On 5.7.21, I spent $8 at 2 separate garage sales and scored the Dual 2 lantern for $5 and the 413F 2 burner stove for $3 w fuel funnel and zero rust. Neither were used nearly enough and are now stowed below deck of my restored 1972 Glastron tri-hull bow rider for beach camping on the Mississippi River ❤️😎 thank you for your review 💕

You're welcome and right on for those deals! It is amazing the deals to be found at yard sales. We aren't far from that particular river. We live about 30 miles east of St Louis and the river of course.

I have a lantern case for all my lantern's. I always push in the bottom of the case under the tabs and have never had them fall off even though they has been carried many times, some times for quite a way along the bank of a river or lake and along a few lake dams. I have 3 lanterns, none have ever come open. By the way, that case protects the mantels very well. My lanterns have been knocked over while setting on the ground and the mantles were fine. They have also been in my trailer and hauled many miles on highway and back roads. Not saying they won't break in the case, just saying the case is very good protection. The mantles that are spring clip eliminate the hassle of trying to tie them. They cost a little more, but if you are careful will last a long time. I have one in the powerhouse propane lantern that are at least 10 yrs old and still fine. Just don't touch them after they are burnt. Another thing I have found with both liquid fuel and propane is after the lantern has started turn it up all the way or at least almost all the way. Seems to help get them heated up faster and better. After it has gotten hot seems like it adjusts for brightness better.

I have four of these cases and they all have the same issue of wanting to come unclipped even had one come undone and break an original red pyrex globe. I carry them all by the bottom now. The old yellow clamshell and metal cases were far superior and even had funnel accommodations. Also the instaclip mantles seem to break much easier than the conventional string ties

@@MrNetnic - did you not read the instructions Mr. Woods, what need is there to explain, the funnel let’s you know when the container is full, read and learn, you need to be be smarter then the funnel.
