THANK YOU for calling out the (specifically) autistic-related ableism in this novel! almost no review i’ve seen talk about even the mere fact that “asperger’s syndrome” is both an outdated and offensive term in our community. these creators would continue to talk about the daughter using this language and it really irks me

Verity made me so mad. The premise was so captivating and then I just lost it and was pissed by the time I ended it. My best friend would get rage texts from me then she read it and then would rage text me 😂😅. Great video ❤.

Love this video! You covered a lot of the issues I had with this book. I feel like in another world (or maybe with another author) it could have been so good!!

Yeah, you have returned! Love the new avatar. I have no interest in reading anything from Colleen Hoover because of the way that most of them are labeled as romances when that is the opposite. I think that’s more a problem with the publisher and publishing as a whole but when most of her books are plastered at my bookstore, I just don’t want to follow the crowd.

I read Verity knowing nothing of Colleen Hoover. In fact, I read it because it was free on Prime Reading a few years back. I was shook. I really enjoyed it (despite the graphic content and many flaws that you've outlined here) and ended up reading more of CH. And I found that I really don't love her romance stuff. No shade to her, I'm not a fan of the romance genre in general. I need my books to have romance + other stuff. I'm now dying to know your take on Layla. Layla might be a top 10 favorite of mine.

Came across this after listening to the VC Andrews. Didn’t occur to me that Verity was going through PPD. I chalked it up to being vain.

Thank you for this! I picked up Verity from a free book exchange- I had never heard of C.H. I was initially captivated…. I couldn’t put it down UNTIL I DID. I was annoyed and frustrated and it isn’t until NOW that I am finding out the ending! ** and I’m not alone in my feelings of this book! Also I was in Target and in the false nail section there was a big display/ the author’s books and nails to match. Such a great idea ( not thrilled with this author though ) hopefully they’ll do more authors! 💅 📚
