Dany is a master at giving a song what is required from the guitar and never shredding just to prove she can. The minimalist, haunting tone of The End is a brilliant way to wrap up a masterpiece album. Thanks for seeing it all the way through, Joker!
I love this song as well. Particularly in the context of the whole story. You got it essentially right when you read the lyrics. Pau is singing the "good" side of the Queen. In Hunter, Death got his revenge on our protagonist and killed her. He was angry because she dared to claim his throne in hell. This song is a self-requiem. The Queen laments her sins, but recognizes that she can't fix things or make amends, "with unclean hands". Dany's vocal is the death scream of the evil side of the Queen. Looking forward to your summary and top three. For my money, and not necessarily in order; 1). Dull Knives, 2). P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C., and 3). The End. Honorable metions to Dust to Dust, Sinister Smiles, and Red Hands Never Fade. Now i realize i am feeling guilty about omitting some of the other songs. The Humanities!!

Great song from a great band and (imho) one of the best classic Rock albums of the century. I am so happy that i got one of the last signed deluxe vinyls of QOTMS and XXI Century Blood direct from Mexico.
THE END IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND MELANCHOLIC THEME, THE LAST THEME OF THE QOTMS CONSEPTUAL ALBUM, A GREAT INTERPRETATION BY PAU, A THEME THAT GOES WITH HIS STYLE OF VOICE AND DANY PLAYS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOLO, TW THE PASSION AND FEELING OF ROCK
Dany & Pau mentioned that Dany’s long wail at the end of “Dust to Dust” & “The End” links the act together in an infinite loop (“and we shall start again” to “start over again”). They also mentioned it was a device that means the album can remain on repeat as the story continues. Clever! They do perform often at high altitudes in Mexico which reduces Pau’s stamina to singing only several tunes there.

It's really tough choosing a top three for this album because every song is great and with only fractions being the difference it comes down to personal preferences , so i would say no.1 Queen of the murder scene , no.2 The end and no.3 psychotic for me ( probably ) Lol.
Although I believe it is virtually impossible to truly have a single favorite song by The Warning (they are all favorites in their own right) this is definitely among the top of the list. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
Great reaction! I have enjoyed your analysis of this album. I have been a The Warning fan for years and have seen/heard this complete concert (and their other older concerts) many times. Pau does sing lead more and has covered for Dany a few times when needed, including their song Copper Bullets in this concert. Ale' has also sung lead when needed but she is more shy about it. Thank you again for the complete album review. Really enjoyed it!
You cannot but get emotional to conclude this masterpiece of an album. If you remember in D2D where they sing 'Dust to Dust and we can start again' , well in this song does start again mean death? Start again, to be reborn after death? The girls left the lyrics vague so you can interpret the song your own way. Great reactions as always and now you can do much more of The Warning. Super excited that the second half of the Mayday EP has been announced for release on June 24th. See you there Joker. 🤟
Paulina definitely likes to sing a few songs during concerts but as she has said is singing and drumming is very taxing on her so she will only do a couple per concert.
@@jokerreactions7077 It really was, we got to be that close because it was a one of QOTMS Kickstater campaign rewards, it was maybe 12 of us inside the barrier, and the cherry on top was that we went to a restaurant with them to have tacos right after the show, how awesome is that? Dany sat with us at one end of the table, and talked to us as if we were old friends.
Great reaction, loved watching you complete your journey through QOTMS. Such an amazing album full of incredibly deep, passionate and catchy songs, all written and recorded by independent artists who stayed true to themselves and did not fall into the trap of letting a recording company tell them what to do or change them. These girls are not only talented but smart too they know what they want and how to go about doing it. They listen to advice and take from it what they need to allow them to reach their goals, I look forward to their continuing success and can't wait for the new album to drop on the 24 of June. (Well the other half anyway)
I think they are playing around with the setlists for their live performances to help Dany's voice rest a bit. Pau sings some of the songs, and whenever Dany's voice is an issue they have Ale sing (she has done a few songs in the past). Like you I love Pau's voice. Ale's voice is great as well, just not as powerful, but I think if she worked on singing she would be able to execute as well as her sisters.
