My online Nutrition class instructor is too lazy to make video lectures so all lectures are reading material...in addition to reading the chapters as well. I don't learn that well through reading alone, so this is very helpful!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m on edX, taking their course on nutrition and malnutrition. Your presentation more in depth, and much more interesting, full of useful information. I’m so grateful to have found your channel.
Do you have a video that covers these process when using ketone metabolism rather than glucose metabolism as your energy system? I am wondering if thiamine is still required or there is a substitute when in ketosis? I am also wondering about creatine energy processes.
I am not a Student....but this is really great information... I have a question....Can Folate deficiency anemia be misconstrued/misdiagnosed as Iron deficiency anemia??
Anemia is basically when you don't have enough healthy functioning red blood cells. With folate deficiency, the cells are abnormally large. With iron deficiency the cells are abnormally small. But anemia from both deficiencies will have some of the same symptoms - fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. You would need to perform blood tests to figure out which nutrient deficiency is causing these symptoms.
