The performance that launched a thousand fans! This was Jan 21, 2017. Dany turned 17 just nine days later, Pau turned 15 two weeks later on Feb 5, and Ale had just turned 12 on Dec 13. So technically, they were 16, 14, 12.
Young- 16, 14, and 12 years old. By the way Pau shattered that drum stick and kept playing until she could throw down the broken stick and pick up another!
Dany had just turned 17, Pau had just turned 15 and Ale had just turned 12. This is the video where I first discovered them. I was just blown away, to say the least! BTW, Pau didn't drop her stick. Watch it closely again. Her stick shattered and a piece flew up and landed on a cymbal to her right. She changes hands with her sticks, drops the bad one and picks up another, and doesn't miss a beat! A few seconds later, she hits that cymbal and you see the chunk go flying! That's our "Shredder", Pau!!!! Ale slays both the keyboard and the bass! Dany is in "Full Dany" mode! Just incredible to watch!
When asked about the broken stick, Pau asked " Is that the time i only broke one stick. Watch her live performances and she is always grabbing a new one. She now keeps the spares a bit closer to her.
RU-vid set the trap for me by suggesting this video about four years ago. I took the bait and fell deep into the rabbit hole where I still am today. So much so that I traveled to Rockville to see these incredible ladies perform yesterday as it was high on my bucket list to do so. It didn’t help…I just want more!
Hate to ask this but since you were there in Rockville, how was the sound? Us unfortunate souls had to watch on a Twitch stream with some terrible audio and quite frankly was a bit infuriating. I did watch the Instagram stories video that was posted by TWA and it sounded much better.
Was the sound there at the festival good? In the streaming there were several audio problems, the girls can be seen to have problems, especially with their drums and microphone and some problems with Danny's tuning on the guitar, even so. they had a very good performance
She didn"t drop it. She broke one of sticks, which landed on a cymbal. She then dropped so she could grab another stick. Then Dany was 16, Pau was 14, and Ale was 11. Now the are 21, 19, and 16.
Perhaps the band's most iconic performance of "Survive", made all the more relevant by their inspirational comments between songs and Dany's, now famous, quote. Amazingly, the girls have always known exactly where they were going from day one!
Like so many others, this performance is what hooked me. Actually, it was an Instagram snippet of Pau playing this that piqued my curiosity and led me to the entire Ted Talk. I’m not going to ask you to react to the whole show but watch it for yourself. Dany’s eloquence in the beginning here is a glimpse. They all speak and Ale does quite a bit. It is exactly what you want from a Ted Talk. Inspiring, endearing and it will bring you joy.
This whole Tedx performance is awesome! Unmendable and When I'm Alone are definitely worth watching/reacting to! (Btw, to me, Pau = Pow. Also, an easy way to remember their ages - roughly: whatever year it is, that's Dany's age; Pau is 2 years younger; Ale, 5.)
This was the last song of 3 that they played. Between songs they talked about their struggles and Pau gave a strong admonishment to fight for your goals. I believe that after this talk they went to play a regular show that night but that is just from comments I've read. I hadn't even heard of them back then.
Later that night they played the LEX Nightclub, and Ale's guitar strap broke during Survive... You can watch it here, time stamped ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iDghmdQdwVs.html Fun Fact - Dany is now wearing Pau's plaid shirt that she was wearing at the TEDx gig
Pau does NOT drop sticks . If you watch before you can see her breaking a stick and then swapping it . I guess Pau must do that often the way she beats the crap out of her drums . Luv to see her passion and energy
Not quite "metal", but good old hard rock with great vocal melodies and harmonies, and more "hooks" than any pop song! That's our girls! All grow'ed up now! :D
Todas sus canciones tienen algo especial, no solo por el ritmo, la manera en que se entrelazan los instrumentos y la letra de sus canciones, sino además por los incidentes que ocurren de vez en cuando en sus presentaciones en vivo. The Warning: poderoso trío de rock. Saludos 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Nice! Been hoping you would eventually react to this video, so it's nice to see. That whole Ted Talk video was one of the first videos from The Warning that I ever saw and really got me hooked (especially that last song "Survive") and wanting to find out more about them. Now for "Narcisista" by The Warning. Live at Foro DiDi Monterrey ---> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O7IAEhN4RMM.html I'm sure you've already been given the link several times already, but this is my (and others I suspect) favorite live performance of Narcisista. I think this may also have been the first time they performed Narcisista live, but I'm not positive. Anyways, it's a really fun video with good audio quality from their official RU-vid channel.
Get ready for a whole lotta comments and subs from members of TWA (The Warning Army). We are a loosely organized group that apparently scours the internet daily to upvote, sub and comment on Reactor channels. Some Reactors get 3x as many comments when they take on TW videos. Oh, and by the way: You Have Been Warned.
