In this video, I showcase and fly fish one of my favorite streams in my area. Truly a hidden gem of Virginia, and I hope it stays that way! Follow On Instagram - / aperturesound
Justin, Just found this video. Really enjoyed it! I'm new to fishing VA and trying to find some wild trout streams. Have done most of my fishing out west but am find VA to be beautiful to fish. Appreciated you taking the time to film. Not sure where you are located and appreciate the idea of not overfishing a stream. If you can pass along the location, I might be able to give a look sometime this year. Thanks again. I'm going to subscribe to see what else you come up with.
I know exactly where this is, I was just there last week. Surprising to me, I caught a 18-20” tiger outta there over by the other pull off down the road
If you are where I think you are, that stream has heavy limestone influence so even though it's low, it stays plenty cold. Not surprised you caught more bows then browns as that has been my experience too.
I almost past on watching this because Virginia has a pay stream called Hidden Gem, I'm not into these $60 or higher Virginia pay streams. Glad I watched this
I know exactly what stream your talking about haha. It’s the same thing in PA where I grew up, there’s a stream where you need to buy a yearly membership that’s like 300$ a year lol.
This stream doesn’t have a lot of pressure, so I try to not give the location away to RU-vid and have tons of people going there. I’m more than welcome to send you the stream privately though.
Great video! Love the fact you have good camera and it’s not just 20 mins of go pro footage like most anglers on YT. I’m from va and I’m curious as to where this is, I’ve been looking for local wild stream that aren’t pressured like the ones around me! If you could that info to me I’d real appreciate it! Once again great video!
It is a nice little stream. Fished it last week. VADWR stocks that stream with fingerlings and TU also puts fish in there on occassion. Caught numerous wild brown in your first location, especially under the bridge. Did see a few other fishermen and one of the landowners said it had been busy on weekends. Let's hope the cooperating landowners continue to allow the access and fishermen behave themselves and keep the area clean. Saw no trash when I was there. Lots of bug life! Stream has numerous springs feeding it so it does stay acceptable temps most of the year. Good video!!
Yea the hole right under the bridge is amazing. I always catch a fish or so under there. It seems like trout unlimited is doing a lot of habitat management to help the fish which is cool
