I’m so excited to watch your first year of teaching journey and your classroom is looking great! I’m going into my senior year as a education major starting internship. I had a question as I’m thinking about setting up my own room next year and saving for items about how much money did it take to put your room together (if your okay with answering)? It would also be cool to see your classroom must haves once you get started this year! Good luck this year you will do great!

Thank you! It is definitely expensive to decorate a classroom and I was fortunate to have a lot of donations but probs a few hundred 😬 and mainly on decor, i stayed away from buying supplies from students bc our school provides it!

A good read aloud book for your classroom is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. I have been reading that to my students over the years. A large desk calendar will help with remembering deadlines and important dates. Remember to do your best to find balance this year. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.

Future teacher question! I’ll be student teaching in the spring and I feel like I need to get a laptop. I’ve been using an iPad for a few years but I feel like student teaching will require a regular laptop. Any recommendations?

Normally the school will provide you w a computer! But if you still want your own, I’m a huge fan of my MacBook
