I was on the fence when he came around! He does do an excellent job! I don't think they hate him so much, as they hate change... you feel like your betraying your favorite guy which in this case is Steve Perry!

NOT EVERYONE HATES ARNEL there’s more people who loves Arnel than hate him . Only those Steve perry fanatic will comments bad when it comes to Arnel fronting the journey band. So don’t generalize the fans saying against Arnel touring with the band. It’s a bold statement that everyone hates Arnel so it means even you hates him because you belong to the people who hates him that’s why you said that. But FYI there’s more people who are grateful to him singing with the journey band and that includes me and to the millions of arnels fans around the world .

Move on people. It”s been years since Arnel became Journey”s frontman. And the continuous concerts the band had those years had put a toll on Arnel”s voice already. But you have to hear him sing other cover songs and you”ll say that he”s still doing great. Try to search him singing abracadabra with another musicians and songs by toto and open sykz.

Best long running vocalist? He's only been a "professional" for 15 years. I think he had a great voice, but he hasn't put in nearly as many years/ yours as true classic professional singers. Think about David Coverdale, Ozzy ( not a favorite of mine), Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Tony Harnell, etc and all of the years they've been out singing. They've put a lot more abuse on their voices than 15 years. And yes, I get he was singing before that. But not touring like the others have for 30/40+ years.

I was at this show. He was fine. All the haters are uninformed, deaf, or delusional.

I love Arnel from a personality perspective. It is not about hating. Not one band with a singer his age is asking for $175-300 for a standard ticket. And, those who even come close to that price are giving command performances, and not struggling technically. If you are going to command a premium price, you better deliver a premium performance package. That is not happening. And, no one can conveniently blame it on Journey's touring anymore because they are giving him at least 6 days if not more to vocally recover, and with Covid, much, much more. Deen is 4 years older than Arnel and has been fronting and touring with bands since he left Journey, including a form of Journey itself. His never struggled or phoned it in. Arnel seems like a great guy, but something is off and paying fans shouldn't be expected to deal with what we hear in Ask The Lonely, which typifies his performances now.

@@wordragon Wow. Just a crazy amount of misinformation here. The recent NJ, CNN/NY Show, and the PA show were all scheduled back-to-back consecutive days. There was no 6 days off. Due to weather, Arnel got 2 days off by accident when PA got re-scheduled. If you look at upcoming dates in Vegas (Dec. 1, 2, 7, 8, 10, 11), he is not getting "at least 6 days" to rest. Deen also has not been "fronting" bands since he left Journey. Journey Through Time did maybe 3-4 dates TOPS - and much of the lead vocals were shared by Gregg Rolie. Revolution Saints may have done 2 shows over in Europe. That's it. You really just sound like a cheapskate who can't afford to attend a Journey concert and has now decided to take it out on the band. I was there. Trust me - nobody complained about Arnel's vocals.

I have watched their schedule because of morons like you complaining that, "If Arnel can't hit the notes, then it's Journey's fault!" Go look at the rest of the shows on their tour and residency to see the pattern. You might want to pay attention to what you are talking about before calling people out. STFU, you idiot. Rush(before they stopped), Foreigner, Iron Maiden, and many other bands of Journey's era charge a third to half the price for a much bigger and better show. As a person who works in the movie and game industry I can fucking afford it, moron. It is about excellence.

Having seen some of the bands you mentioned, including Foreigner, Journey's ticket prices are competitive. At a minimum, to see a good rock show, you are probably going to spend close to $100. If you were looking at Journey tickets that were $300, it was either some sort of VIP meet n greet thing or a resale ticket. Since DSB mania/resurgence, the band does charge a little higher than before. And that's their prerogative, but it's not breaking the bank by any stretch of the imagination. Noticeably, you dodged listing the multiple tours where Deeno was allegedly fronting. Of course you did, because they don't exist. As great of a vocalist as Deeno is, he has never truly been road tested - Augeri sounded great until he had to start singing this shit 2 hours a night. The catalog shreds vocalists. As for your extensive movie industry credits, being Peter North's fluffer doesn't count.

nope, he is there mainly to sing, he is kn an electric so they can control the sound and bring him in and out of the mix as they want, hard to mimic drumming on an acoustic kit, especially Deen who likes to hit hard; they don't need two drummers i mean, C'mon

@@kspocketngroove3973 that’s the tough part. They’re both incredible drummers. It doesn’t make much sense to have both of them, but Deen is a valuable asset on vocals.

They already had a second keyboardist before the 2017 RRHOF. They’ve also had Deen help with lead vox since 2004 - way way before the 2017 RRHOF. Sounds like you are a real dedicated fan.
