The Warning Fans.....FEELIN' YOU!!! Tonight we're coming back to The Warning, with a song entitled "Choke". This video was released, and in less than 24 hours I had 22 people on RU-vid and on Patreon ask me to do this. How can I refuse that many people in such a short span of time? Answer: I can't...( #PeerPressure ) So I did this reaction video, and it got BLOCKED!!! So I contested it, risked a copyright strike....and I won. So now here it is, unblocked, for everyone to enjoy. How's this one gonna go? Only one way to find out...

What I love about them is that they haven't "sold" themselves. There is no prancing around in lingerie or flashing their bits or rubbing up against half dressed male dancers in a provocative manner while lip-syncing to something that someone else put together for them. What they give us is talent on top of professionalism on top of good old nous (smarts, pronounced now-s for all the illiterate cretins) and it feels so real. I first saw them a few years ago doing Survive on the tedX set, immediately something grabbed my attention, I have been a patron of theirs ever since. I honestly can't think of anything they have done that I didn't enjoy.

What did it for me, more than anything else, was Dany's vocals. That's something completely different from anything I've heard from her. Then she did those two phrases where she went so low I couldn't believe it was her. *That's* what blew my mind. She must have done so much work on her voice. In the live videos (there are two, one public and one for the patreon community), Ale sings those low phrases. That also made me sit up straight. They were talking about the album in an interview (well, Dany and Pau were; Ale was recovering from complications from wisdom tooth surgery, but she's back in action now). Pau was commenting that every song on the album is different, and Dany interjected that that's "very The Warning". Indeed. To me, that only reinforces that they are not done growing and don't intend to be. I'm expecting that future albums are going to veer into some very interesting territory (and we still have 10 songs left on this). One of the most impressive visuals to me was Pau's big fill into the second chorus. It's regal, not merely elegant, how she sits ramrod straight with such economical but dramatic motion. She's the reigning queen of the drums. They are all very elegant, in metal formal dress and how they present themselves here. But there's something about how Pau executes that fill that's a treat to the eye as much as to the ear; she's so calmly but firmly in command of the instrument. Ale's not actually especially tall; she's supposedly about 5'7". Her sisters are short; Dany's no more than 5'2" or 5'3", and Pau might be 5' on a good day. This video was recorded in a 22 hour marathon from 7 AM to 5 AM the next day, in Monterrey (yes, they chose to do it in their home country, when they could have done it anywhere). They've posted a behind the scenes video of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-05urHhfoxG8.html . They were surely exhausted, but as you note, they never show it.

"Please open for us". done. They're one of the opening bands for Metallica at Rockville, Nov 14th in Daytona Beach. They're opening for Foo Fighters, Nov 10th in Mexico City. Halestorm wants them to open for them when they start touring. Bring it on. Great reaction, been waiting for you to get this one out, congrats. All of them have benefited from Dave Bendeth and his team. Spot on about Ale's bass play. You'll notice that Pau's drumming is now more compact, she has no wasted energy in her drum strokes. And Dany's voice has certainly matured and been refined by instruction. She'll never lose that "fall into the role" with her passion and expressions.

Opening. A cutsey opening act that shakes asses and makes people laugh. There actually seriously talented female musicians in the world of metal. These girls are handled by producers and managers whom write simple music that they might be able to fake live. This mo different than Backstreet Boys.

Watching your reaction was like watching a "proud papa moment". You've been following them from the early stages to now. We can see how proud of them(especially with Alejandra) you are. Seeing how they've evolved and grown into a incredible, almost finished product(they're still young, they'll keep evolving for a few more years). Everything you said about them is true. I saw confidence, energy, power, but I also saw what I think is most important, control. Especially from Paulina on the drums. She use to be so big in her movements and slightly out of control(breaking sticks a lot) to now where there's still power , but not breaking the sticks or looking like Animal from the Muppets. Big things are gonna happen for them now and in a short time they will be headlining their own shows, like you said.

It's so funny when people remark how tall Ale is. It's almost an illusion. She looks tall compared to her sisters and she's wearing fat '70's style platform shoes (notice the flared pants?). Ale isn't short for a woman, but she's 5'7." Let's talk about her sisters. Dany looks tall because she has long looks. Dany is 5'3" tall. That's short. Speaking of short Pau is barely 5.' I agree with your opinion on how powerful this song will be for their future.

This video blew my mind. Heavy hard core rock. Dany voice have reached another level with her power and her use of her upper register. They made this video in one day. Great review and I agree with your review 100%. They will be opening for Metallica at Daytona Beach November 14,2021 at the Rockville Festival.

Everything you've said is true. At first, I was over the moon that these young ladies took the time to master their instruments rather than pilfer, (sample) another artist's hard work just to blather banal "lyrics" over it. That they relied on Musicianship over skimpy out fits, blatant sexuality and troupes of dancers. But the more I listened, the more I felt their passion and intellect. They write and play their own stuff, they're humble and pleasant to their fans ! As you said, the're not done yet! Good one David! You've been spot on so far!...I just wish Ale would let here hair grow back to long again.

These insanely talented girls will release on 23 of july a new single from their third album called "Evolve" On september 10 they will release a cover of enter sandman for 30-year celebration of Black album by Metallica. On november 10 they will open for Foo Fighters on Foro del Sol CDMX. On november 14 they will participate in Rockville festival at Daytona, FL at same day as metallica. On january 20 and 22 of 2022 they will do 2 concerts at Troubadour, LA. The tickets were sold out in just 3 hours. Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡

Yes, that devilish smile gets me every time along with a handful of chills, the visuals are excellent, I'm losing my thoughts, this has to be the most powerful song they done, of course there is more to this album we haven't heard yet, they're releasing a new song on July 23, "Evolve" + 10 others one of which is Martirio the other titles are unknown as of yet. Since the song was released it now has 742k views. As you've noticed, yes they have grown up and have gotten better, dust off you music shelf and get ready to add some new stuff by the Warning. I know a lot of people have told you already that you need to check out the Live from the cave version. I will say the audio is not the same as this video but the performance and stage presence is better. There is a added surprise in it as well that makes it worth watching, just for that reason alone.

After This Video was released they have had tons of Interviews mostly from Mexican, Central and South America interviewers, Matthew Pinfield has Interviewed them twice once on a Zoom call and second one at a Record Store in LA, in that Interview they announced they are playing at the Troubadour in LA on January 20, 2022, when tickets went on sale it sold out so they added a second show on the 22nd and that too sold out. Then they announced that they were going to be part of the 53 Artist that are playing the song from Metallica Black Album they are sing a duet with Alessia Cara they are singing Enter Sandman, then they Announced that they were invited to play at the Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach Florida on November 14th they are playing the same day as Metallica and Lynyrd Skynyrd, then last Week they Announced they are Opening for the Foo Fighters on November 10th in Mexico City, and then they announced their are releasing the second single from their new Album on July 23 the song is called "Evolve" they gave us a few seconds on Patreon it Kicked Ass.

@@THEDavidHeretic I was on the monthly chat in their patreon and the girls mentioned Choke is no 12 out of the 12 songs in the new album according to them. So it isn't their favourite track, I can't even imagine what their favourite track will sound like. If their worst according to them gets a 9.2, we are all in for a ride for sure. Nice to finally see the entire reaction. I think one reason you were so impressed with this song is that, if I'm not mistaken, this is only the second studio recording you've done of theirs. The other was XXI Century Blood (the song you were referring to in this reaction that you liked). I don't think it's coincidence that the songs you liked best are the professional productions. TWA on the other hand, generally prefers the passion of the live performances. That's just how we roll. 😁

Absolutely right! Their second single drops July 23rd and it's heavier than this. In November they are opening for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City at a stadium venue that holds 65,000, Then 4 days later they are Playing in Daytona Speedway at the Rockville festival to 190,000 on before Metallica. They will be heard on the Radio by then. Next year they are going to explode!

Great reaction as usual. FYI: Ale is not quite as tall as you. She is actually is only around 5'7". However, the fact that Dany is about 5'3" and Pau is 5'0" in thicc socks, makes Ale look so much taller. A couple reactors from StaticAge Channel had the opportunity to see them live. They were amazed at how small they all actually are. But they are monsters on the stage.

Hey, congratulations for winning and thanks for not giving up ;) Yes, yes they have grown up and not only because of the age, Danny's voice is tremendous, in an interview they asked him about how high the pitch of the song is and why they did it that way. Pau answered that when composing it he proposed Danny to lower it a tone, but she didn´t want to, even at the time of recording David Bendeth himself proposed to lower it a tone or at least half a tone so that it was not so demanding, but Danny said no, that he sang it as it was, in his own words because she is very "stubborn" and the result is evident that it has been worth it. Also, I don't know if you have seen the version they did from their studio, the day after the video was released, it was at the end of an interview and there you can see how good they are, in raw and you can hear that his voice is the one that comes out in the MV, without autotunes or tricks. Greetings from Spain ;) PS. I'm sure you've already been told the same thing in other comments hehehehe (Automatic translation by software)

I'm a bit late to the party since I was a bit under the weather earlier, but great review David! I really like watching Pau's 'machine gun' style fills on this. You notice she has her indestructible DW kit from home, as dealing with drum kit problems wasn't an option! ..and Ale (aka Lil' Gene) making good use of the low B on that new Spector Custom 5 string, took it to another level!😁 Dany is the vocal queen on this, and her experience at Lava's recording studios has pushed her to find more of her voice, not to mention some tasty licks on that new PRS guitar. Now we have another track (Evolve), about to drop, so let's see where they take it from here!!😉 🤘😎🤘

Best reactor in RU-vid Town; you got a HARRUMPH from this guy. These ladies have definitely evolved and as you said they are not done yet. The vocals, the lyrics, the music, the visuals, delivery, everything about this video and song is mesmerizing. I need more (cowbell 😁) and I can hardly wait for July 23 for release of their second single “Evolve”. 🤘😎🤘

You say this is the best you have heard from them. I say this is by far the best reaction/review I have heard of this song. I really appreciate reactors who analyze songs and explain their reasons for the review they give. You always do and it is always informative and entertaining. I hope you will continue to do these as they release more music from their upcoming record. It is an important stage in the evolution of their careers and so far (I know it's only one single) the music is really good.

Fantastic reaction, well worth the wait! Hopefully the blocking issue will be resolved when you react to their next single, "Evolve", which drops on the 23rd. Consider this a reaction request for their next single which I haven't even heard yet but already know will absolutely kill! Ale is not six feet tall... yet. She is now around 5'8", and, according to Dany, still growing!

Blocking this kind of reaction is counterproductive. It isn't going to take views away from the official video. It's not one of those reactions where someone just plays it through and mentions how it blew their mind. Well yeah, you did say that it blew your mind, but only with a lot of detailed commentary along the way and a highly detailed and informative discussion explaining why. BTW, has Sheriff Bart ever figured out keeps throwing a thumbs-down on TW videos?

Best Reactor on RU-vid! Thank you for your great reaction sir! How much do you think that David Bendeth's production skills contributed to this sound? The next single Evolve is set to be released on 7/23 but still no date for the entire album. BTW, Ale isn't really that tall. Pau, 5'- Dany, 5'4" - Ale, 5'7" plus add the platform heels and she's a giant!

I think David played a substantial role in helping to shape the sound, but I also believe the sound was always there. Like a sculptor, rather than continuing to add more and more clay, he just trimmed a littler bit here...shaved off a little bit there...until he helped bring the vision into light. Production is not easy, I've been in the booth with engineers and producers, who literally sit and work on a single 4-bar phrase for over 3 hours until they get it exactly how they want it.

@@THEDavidHeretic Yes, in an interview they made reference to the great work of the producer and engineers to find the right sound, especially in the weeks (I think it was 2 o 3 weeks) of pre-production, trying different elements and adjustments in the instruments, Pau was delighted to be able to choose between so much variety, although I didn't understand the object she was referring to. But they also praised how much it helped them to improve themselves and to teach them to play together as a group, I understand that it's what you mentioned about Ale who stays further back when she has to and comes to the front when it's necessary. Funny you mention "Evolution" and "Evolve" because this is the name of their second single of their 3rd album and gonna be release the 23th of this month, another funny fact is that this gonna be one of my birthday presents, and definitely the best one ;) Excelent reaction as always. The remark about them evolving was fitting better than you thought at the time. As you know by now, next July 23rd their new single comes out and it's called "Evolve".

The song about social media is XXI Century Blood from their first studio album that came out in 2017. What a banger..but this song .... is just NEXT LEVEL! The night this song premiered on RU-vid was personally one of the most memorable nights ever for me. The song is powerful, heavy, solid, and so many other things. Cannot even describe how much I love this masterpiece. Wait until their second single Evolve comes out this Friday the 23rd at midnight EST. It might even be as good or even better then CHOKE ....?! what an exciting time for The Warning and the future of rock music.⚡️✨❤️💓⚡️ it’s funny with Ale, she actually got her teeth pulled out around the same time they shoot this and her mouth was in severe pain..I believe she was in the middle of recovering during the video, and she still looked comfortable and natural..just incredible.

If you remember in some recent interviews Pau kept saying the word Evolve. She tried to give us a clue but no one ever tought that she would be saying that word because of a new song. So from now on I’ll be looking out for clues in their interviews.

!!YAY!! I am so happy that the RU-vid police finally released their block on your upload David Heretic! I thought that they would, but I didn't think it would take this long. Great reaction/review! I'm going to see them LIVE for my 2nd and 3rd time at The Troubadour January 20th and 22nd, 2022. They are amazing LIVE and put on a fabulous show! It's sounding like this 3rd album is going to blow my mind. I am a 61 year old drummer/live sound engineer who has been mixing LIVE music on my own equipment for decades. I have witnessed a ton of LIVE acts from garage bands, hole in the wall bars, medium sized clubs, large clubs, small theaters, large theaters, small arenas, large arenas, small outdoor venues, large outdoor venues and huge stadiums. Like you, I can spot something extraordinary when I see and hear it. For me, The Warning's strength is in their songwriting ability and their LIVE performances. When asked about if they had a favorite song on the new album and where Choke would be they answered that Choke would be on place 12 and that Evolve would be on place 11. Not really sure how serious that answer was because the question was almost like asking a parent how they rate their children. 😉 Still, they rated their song Martirio on place 9 so I guess they feel more proud of their Spanish songs in general.
