Dave is the most skillful and fast and Adrian is a classic rock/blues guitarist. As Nicko said once that Adrian's playing is ''meticulous''. I agree. And I prefer Adrian's playing. Jannick is good and everything ends there. He's an amazing rhytm guitarist but when it comes to soloing..... he don't come even close to those two other Maiden guys. He is sloppy and his solos are somehow ''unfinished''. He's the best at slow, emotional solos, like the one in live ''Blood brothers''. For that one, I give him credit.
Actually, Adrian is the technician, Dave is Captain pentatonic blues. Adrian is very melody driven in his solo writing. he's a lot more musical than Janick and Dave,
Dave`s solo`s are much easier to play right than Adrian`s. Dave is mostly penatonic scale with mostly hammer on and pull offs. I find (at least for my self) many of Adrian`s solos to be much more complex to get right :)
Janick is anything but sloppy. He tends to shred his solos, especially live. But he knows how to write and play riffs. Adrian is very technical which is especially noticeable when he plays his solos live. Dave does mainly legato.
Yeah definitely without question, Adrian is so bad ass, him and Dave have been playing together since they were kids and are so familiar with one another's style and sections, Adrian is an amazing guitarist.
@heh281 I separed the channel "Right Surrund" from the Rock in Rio DVD 5.1... I have all the musics in all the guitars, but in Dave/Janick channels there is drums and guitars.... I will upload the complete show, probably today or tomorrow ;D

No worries mate, "he's such a great showman" right? It's amazing how respectfully he plays Adrian's solos!! I think it's time they send Jan into the studio to add his magic to the first seven albums & re-release them.
I like Gers - he is amazing song writter and I like his more raw sound but to be honest he is god awfull on solos. Sometimes he play amazing but most of the time his style is "be quick as possible and throw everything you can to mix". Actually I think that he is way better musician than Dave (ok, except for solos)
