Can someone explain what he means by "she gave me all her pills now my back hurt"? I agree the song is pretty deep. I feel like the second part after the sandpaper kisses he sounds a little defeated. Idk might be wrong. But thats what it sounds like to me.
In part 1 Abel warns the Thursday girl to not fall in love with him because he’s “just a bird” meaning he ain’t special, and he ain’t shit lol. “Let me fall out of love before you fuck her” she’s become attached especially in the song Thursday when she says “give them any other day but Thursday” “I exist only on Thursdays” and now she’s confessing her feelings and he’s telling her no, she’s giving him pills as a sort of bribery to sleep with her cus she’s damaged and thinks that’s love LMAO and he’s like okay now his “back hurts” she went crazy over him and begged for him. “Sandpaper kisses papercut bliss” in my opinion means pain or unconditional love/toxicity. Kisses and bliss is nice but not sandpaper or paper cuts. The paper cut bliss part could mean something suicidal especially since in the beginning we hear her cry and play with a gun. She’s been deceived 💁♀️ “thought I told you I’m not him” I think this means Abels just kinda a rebound and that’s why she’s so attached. In a lot of his sounds he talks about filling in that void like “Till Dawn”. I think it makes sense what y’all think ? XOTWOD

I just discovered the original song by Martina Topley-Bird called Sandpaper Kisses and i can see Abel having a taste for her music. Funny though i heard the "Sandpaper kisses, paper cut bliss" sample on a Stephen Marley song called "You're gonna leave" and let me just say all three songs are ear candy.
