It looks like a bad psychedelic trip, I'd of thought he went for a walk to try to shake it off and the shop was too much for him. I've personally been in this situation, though, thank god for serve yourselves, so I paid for my water.

I think she went to put her hand up like you would when you bump into something, but he was so close that her hand was immediately on him and then she didn't like how close he was, which I can understand, I didn't and wouldn't like someone that close either, especially when the store is empty besides the two of them, then she took that opportunity to tell him off like a parent would to a child. That or she instinctively thought he was trying to pickpocket her so she went for the hand to stop him from hiding her wallet. (notice how he had something in his hand, maybe she thought it was her wallet or something like that.)

I think he came from the past probably centuries ago travelling in a time machine and was overwhelmed to see everything around him. Pretty normal if that's the case.
