Back at the beginning of 2023, I started a series of videos taking a comprehensive, chronological look at all the DVD releases that I currently own of television shows produced by Disney, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Disney Channel. Well, I haven’t made a new entry in that series since July, despite being so close to reaching the endgame, and I figured that after a 4-month break, it’s finally time to begin finishing what I started before Disney Channel officially becomes one year older this upcoming April.
I’ve gotten three additional DVD releases of Disney Television Animation shows during the stretch of time when this series of videos was on hiatus, so I’ve decided to cover one of them each after tackling one of the only three DVDs that I currently own of live-action Disney Channel shows.
With the second of my three Disney Channel live-action sitcom DVDs finally out of the way, let’s rollerskate over to our favorite pizza place for a little early weekend retreat with Tino, Lor, Carver, and Tish. That’s right: the next series I’m covering in this series of videos is The Weekenders. This series is surprisingly one of the very few Disney shows to have had their entire run officially put out on physical media, split into two volume sets, but I’m just spotlighting the first volume for now.
The Weekenders: Volume 1 was released onto DVD on March 5, 2013, and contains the first 20 episodes of the series, amounting to approximately half of the show’s 39-episode run. Like DuckTales: Volume 4 after it (before it in terms when I’m covering these DVDs here), it’s a title that can only be purchased brand new through the Disney Movie Club, so I decided to wait until I was able to snag a copy second-hand from Amazon for a decent price. I finally got lucky enough in May 2023, when I was able to buy the set for only $15 from the same seller who was offering DuckTales: Volume 4 for the absolute best price I ever found it for on online resellers. Like most other physical media releases originating from the Disney Movie Club, this set is pretty barren beyond the show itself, with no extras, extras, or even set-up menu screens (the lack of the last of those three features commonly associated with a DVD forcing you to turn the included subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing on using the appropriate button on your remote control). However, the series would not have been available to buy legally otherwise, and it was never made available to stream on Disney+, so this set still has plenty of value for your entertainment dollar. Is it worth the typical second-hand price of $40, though? Nah: either join the Disney Movie Club if you can afford to keep it for the minimum amount of one year, or wait to find it elsewhere online for a price you think is more suitable like I did.
Anyways, here is a rundown of everything you will find in the openings to both of the two discs included in the Weekenders: Volume 1 DVD set…
1.) Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo (2007-13)
2.) DVD menu walkthrough
3.) Disney DVD logo (2007-14)
4.) FBI Warnings and Bonus Features Disclaimer (the latter being unneeded, since this DVD set doesn’t actually INCLUDE any bonus features)
5.) The Weekenders intro (disc 2 only, since the intro is exactly the same on both discs)
That’s it! For the third and final out-of-order new entry in my Disney television series DVD overview video marathon, I’m providing the perfect bookend by going back to the cheerful, sunny world where it all began. Let’s just say,...I know what we’re gonna do today (actually, it’s moreso later this month, but I had to sneak in a clever reference here, damn it!).
Fuck. (RU-vid Kids repellent)

Since this is officially the very final Disney TVA series to be 4:3, here's a fun fact. Mickey Mouse Works was actually produced in 4:3, When House of Mouse aired MMW shorts, they cropped them to fitting mode (Like remastered classic Simpsons episodes).

Hi! Is there any chance you can upload the Johnny Test DVDs with just openings? The original uploads are blocked by WildBrain outside the US.

A lot of videos on this channels (including the Braceface video) appear to have blocked overtime in the United States or Canada and Jason still has yet to reupload those specific videos again without getting blocked in any country.
