a little, lol. It was a sweet edition of Behind the Scenes. Thanks to the “boys” too for being kind enough to share their memories with us. It was all very nice.

So nice to see those guys now as adults,hard to believe that a television program could be so popular more than fifty years later ♥️♥️♥️

Just a wonderful and unexpected interview. It’s so surreal to see them as grown adult men. I mean it was only yesterday that they were babies on The Waltons. Right? Man I feel old. Anyway, I’m glad that they feel proud to be part of a very iconic show.

You were such a natural mother to them. I was always amazed at the scenes where you interacted with them. The fact that you babysat for them explains a lot.

That was cool seeing "John Curtis" all grown up. I really enjoyed seeing the twins that played the role of your son on "The Waltons." They seem like nice men. Thanks so much to you, Judy, and to Marshall and Michael Reed for sharing this fun video.

This was quite interesting hearing the perspective of the role of John Curtis Willard, portrayed by twin brothers Michael and Marshall Reed. They were great little actors who had an extended family for a short time. I could see the chemistry between all three Walton daughters and the twins, who only played one character. Really enjoyed this BTS video.

I remember one episode that John-Curtis was lost… when John-Curtis was found in the woods, he said something about a man and referenced Grandpa Zeb Walton talk to him and kept him safe. 😊This was a real treat, Thank You Judy!!! 🤗😊

My Daughter is seriously ill, you have no idea how much your content you create take us to such a happy place( & watching the reruns 🙂).The show was staged in simpler times, & In all reality of today it aired in a simpler time then today's incantation of Media & Tec ....people are so wrapped up today lol I don't get it. Like the Current state of the "The 3.99" Buffet of Media...no quality & no heart, nor soul ....The Walton's will be remembered as the Mozart of Media in the realms ( Netflix,Prime ect)of today's standards ...lol to me it was a example of how to love thy Neighbor and had moral fiber as it's not shown to much anymore....it seems to be to much a egocentric & narcissistic (me ism culture) is shown now instead of simply giving is better the receiving.... Im 54 years old, my wife is 51, and both of our parents have passed away, and we watch the Waltons if we can daily. The Waltons episodes today help us feel connected to our family and friends that are gone the Waltons have always been a part of our lives. Thanks for all the memories to all the actors, and we wish them the best.

How cool to see them ALL grown up. Such beautiful babies. Loved watching them, my favorite couple of scenes was when he pointed to grandpas photo and when he was "list" in the woods. I can imagine that you had to act like a baby sitter to these boys so that they would get used to a "stranger" role-playing their mother. It would be hard for "John-Curtis" saying his lines wanting to speak as if he was not onscreen.

Curtis just died in the war. I was wondering if you ever dated the Doctor you just about married again or if you remarry. Your story lines are definitely one of my favorites. ❤

I never knew they were twins. I grew up watching The Walton’s, although I’m 41, and I mean, I grew up watching it w/my mama who’d actually really grown up watching, so I didn’t get to see it, week-to-week, like she might’ve. But, recently I told my husband that I wouldn’t die happy if I didn’t get to watch all seasons of the show. 😅 Well, at that time, it wasn’t free on Prime yet, until recently he’d found it, all 9 seasons-free to prime. I CRIED like a baby, bc I was ELATED to watch the show in full. 😅 And, my whole point of this was to say, I kept telling my husband, (bc we binge-watched) that it never seems like that baby, “John Curtis”, it doesn’t seem like he ever gets older. 😂 I feel like they probably did appear older to the ppl that watched week-to-week. I just had to share that w/you, bc I feel like you could appreciate it. 😊 Much love and thank you, for sharing this! 💕

I specifically did a search for this scene! It is one of my favorites to watch Johns face and how he loves and interacts with the kids. I watched a little of this as a kid, I was born in 1967 so.....I started watching this at the beginning of 2023. Im just about done with the whole series and so many tears on how John fathered the kids and also watching him as a husband. I could get glimpses of what a good earthly father would have been like and the love of God coming through him.....SOOOO GOODDDD!!!

It was great seeing Michael and Marshall/John Curtis all grown up. I always loved the scenes with John Curtis. He was such a cute baby and added so much to the show.

They were adorable babies💕💕 I have seen babies on shows and all they did was cry, but the few times we saw John Curtis cry, were in scenes where they (twins) actually had a reason. One of where John Curtis had a ride with the character Mike in the wheel chair and the other was when sweet Billy gave him a piggy back ride. Normal reactions to a child not being used to strangers. The connection with you Judy was amazing. The very same episode of John Curtis and Sweet Billy, You could tell that Michael Learned had not been on the show for some time and the twins even had a reaction to her holding them where as any other time they were perfectly fine with her holding them. She had come downstairs in the house and as soon as John Curtis saw Mary Ellen he cried and reached out for her.

I just watched one today! when Mary Ellen got the new job with the horse making house calls and she took her son on the horse to make a connection with some of the mountain folks . Wow , I was impressed. And how cute her son was waving he really looked like he was having fun on the horse and Mary Ellen looked so natural with both horse and baby! Thanks for taking us back and giving us piece of a much simpler happer time of innocence! 🤗 I love love watching still thanks to the whole cast family of the Waltons 💜

its great to have touch wirh them even though they were only kids on the show, but played a vital role for all the cast. they were awesome!

Oh my gosh, I was so thrilled to come across this! I watch at least one episode of The Waltons each day, and I am on Season 8 right now. I love babies so much and I have fallen totally and completely in love with cute little ‘John Curtis! I love all of the scenes with you, Michael and Marshall. Y’all were just absolutely ADORABLE! So good natured, and I love how you would so readily go to your ‘Mom’ and the other actors…you looked so natural. I was thinking how the actors must have spent a great bit of time with you in order to make you so comfortable with them. The scene where you are talking about your pants is just too adorable for words! Thank you so much for coming here and talking to us, Michael and Marshall, and to Judy, for yet another wonderful episode. I love and appreciate all of these so much! I am a 66 year old woman, a native Virginian who still lives in Va. I live a very sad, grief filled life, having lost my daughter and her little girls (my only grandchildren), ages 30, 5, and 18 months old, 6 years ago, by domestic violence. I do not mean to be morbid or give TMI, I only mention it because I want you to know just how much of a literal ‘life-saver’ your show is to me. I have always been a big fan, and even more so now. For just a little while each day I am able to have just a little respite from my pain and disappear from my difficult reality. What a blessing and I thank you all. What a dream come true it would be for me to someday meet you all. Thank you so much, and God bless all of the actors on the Waltons!
