Ishana wrote and directed, M. night was one of three producers. It is based on a book: The Watchers by A.M. Shine. For anyone interested!

I literally got an ad about the watcher when this pulled up. They watching me😭

Literally JUST watched this no more than 20 minutes ago lol. I adored this movie so much, it was truly fantastic. Not the best but not the worst either

At first I enjoyed the horror aspects, but it felt too reminiscent of the show "From." I still enjoyed it when it essentially turned into a dark fairy tale though. Overall I think it was a solid effort, especially for a first-time director. I understand this was actually an adaptation of a book, but I haven't read it so I don't know how accurate to the source material it is. Overall I think people should definitely check it out when they get the opportunity

The twist for the trap movie is going to be that the daughter is actually the butcher and the dad is just trying to protect her from being caught.

I’ll watch it when I see it on a stream service but I learned my lesson about this family after seeing The Village in theaters. Never again.

I just finished this movie and I loved it!!! I have not read the book, so I was able to see it from a different lens. But after reading the comments I am very surprised to not see what people thought the monsters were. From my perspective and hearing many stories on RU-vid, did anyone think the watchers were Skin Walkers? From what people who had true accounts of them the description sounds about the same. From being four legged creatures to standing on two feet, standing about 8ft to 9ft tall, being shape shifter's and mimicking other people voices, to also screaming in distress to lure you to them as a trap. All which they displayed in this movie. From the previews I picked up some clues as to what this was about. I loved this movie, it was a great debut to me!!!

Oh my god I’m so excited I just read the book and I don’t read so that should say it all but I’m going tonight and the cast and just everything about this movie and book 😭 my anxiety for what’s gonna happen! I’m Not ready! But ima come back after and watch this

Another well articulated review. People are hating on the Shyamalans. The directing is good. The writing...rough, predictable, heavy-handed, too much speaking the exposition, and too much extended third act. They need to work with strong writers.

I liked it a lot…the end was wow!!! I highly recommend it…

I genuinely enjoyed the film. I didn’t guess the twist of who the watchers were but I did guess the other twists in the movie and it was actually fun to see my guess come to fruition. I give it a 8/10

For a first film I think she did very well and honestly I think it turned out much different then what we were expecting and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing..... I think time will decide how good this movie is

Bad boys 1995 is far superior than for life or ride or die the story actually made sense and I was invested in the charachters they were likeable and entertaining

For me the movie lacks stressing moments and also characters are very shallow. Only thing i wanted them to die in unfortunate circumstances but that didn't happen. The eery setting in the beginning of the movie was the best part and it could be so much better. I didn't mind the history and information about the watchers though. Still subpar overall

I rlly enjoyed this movie as it was the first horror in a long time that actually had me hookee from the start and feel nervous when watching it. Icl i feel all the fear goes after they leave and i kinda wished they just couldn't get away. Plus i they reminded me alot of skin walkers instead of fairy's

This movie was one of my favourite movies ever period

I feel like the movie was 30 minutes to long and when the third plot twist happened it just ruined it for me

I thought the movie was pretty good. Ending could’ve been a little better but I enjoyed it overall.

I thought her as a director was amazing. I love the way M Night frames things and does a great job. You see how he has a huge influence on his daughter and is continuing the style and we should just coin it as the Shyamalan genre... which covers any aberration of storing telling. They're filming in a way that even a deaf person watching without subtitles can see the story and understand it.

Not great. Solid idea squandered in typical Shyamalan fashion. Twists pretty much revealed the second there was any set up and really insulted the audience moving into the third act. I'd recommend bc it was done fine, but if you've seen a lot of horror movies, this is a wasted opportunity with no surprises.

Wat if the twist for trapped is the daughter set up the father

I have no idea why they didn't keep the watchers a mystery I loved being scared and the anticipation was really cool then the final act just ruined it in my opinion

7/10 pretty good movie The first 5-10 minutes is typical somewhat boring horror cliche movie but after that 10 minutes it gets decent then good then pretty good

This movie was so rushed 😢 the book is so much better and idk if it’s just because I read the book that took away from the movie experience but yea I almost feel like this would’ve been better as a show
