I like the way you described how his voice isn’t really attempting to be a lead voice. It does turn into a lead voice as his albums go on especially in this last one After Hours. His voice chooses its own path. I’m just now getting into The Weeknd. Never thought I’d be into this kind of stuff.

As for whether I like the new or old better, I started off on Starboy which came out in 2016 so it’s got a special place for me, but I really love his earlier work. If I had to rank it it’d go: Trilogy Kissland After Hours Starboy My Dear Melancholy (EP) Beauty Behind The Madness I love all of them btw
