Love The Who but they’ve turned into their own tribute band. A long way off 1979 when I first saw them in Leeds. Would have loved to have seen them in their prime which I consider 1970/1977 Good health to Roger and Pete time for the pipe and slippers and memories of the glory days only
Thanks for sharing, I was at that gig and was completely bowled over by how great they still sound at nearly 80. Also, though I'm not much of a classical music fan, even I was in awe of the violinist at the end of this song. Awesome gig all round.
@@jimexley8341 The Who is my all time favorite band. ALWAYS will be. But this performance wasn't great, it wasn't even good... I'm glad I'm not living in some bubble and can still be objective about things (even things I love!). The song is over...
@@jimexley8341 I wasn't either. I became a Who fan at 7, 8 years old in the late 80s. In Austria. Pretty weird 🙃 And of course NOBODY my age shared my love and passion for the band at that time.. Missed seeing them in Vienna in '97 but have seen them numerous times between 2004 - 2016. Plus Roger solo. I'm of course happy they are alive and well, but I really think they should call it a day now... Nothing lasts forever.
He probably had trouble hearing everything. At least I hope that was what happened there. It looked like they laughed it off. Maybe it wasn't the first time.🙄
C'mon guys, you were brilliant, it's time. Put your feet up and bask in that fame and those memories and amaze your grandkids with your video footage, you deserve it!.
Been a who fan since the mid seventies but have to agree. Roger looks so wobbly on his feet now. Touring purely for the money. Seen them 5 times the last being in the early 2000s. I will leave it at that and remember them at there peak.
