Hi. Lydia. Last week I had a Dr's appointment and was running late. I wore a long sleeve white tee and off white cargo pants. I was worried it was too Pajama like so I wore a gold chain and did a half tuck. The Dr's assistant exclaimed, I love your outfit. Thank you ,Lydia for all the perfect style advice ! 🙂
BASICS TO BUY - Silk trousers - Silk tank top - Off-white silk button blouse - Striped blouse - Black t-shirt - White or beige trousers - Black trousers - Off-white jeans - Striped t-shirt - Denim shorts - Knitted tank top - Linen trousers - Striped dress or "chemise" I personally would also add a linen blazer, easy to wear and breathable for the summer.
As a sahm who has been living in sweatpants and feeling bleh bc I used to dress up every day in my previous life you’ve brought me round to wearing wide leg trousers and a button up every day and it feels AMAZING. I feel much more out together and more myself. It’s true they are effortless, cool and comfortable.

I wear a lot of silk. These are nice pieces. Lilysilk is a bit thicker, and sometimes sizes smaller. A hand-held steamer is my best friend, and travels well in a suitcase.

Do love the look of wide leg trousers and favour silk over linen as appreciate its look of luxury and easy maintenance. On that note; re LilySilk; as still do stocking stuffers (from Santa) for my adult children and their spouses last year purchased one of their style of pillowcases as an item (as well as two for myself) and highly recommend them as not only do you wake up without 'bed head hair' BUT one of my teenage grandsons who was battling a cycle of acne tried his Mom's and couldn't believe how it helped his complexion. @CC: Only have their pillowcase(s) but do wash them inside-out on gentle cycle, warm water, mild detergent BUT enclose them in a (zippered) mesh laundry bag for that part of maintenance. (Amazon carries the latter.) For drying I remove them from the bag and use the air cycle and find that I don't even have to iron/press them. (I presume if your dryer has a setting for delicate fabrics that would work as well since heat is less concentrated.) Hope this helps.

Look into Kibbe types! This has a big influence on what types of clothing looks best and may explain why some things just don’t look right. I realised that I’m frame dominant (tall, broad shoulders) therefore frilly and fussy things always looked silly on me. But straight edged, long, monochromatic outfits look great because it compliments my frame and height. Hope this helps!
I put on a belt when I want to look put together and leave it when wanting to look effortlessly chic i.e. looking great but giving an element that am not trying too hard. I hope I am making sense to u. Practice it n with time it will come natural.

I love the silk items you showed but are they washable? I haven't bought silk for many many years because it always said dry clean only on the care labels.
Channels have to do sponsorships sometimes, if they want make a living for all of the hard work and time and effort that goes into making all of their helpful videos. It's a ton of work and it makes sense not to do it all for free.
I think she was comparing cotton products to silk products. Saying that cotton needs more water than mulberry trees, so silk is more environmentally friendly...aside from the silkworm argument.
Some of these styles are a bit outdated, i mean the satin shirt we used to see it in the 80's wored for example from Joan Collins in the Dynasty series, plus this look makes you look older.
