Franks Vs Nicks, Having flown down and been to both. Yes more personal experience is def a benefit. And Mr Frank has influenced all of bootmaking. One benefit I will say from Nicks is that it is a larger company. But Franks has a way of under promising and over delivering making something special a big company cant do...
Nicks is next to impossible to get on phone for help but Franks answered phone directly after a few rings and always takes his time with you never rushed or give vague answers. Always professional and friendly. Same with Nicks just nearly impossible to reach by phone
I think the more these are roughed up and scratched the better they will look. That underlying brown adds a lot of character. Interested to see what these look like in April at end of contest.
Yes, they're looking good. Thanks for the update! That outside heel wall mark made me wince when you turned the boot around to show us. I think in a couple of years that mark will just fit right into the rest of the patina that develops and will look ok.
I wear the boots for work, so they will get an uneven patina, from stuff like that. So I wonder how they will end up looking. The spots will probably darken a little when I condition them down the road
I am looking at ordering the Wilshire too. I’m looking for a black boot. I see they have the black and mocha options. My question is: Is the mocha as dark as the black leather? What would you recommend? Thanks. I love your videos.
They kinda look like black, but they will with time and wear look more like brown, like you see in the video. If you buy them in the black leather, it will remain black since they are black all the way through. So it’s a personal preference
@@qltyboots thank you so much. I will get black then. I’m just on the hunt right now for a dress/work/casual boot in black. I think that mocha color looks awesome, maybe my next pair will be in black.
