That and, Pahrump salaries are famously low. There is something here about breaking into policing careers (I bet we see a lot of these guys move on) but also desire to serve a community as pros.
Deputy Diaz did well. Young officer with an old soul. That is a situation with more complex issues in play other than interfering at a place of business. All the team at NCSO are good people doing the best they can for their community. Stay safe 💖.
My mom was LEO for 20yrs beginning in the 80s and that's where i saw her be so caring to the community. She always made sure to give back as much as possible. School supplies Easter baskets Halloween treats Christmas gifts And when i grew out of clothes & toys she knew of a mom who could use it. And when she passed I remembered there being hundreds people there to pay their respects. I'll never forget that. Stranger came to tell me stories of her even more i didn't know. Being a LEO is definitely way more than just carrying a gun and arresting people.❤ The good and bad, to both my parents it was a reward.
Because the Asylums were closed in the 1970s, the responsibility of taking care of the mentally ill has fallen upon LEOs. Imagine if the billions spent on two 20 year wars that achieved nothing had been used to care for the homeless and mentally ill.
Yes, I totally agree, but I think the mental health institutions got gutted in the early 80s by the Reagan Administration. And yes, the wars just cost billions and a lot of lives
Not to mention the billions and billions sent to Ukraine. We have veterans and mentally ill and homeless that money could have helped. Now we're giving billions to illegal aliens. Our government is spending one trillion dollars every 100 days and none of it helping Americans.
Many of them were closed rather than modified with double or triple the staff to keep everyone safe. They truly were Draconian places and possibly worse than anything you see in movies. It all came down to the bottom line. State and Federal funds were not given for any modernization in training, staff, facilities, etc. and they just went by the wayside. It is sad because it seems today there are even more folks in need of some kind of 24/7 care either due to age or mental problems.
I really wished there was more mental health treatment centers for the homeless and uninsured. People dont understand how hard it is for people who dont have insurance to get any treatment.
@@flowerpower3618 yeah at my rehab i had to pay the co pays for my medications. But again they were like $10 cause i had good insurance. Its just so hard for people who don't have insurance cause they don't get a cozy bed in a hospital, they are kept in the er on a gurney
I watch both locations but there's something Nye county that I love. Maybe it's cause as a kid I would go with my grandpa from bakersfield all the way to Elko, NV when he was a sheep herder. I love Nevada landscape. And I really miss my grandpa. Like a lot.
Good cops! Very patient with the lady. Jail wouldn't be the place for her. Sadly there aren't laws to force mentally ill people to help them. The laws were changed due to abuse of them. Now there is nothing for them. I respect the officers for doing their job.
Is it a bad thing that I love watching the opening for Nye County because of the classic blue El Camino and really want one like it? There is more stuff in those buildings than in Fibber McGee's closet (very old radio show reference) and that executor needs to do a detailed inventory and possibly let some retired person live on the property to keep out prowlers and thieves!
In that opening of First Responder's, when that old dude on the ground says, "OMG!", that's what I say looking outside into my neighborhood! Wish you were here, isn't just a Pink Floyd song! This old grandma stays home, the world has gone completely mental!
The night time search of that abandoned property could be avoided if someone was allowed to stay on the property to guard it and/or install some floodlights.
Love love pink puffy heart love all of your videos ❤ Thank you all involved for giving us something new to watch instead of old 911 shows. You all are the bomb, thank you all for what you do. God bless y'all 🙏
It makes me so sad seeing people suffering from mental illness. The police handled her with grace but i truly wish there were more people in society who are willing and able to help these people
These officers are so patient and caring. Love that; they have a tough job dealing with humans and seriously don't get paid nearly enough. Much respect. God bless them and keep them safe 🙏
I would expect there to be a spotlight the officer could use on his car, also there are tactical flashlights that light up a broad swath ahead, I will be praying for all officers to have the equipment they need to do their jobs. Blessings!
Deputy Diaz is quite possibly THE best “peace” officer. He has the patience of Job. God love you and protect you sir (as well as all of our LEOs). I just want to know, did she come back? 😊
Everything Cody said in the beginning is the exact reason why I respect and support law-enforcement and hold them in such high regard 💙when I see them. It’s like seeing a celebrity. I’m starstruck lol
@@colleen113 #1, He came to this Earth to die for our sins. There is NO mention of a wife or children in the Bible even though some (Peter, for one was married- he had a mother-in-law, and Paul mentions a wife for Peter). Also, when Christ was on the cross, he charged John to care for His mother after His death. If He'd had a wife, He would have also made a provision for her.
@@kathleenredick275 I don't believe there is a magic man in the clouds watching everything I do. I have studied the bible, been born again etc. This is my conclusion and my original comment about Mary of Magdalen was just to yank your chain.🙂
I lived in Pahrump from 03 to 06. Absolutely the most god awful place i ever lived. Yes i made 80k on the property i flipped. But the misery of those 3 years was insane! I could write a book 😂.
This is truly Pahrump 😢 I remember when it was just dirt & had 1 mom & pop convenience store. Yes, I’ve been in NV for a long time. We thought of buying property there in the early 80’s and I’m so glad we didn’t
God bless Kathryn. I know LEO officers get tired of having to deal with it and I can't blame them there, but I do believe God has a special place in Heaven for the mentally ill. But for the grace of God go I.
Uh, police do not go into burning buildings first. At least according to most training. I'm not a cop but I know very well from other training, follow the ics. Police DO run toward weapons fire, that is true. (Except in Uvalde.)
@@OutWest-cs5oo so do I, 14 miles from nearest gas station. Our sheriff dept will not. They can verbally direct or help someone out a window, but nobody goes in without at least a second responder on the scene. The first job of a first responder is assess, then act according to training and capability. Don't become someone else who needs rescued.
@@FIRST_RESPONDERS oxford is the other city you film at but i'm sure they have them in NV every county has them i think. what this lady needed was a mental hospital!
Not to bring politics in this but most shelters are stuffed to the roof with illegals. I live in Nashville and help the homeless population here and the number one thing they complain about is there are only 2 shelters here. One for women and one for men and they are always filled with illegals and they receive no help. And in TN it is illegal to camp on public property so you get issued a hefty fine if your caught and if caught multiple times you go to jail. And there is only one mental health hospital that takes patients with no insurance and it is always full.
