Railroads don't seem to take pride in their road names and paint schemes anymore. The good old days is when smaller railroads existed like Great Northern and Chessie System. They were truly beautiful trains. Trains are large corporations now, and quite ugly in comparison.
Just an FYI, it was a failure of an internal traction motor bearing that caused the derailment. Determined to be no ones fault, just one of those things that can happen.
Oh woWWW it's nice to see them so few if any of them Rock hopper cars, I think I counted 3 in total, their all in bad shape, in need of repair, restoration, painting, I love when they first came out bright blue, with dark lettering how awesome then. Great catch 👌✌️👍
Did anyone notice the music playingat 17:01 ?? As the Sperry rail truck rolled past? That was hilarious! Sperry should make it standard to play funny tunes as it drives by. Like the ice cream truck does!
ZD USA Railfan the news in the clip mentioned a bad wheel after looking at the footage of the derailment has happened. It is not confirmed yet, but is still under investigation. Csx was allowed to run as soon as the tracks was fixed.
those are fra men and seem very interested in the 2 nd unit that's the one were yo first see all the sparks flying when the train first derailed, i am thinking a big flat spot or a frozen traction motor caused this massive wreck.
Your right . there was one just outside of town ,east . At the Hawley Road crossing . A real bad one in around 1963 or 64 Some people died in that one .
Is there a reason for the passing train tank car placards to be out of focus? I am collecting information about cargo and derailments. Since the placard UN rules were put in place the public has no immediate knowledge of what hazardous material is being routed through their towns. Fort Worth had an ethanol derailment and fire a year ago. Unless someone is killed and there is a hearing at the NTSB, the details are kept from the public.
As someone who worked in the rail industry, I found it funny, when people would be up in arms over oil being moved through their neighborhoods! Yep, that is what you should be worried about! (eyeroll) But we are not suppose to talk about that.
Crane. Also they are people from different departments and organizations. Two of them are my supervisors. MoW is waiting for them to clean up a little, so they can get started. Regardless, its a private company. Why the fuck do you care? Just a jealous asshole wishing you could stand around.
